Merry Christmas!
Hi, Everybody!!
Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We got all of our Christmas shopping done today. Tonight we started a new tradition...having the kids wrap presents! Well, if you don't already know I have two boys, age 16 and 11. I had already wrapped their presents and thought, I think they are old enough to start helping wrap presents. They weren't too keen on the idea at first but I put on some Christmas music and my dear hubby and boys and I finished wrapping presents. We actually had a good time! We then ordered pizza and watch a movie. I feel so blessed to have both my boys still at home with me. I realize it won't be long until they'll be out living their own lifes. Just want to treasure the last few years I have with them at home. I still have some pictures to put in frames and wrap for my parents Christmas presents. Just got them today. I will try to scan them and put them on my oh page. I may need some help with that one!
Tomorrow morning we're going to Christmas Eve Service. We go to Sunday School and Church every Sunday. We recently changed churches, after 10 years (for various reasons) so it will be different going to a new church on Christmas Eve. We feel this is where the Lord has called us and we continue to ask for His direction.
I've got to make a last minute Walmart run tomorrow afternoon and then hopefully can enjoy tomorrow night. I hope my family and I can go see the Nativity Story at the theaters. Our new preacher and his wife told us it was a wonderful movie. Have any of you seen it? I just think if it's not too crowded it would be a good reminder to all of us what Christmas is all about. The Birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior. One of my favorite traditions is we bake a birthday cake for Jesus and sing Happy Birthday Jesus every year on Christmas. I hope my children will keep that tradition going long after I'm gone.
Be careful out there on the roads and remember Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
