Thanks everyone for the welcome. To answer some of your questions..... I'm 33 and from Cape Girardeau Mo. I am just starting in this process...going to all the appointments...I have the psych eval left and the seminar on the 27th of January. I guess after that the support system at my WL Surgeons office will submit my paperwork and see what happens. I have a different situation in that I have a WL exclusion in my policy at work. But I work for a Surgical Clinic where my administrator contracts with our insurance provider. She has agreed to write a letter to our insurance company asking for a one time exception to the exclusion. Let's hope this works! :) I think she can get it done for me! I am so excited about all of this! I have had a life long battle with my weight and want it to stop before I get much older. The last couple of years has been hard, I have had both knees scoped and now I have had an immobilizer on my right foot since Oct 1st......b/c of achilles tendonitis and it won't seem to get better no matter what I do. I did receive letters today from my PCP and Orthropaedic surgeon...to also help me get the surgery approved. I would love to talk to someone who has gone through with the Lap Band and here their story. Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you all soon. Stacy
