any new legislation?

Has there been any new legislation concerning insurance coverage for weight loss surgery? I know there was a bill last year.....but it didn't pass.

Bill 97 will be coming up in the Senate again this year. Not sure when. wouldnt hurt to get in touch with your senator and find out when. maybe even go to support it. Put inyour two cents worth. Jan

Missouri Senate bill 97 has already been pre-filed by Senator Rita Days. She was the one who filed it last year as well. Writing your Senator will help.The more support that is shown from success stories and people who are in need of the surgery but have exclusions the better.You have to keep checking for when the hearing is .Last year they did it on one days notice and only 3 of us were able to be there to support it but there were tons of insurance reps against it.Of course if failed to pass.
