WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

Wow what a meeting!! Sure wish everyone from all over the state could come to one of our support meetings here. We have an awesome time. Last night we had about 20 there. We are growing and growing. Several of us brought sugar free and /or healthy snack foods. So we munched while we talked and talked about problems and trials and WOW moments. Great night. Andrew and his lovely wife Susan traveled all the way across the state to attend our meeting. Great night and then Andrew and Susan came to my house to sleep in the almost completed guest house lol I hope they were comfortable at least. We all will be leaving here in a little while to drive the 3 hours to Sedalia for Dr. Appointments. Andrews is at 1:45 mine at 3pm then we have our supper/get to getter at 6 pm at the Golden Corral with several others. Have something serious to talk to all of you about. And that is the Senate bill 97 is coming up for a vote again. If you all will please write a letter to your senator telling them how weight loss surgery has changed your life and how much it has done for you, if you will include photos too of before and after it would help maybe... Emails don't get this one needs to be actual letters. Don't know when this is going to be voted on yet but it is usually a short notice but if you live close to Jefferson City it would be good if you could go. This bill is to force all insurance companies to pay for wls. And just think of all the help that would be for other people coming along that might other wise not be able to have surgery. If you can't go, like I can't then when we hear about the day that this will be we can all at least spend the day praying that God will intervene. Andrew did make it to Springfield and was at the meeting . Great to meet him and Susan. We will be in Sedalia. I think they decided that I was right about us living out in the boonies . lol Barbara T: thanks so much for remembering about our wedding anniversary. That was sweet. Well hopefully we can work something out about you getting to meet everyone and they you come Summer time. Maybe you could bring your grandson with you that day and he could just not have anything to do then lol Brenda: gosh I hope you are feeling better. What did you eat that you got sick on and dumped? How did your babies do with getting their little selfs all prettied up? Take it easy on what you eat and drink today so you will be alright tomorrow. Julia: LOL on making the faces outside. Hope you are feeling better and don't get too sick. Will see you at the GC...at 6pm Colette wrote me and said that they had a dear friend that passed away and the funeral is the 19th and didn't know if Mel would feel well enough to come to Sedalia after that or not. I hope some of the others that said they wanted to come will. Tressia: Thanks for the well wishes on the fun. Lol. I know I will enjoy meeting some new and older friends again. Everyone keep Craig in your prayers, He tried to call me last night and I had my phone off because of the meeting. Then I tried to call him back but he must have been not feeling well at all . I got a offline message from him on my computer this morning that he had to go to the hospital last night due to pain in his chest and upper back. They told him it was a collapsed lung. Of course they thought heart attack but that wasn't the case . He has been fighting bad bronchitis for quite awhile. So keep him in your prayers that he get over this soon. I am going to have to cut this really short today so I can get things together and get ready. So will be back on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Oh that was a wonderful meeting last night, we discussed alot of helpful things, and had so much fun, I feel so excited, after the meeting, my daughter really likes it too. so nice to meet Andrew and his wife they are so sweet..and Andrew looks wonderful. Alan was also there, we were just talking about him and how he was doing, and in the door walked, we were so glad to see him....God bless all on the trip today, would have liked to go but I have to be there in a week for my pretesting........Vesta

Sounds like the Crew had a great meeting. I can imagine you guys there. That is wild about Craig. My goodness he has some major medical issues, doesn't he? Momma Jan, I am trying to catch up with you. I am at 206 this morning...trying to get down there with you.... I think it's neat how the two different events worked out on two days together, how neat for you guys. Anyone heard how Antonio is doing? I talked o "Lucky" or Becks from KC over the weekend. She is doing really well. She had her surgery on 8/28. I hope everyone is doing well. Sherr

Good morning MO Board, Well, I just have to say we had another wonderful meeting last night. Each time, I wonder how it can get better.....but it just seems to get better and better. This new Circle of Friends support group is such a blessing to me. The format that Claudette came up with last night, was something different that we had never done before at any of the meetings I've went to in the 2 1/2 years since my surgery......it was wonderful! Got everybody involved, and we had so many laughs and even some touching moments that had us near tears. Thanks Claudette! I'm so glad for each of you that were able to come last night. Of course, we're thinking of Chris today. As well as Saundra and Monique. Hope we get an update soon. It was great to see Alan at the meeting. He surprised us all when he walked in just as we were wondering how he was doing. It was also so nice to meet Andrew and Susan. I know it is a long trip for you guys, but hope you all can come back from time to time. Jan and Joe....HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!! You guys are just so cute. Vesta and Linda.....It is easy to see how close you are. That is so sweet. Bob and Jean....Man, you guys have really been through a lot. Jean you have come so far. Lana....Just think....1 week from today!!!!! Shari and Brian.....What great support you guys are. We just love you two. We sure appreciate Brian making the grocery store run for us though. Especially, in the rain. What a trooper. I need to mention my dear Jess too. He has never missed a meeting....he is my rock. I didn't mean to write a book, but I just love you all and thank each of you for your part in the meeting last night. It's like getting a shot in the arm to take me to the next meeting.
