I'M LATE I KNOW WHATS HAPPENING !!!!!!!

Well I just downloaded some pictures to my profile of our get to gather last night. Wow wish more could have been there. We had 7 pre-and post ops there. Greta Lake, Julia Davis and 2 granddaughters. Barbara Scott and her sister in law, Brenda Minks and her granddaughter, Andrew Walker and his wife Susan , Linda Smith and her hubby and myself and Joe my husband. We had a great time. Lots of fun and giggling and talking. After the dinner Andrew, Brenda, and myself who were all staying at the Best Western went back to our motel and then met down in the hot tub and pool. Really felt good except when I got out of the pool I got so cold I thought I was going to die. I rushed back to the room and got on my flannel jimmies and jumped in bed. Teeth still chattering. Brenda and I both have appointments again in June on the 19th the same day as Barbara T. So maybe we can have a picnic then at the local park or something. The meeting on Monday night was utterly fantastic. And Thanks to everyone that has sent us wedding anniversary greetings. Love you all. Sherr: How is Lucky doing? I know she is busy and all but sure wish she would post once in a while. Miss her. Lol on catching up with me , you go girl , remember im old and I move slower lol. Wish you could have been at our dinner last night you would have had a ball. Just got off the phone with Craig, and he is doing better. His lungs seem to be clearing he said. They put him on some antidepressants at night time so he could sleep and to calm him down too. He sounded a little better. Atonio. The bad taste of vits. Have you tried chewables? I don't think they taste too bad the Centuram Chewables come in orange flavor and the Citracal calcium citrate and vit d comes in choc, carmel or lemon. Really good. Cathy: so sorry you couldn't find the meeting Monday night. Please try again. It is a police and fire station together the only Guns and Hoses Station in Springfield all the rest of them are separate. Lol Hope to see you next month. Julia: loved the poem you wrote for the meeting. That was Cool. Glad you took my suggestion and put it on line. Was great to meet you. Andrew and Susan: You all were such perfect guest. And you are welcome to come back to our home anytime. Maybe next time we will have the guest house completely done. I hope. Brenda: wow you look good girl. Keep up the good work. Hope you and Andrew can get you a support group together over there. If you start one up I promise I will come to one.lol well if Im invited Linda Smith: So good to see you again. You really look wonderful and I hope I can do as well as you. Gretta : what a plesant surprise to see you last night , I didn't expect to see you at all. I envy you being so young and getting to have this surgery soon. You should do really well. Remember to write down all the questions you have to ask Dr. H. he will answer everyone of them for you. It was great to have met you Jan. I feel like I have known all of you for years. I really hope we can have more get togethers. I know it is hard with people living so far apart from each other. I will for sure write down all my questions I have for the Doc. I know I have lots of them. I wish I wasnt so scared. I have three little ones and it scares me that I wont be here for them. I see all of you guys though who have lived through this surgery so I feel better. I just have a little dought. Hopefully on the 26th I will be at ease. Again great to meet you Gretta

Hey Jan and Everyone !! Sounds like you all had a great time yesterday, and I liked Julia's poem it was really cute. Well I will see what I can do on June 19 things sound good right now my grand son does not know what 2007 holds for him yet but I try and pull in the slack for his mom so he can fulfill what is asked of him and like I said things can change before June God bless you all Barbara T.

Hey ya'll, Well we finally made it back this afternoon. Took us a bit longer cuz it rained hard over half the way back but it was a good trip home. Susan and I had such a blast on Monday night and Tuesday. Meeting alot of you from the board here really made our day. We were both so encouraged by the support and seeing how much some have already lost and kept off over the years, it was such a great time for us. For those that live near Springfield and dont attend a support group, you really dont know what your missing. The COF support group was such a hoot!! We had such a great time at the same time we really learned alot. Thats the first support group I've attended ever so I really dont know what others are like but to me THATS what a support group should be all about. Sharing and listening to actually experiences really helped me and my wife both. It was great. For those of you that havnt met Claudette yet, all I can say is your in for a treat and a half lol you might think she's a bit tho lol she's a hoot and half to get to know. I can tell that if anyone that goes to that group has any questions that girl will do everything in her power to find the answer if she doesnt already know it herself. What a blessed group to have such a true leader. I so can't wait to get a group going down here. It was such a blessing to get to meet everyone at the group, I came outta the group so blessed. We got to meet up with Jan and Joe at the support group, that was such a treat in itself. Jan is lookin so good. We went home with her and Joe and lemme tell ya, what a blessing that was. They opened up their home and let us stay in their guest house out back, boy did we sleep good that night. If ya'll ever get a chance to go to springfield or branson ya gotta be sure to stop in and say hi to them, but be sure to call her cuz you'll never find them, like Jan said you just dont run upon their place on purpose, they give a new meaning to "the boonies" LoL, it such a cool place they have tho and right on the lake. Jan's greenhouse is sooo cool and their property with all the flower beds, I can only imagine will be a site to see when all the flowers are in bloom. Jan thank you so much for letting Susan and I stay at your place. You don't know what a blessing it was for the both of us. It was so great meeting you and Joe, Joe is such a riot to get to know. We can't wait til we can go back again!!! Thanks so much. Tuesday was such a great time of meeting everyone also. I was sitting in Dr. Hornbostels office waiting to go back when Brenda come walking out, my goodness she looks so good after losing quite a bit of weight, Brenda it was great meetin ya girl, hope we can get together soon and get a group goin down here. Hope ya made it home safe with all the rain!!! The meeting at Golden Corral was just priceless. Meeting Linda Smith and her hubby and Barbara Scott and her sis, Gretta and Julia with her grandkids there was such a blast. I felt like I already knew em all since chat on here so much. If ya'll get a chance to go to the picnic they are starting to plan on the 19th, DO SO, you'll come away so blessed trust me. Susan has said already she wants to go back on June 19th even tho I wont have an appt so we'll prolly be there too. Well the long drive is catchin up to me so Im gonna go relax awhile. I was just looking at the Golden Corral pictures and was looking and looking ...where is Jan ?? Then I realized the skinny little thing in the blue shirt was Jan !! WOW ! Girl you look GREAT!! You all look GREAT!! I am so glad you all had fun. Dannielle
