WHATS HAPPENING,,,,WEDNESDAY
Well already the middle of the week for me. I found a job that I am going to apply for tomorrow. It's in Branson but just off Hy 65 so will be fairly close to me as far as work is concern. Sounds like something that as a former nurse would be a good job for me, and won't be as tiring as nursing. But will still be in the service area.
Today Joe and I are going to Nixa to have deep tissue massages. We have 6 coupons for these and are sharing them. Certainly it will help my back pain some.
This is the first time Joe has ever had a massage and he is really looking forward to it I think. But of course apprehensive too.
Lana: we welcome you to the loser's bench. I will be calling her later this morning to see how she is doing. Her husband John said she was doing well but need to talk to her myself.
Barbara: wonderful to hear from you. I know about the cooking. Next year we decided that we need to have it somewhere at another house don't know where yet? The only one that has a place big enough is my brother.
Ours isn't big but our common area is large enough to accommodate a lot.
Claudette: LOL yes you were missed but it being a holiday I figured all were busy with family so I hadn't called out the militia on you yet. Yes it must be really nice that you have a job that you love doing.
Diana: yes the two 18 month old little boys had to be fun and adorable to watch. Next Christmas we will have some new babies to watch. Have 2 expecting in Feb and 2 in March. Babies everywhere.
Your son in law is still in my prayers for a job . God can do it and open up something for him.
If I do get a job and can acess the internet on my computer I would hope that I couldn't really as I am too quite addicted to this site as well and have to check it several times a day to see how everyone is doing. Lol.
Andrew: lol you sound like a true gardner. I am looking at all the seed catalogs now and have an order made out for some new seeds to get started in the green house. I received gift certificate to a supply place and have my order almost made out for peat pots and potting soil already. Hope I will have enough to be able to plant all I want too.
What sort of soil do you have there? Is it real rocky? Clay? What? I am lucky right here at my house and property is the best dirt and very little rocks at all. When not 100 yards from me is nothing but almost solid rock. I don't understand it but I love the land we have.
The next time you come over may be able to give you more flowers. Things that will come back yearly for you or even some bushes.
Great that your landlord will break up the garden spot for you . Would be good to get it done now if possible so it could break down the grasses that are on it. Will be expecting some good veggies when and if I get over that way this summer. Lol
There is another surgery today, Glenda S. Havent seen her on here in a few days but her surgery is today and I believe it is at St. Johns also. Claudette could you check and see for us? We would appreciate it.
Hopefully your day goes well and the week gets almost back to normal.
Next month we have several more surgeries comming up. Vesta, Gretta, and Debbie M. to name 3 there may be more. Will start praying for you girls.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN
Well good morning all,
Yeah Im up early this morning, having one of those cant sleep nights so I decided to get up for awhile. I called my PCP last thursday about my C-PAP machine cuz now that i've lost weight I think it's over working itself and set to high, I keep getting air being forced out my mouth. So my PCP called in a prescripction for a new type of machine, that will automaticly regulate the setting that I need and as I lose more weight it'll adjust accordingly, I go to farmington today to exchange machines so hopefully I'll start sleeping better.
Was surprised when I turned the tv on this morning and seen where Pres. Ford had passed away. He was pretty old so I'm sure it was expected by his family but lets all keep his family in our prayers. He and Betty I believe were married 58 years, thats a long marriage. I was just a kid when he was president still in grade school so I dont remember to much of him back then.
Jan I bet your like a kid in a toy store looking at that catalog of seeds and stuff LoL I can just see you picking out this and that to get for your garden LoL. Our soil here seems pretty good, there's hardly any rock at all and no clay that i've come across. The landlord told us the other day that the spot where the veggie garden is gonna be used to be a hog pen so its well fertilized. His dad up until two years ago used to plant a garden there and said every year his tomatoes were huge and everything else he grew was sooo nice so hopefully we'll have a nice garden. There will be plenty for ya to pick when ya'll come this way this summer, i'll make sure of that lol
Anyone heard from Kat lately?? She hasnt posted in ages it seems. I guess alot are still busy from the holidays.
Hey Claudette....When you get time could you email me the reciept of the peanut butter bon bons that your daughter made at the last meeting?? Those were SOO good, I keep the peanut butter balls on hand for a snack, I just love em. Thank ya!!!!
Well Im gonna try to sleep for a couple more hours. Hope everyone has a blessed day!!!
Andrew
Awww, did you miss me Andrew?? I haven't posted in a few days because I have been fighting a UTI and busy with the itty bitties for X-mas. I have also been a little down on myself. The weight just doesn't seem to be coming off. I started out at 271 at my consult, 261 day of surgery and my scale FINALLY read 241 this morning. It stuck at 247 for about 2-2 1/2 weeks. I was really upset. I did go to lunch with a few of my friends that have had it done and they looked fantastic. One of them had the surgery last December and she is in a size 5 and looks wonderful. I have been reminding myself that I am still a "newbie" and it will happen. 20 pounds in less than a month is no small deal. I also got upset because I can't "see" the results unless it is a number on the scale. Good news though, I can fit in a sweater that I haven't worn since my husband and I were dating, about 8 years ago!!! Let's not mention that I can wear my wedding rings again. I can finally fit in all of them (I have 3 that I wear, my engagement ring, the wedding ring, and my anniversary band). They all fit and no more rashes or "indents". I guess I am just impatient and don't want to wait for the results. It has been an emotional rollar coaster and I am slowly getting better.....
Good morning Missouri....
Back to the old grindstone today.....I did have to come in yesterday for a little bit....Today is kind of a slow day but it will go a little faster here soon when all the troops start coming back in after the holidays.....
Sure hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas....My family did, we were truly blessed in every aspect of the season....I fought a terrible migrane all day but that was ok, it was great to see my kids and their gifts....My husband bought me 60 cherished teddies....he bought enough to fill my whole carrio cabinet that my parents handed down to me....so now I am going to make a list of each and every one that I have so that we can continue to look for the ones that I don't have......hubby is going today to do some after Christmas shopping....we like to pick up some little gift sets for my daughters and son for gifts throughout the year....in fact my sons birthday is Jan 6th....
Glad to see that Lana made it to the loser's bench....I pray that she has a speedy recovery.....
Well I better get off here so I can get some more work done...Hope everyone has a blessed day.....
God bless
Rachael
Good morning Jan & Mo. Board,
Like so many others, I've been busy and out of touch the last few days.
I did the "after Christmas shopping" thing yesterday morning, then my DH called me as I was about to come home and invited me to lunch.
Then we ran around the rest of the day together. I love that.
I hope everybody had a good Christmas. We really did. We actually went out to eat for Christmas with my Mom, Sister, & Brother-in-Law.
We had a small group this year......we had the bigger get together at Thanksgiving this year.
This is actually, my Stepmom and Stepsister......but they are true family to me.
We did our very best to make it a special day for my Mom. She needed a good Christmas. She's had a rough year.....with losing my Dad, etc.
She is so tender hearted. She started getting a little emotional with us just arriving and carrying all her presents in. lol
Lana....Hey girl, welcome to the losers bench. You got the day that you've been waiting for so long behind you now. Woo Hoo!! I'll be talking to you soon.
We're almost done with 2006. Have ya'll got big New Year's Eve plans?
Everybody have a wonderful day.
Glenna
Hi gang. Things status quo here, nothing to report. I told ya, I am a pretty boring old broad!
Jan, good luck with the job interview. Enjoy that deep tissue massage, they are wonderful. Make sure to drink lots and lots of water afterward. The massage releases toxins from your cells and that can make you feel not very good.
Val, how are ya today? Should be a week postop now and starting to feel a little better. If not, just give it a little more time.
Andrew, I stopped using my CPAP machine for the same reason. They make a machine that automatically gauges how much pressure you need? Wow, technology is wonderful.
Rachel, I love collecting figurines. My passion is Precious Moments and Willow Trees. Cherished Teddies are so adorable. Guess I better not mention them to my husband, he says I have enough. Sorry you didn't feel great with the migrane, that makes for a rough day doesn't it? How old are your children? Tell your mom congrats on the approval. Get her posting too.
Gosh Glenna, I am jealous. You got to go 'day after' shopping and spend the day with your husband. It doesn't get much better than that; well throw in one of Jan's massages. I hope you and your Mom weren't too lonely without your dad. My dad is not in good health at all, and he said this year will be his last christmas. That is hard to hear.
Gretta, time is getting closer. Are you going to do the 2 week liquid diet? Not sure of your doc's preop protocol, but if you are, just know that the liquid thing is the hardest part of all.
Hey Julia, can you get me the recipe for the prime rib? I love it, but just can't make it. I would love to do that for my husband for New Year's Eve.
Vesta, good luck on the preop testing tomorrow and the upcoming surgery. You don't have much time to wait now. Thank heavens, huh? The two weeks before the surgery are the hardest of all.
Patricia, how is real food now that you are able to have it? Remember to chew it till it is like toothpaste and eat really slow.
Ok, got to go now. Have a great day everyone.
~Diana~
Diana,
My children ages are: 8 year old boy and 10 month old little girl...she is definitely a momma's girl....I haven't really been having the migraines to often but the one I had that day was about ready to put in the hospital....I really thought my head was going to explode....lol
I will definitely tell my mom congrats and I will make her get back on here posting again.....
Thanks and God bless
Rachael
Good Afternoon ,
Well we are back to the same o - same o.
My DH has been cutting and splitting and hauling wood all day, his lower back is
really hurting.
I heard from my son in Nebraska Christmas day, I don't know if I've mentioned it but
they have a 3 yr old beautiful boy and are expecting a baby in May. They are so
happy because she has miscarried soooooooooooo many times.
The big news is the ultra sound says "IT'S A GIRL" and that's what they were really
wanting.
Andrew, I have got to clear the usage of our church fellowship hall at our next
business meeting, which is Jan. 7th. I don't think there will be a problem so plan on
coming the 8th and then we will set up our meetings for the 2nd Monday in each
month.
Well I gotta go, my DH is taking me out to supper.
Take Care Everyone,
Love
Brenda
