WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Was another beautiful day here wasn't it? I wish this could go on and on and on but like all good things it must come to an end also. I spent the day in the guest house cleaning and putting out some candles and pretties and such. Will be so glad when we get it finished so it will be as cute as I know it can be. I'm decorating in early grandma style lol I guess that would be sort of country mish mash now you know if two new styles of décor. I think we have finally decided to get laminate flooring to put on all over the floors. Will be easy to care for and will look good too. I use to know how to make hand crocheted rag rugs. Does anyone know how to do that? I would like to make some for the floors Would fit into the décor I think. My greenhouse looks so cute inside I have about 10 red geraniums in bloom and a pot of double pink impatiens plus one of my purple angel trumpets is blooming. After Christmas sometime I am going to start my seed in the little peat pots and get them growing. Not sure what I will start first. Claudette: I will have a container of no bake sugar free candy too. I think my sister is bringing something too. Does one of us need to bring napkins or small plates? I am excited that Andrew and Susan are coming to one of our support meetings too. Will really be neat to see them. I think there is a girl that is coming with Sugar, my sister, also that is new to the group. And Monica said that her brother is coming with her. So we may have a crowd. What is we have more than that room will hold wouldn't that be great? Debbie M: lol you recording your husband snoring reminds me that I did that to my ex-husband one time. He swore he didn't snore and still didn't believe it when I played it for him the next day. Then for the next several nights he tried to catch me snoring so he could record it but never could lol I guess Dr. H was there and did my surgery. I was asleep before he ever came into the room so I don't know who actually did the surgery lol. I was up the whole night the night before surgery going to the bathroom and so when they gave me the medicine to relax me it knocked me completely out lol never knew anything else from then till they were trying to wake me up in the recovery room and I got mad that someone would be waking me up. Hey when you get able to plant flowers I will always have starts of all sorts of things and seeds and what ever so there will be plenty for you next year, maybe even this coming summer. Well about that bird, Wyno. Was she just sleeping or was she passed out? Lol you know it is no telling where those winos will sleep Vesta: how is your little granddaughter doing now? I hope God heals their hearts soon and things work out for them. Can't wait to see the new mums. And to see you Monday night. Barbara T: well now girl I'm beginning to wonder about you honey. So it is the 19th of June? You are sure? Positive? Lol I will try to get my 6 month appointment on that date and hopefully others will try to too. And maybe we can have another get to getter up there. Would you stay over if we can get others to come too? You know I learned long ago to try and accept what happens in life as it comes because you never know when God had that to happen at that time to keep you from being in an accident or something. So don't fret about the brakes just be thankful you have a car to have the brakes went out on. There are a lot of people I know of that have no cars and if they did and something like that happened wouldn't have the money to get it fixed. Rejoice in it all. Hugs back at you. And hope your church service tomorrow fills your sole to the brim. Sherr: wow I don't know what I would do with out my onions and garlic and jalapeños. I love spices and they don't seem to hurt my new little pouch at all. In fact the more spices there are the better stuff stays down. Congratulations on your bmi being 32 wow that is a good drop since surgery isn't it? Mine has gone down to 35 from 45 I think it is, I looked it up yesterday but cant remember if that is right. Lol Debbie from Kennett: Glad to have you on board. Sherr maybe this lady is someone you can mentor too. Also how far are you away from Fredericktown? Brenda is thinking about starting a support group there so maybe you and Debbie could ride together there. Andrew: that must be nice helping out to hand out the angel food stuff but you know I know a lot of people that buy that because it is cheaper and is good food. I think a lot of people are under the impression that you have to be poor to get it and you don't. It is a good buy for the money that is sure. I wonder what you have to do to get to be a distribution site. We need one in Forsyth. The nearest one to our area is on the other side of Branson or in Ozark or in Gainesville. All of them are so far away. Would like to get some church turned on to this. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday and showing you our place and all Tuesday morning before we leave for Sedalia. Your appointment is at 1:45? Is that right? Lana: how is my angelett? It rained in Nixa this morning? Wow it never here was sunny and warm all day. I know I thought about Marilyn today since I knew this was to be her funeral. I hope her family have all come to terms with it and are at peace, knowing that she loved all of them dearly, I don't feel like writing this daily is a duty really. I enjoy it and it is sort of like therapy for me. So see im not nearly as selfless as everyone thinks I am lol. I don't know if I will ever be able to let go of doing this or not. I have never tried the Unjury protein powder. I do put a scoop of the ON van ice cream in my oatmeal most of them time. Taste good I just make the oatmeal thin and the protein powder thickens it and also gives it a neat flavor. That sounds like a really good idea to put it into your soup. Do you wait until you have your cup of soup drawn up and then put the powder in it? OH what is PUPPY Chow???? For your kids??? See you Monday night. Tara: welcome to the board, keep posting and you will fit in quite well. Please do think about attending this Monday night. It is the Circle of Friends meeting and the address is 2620 Battlefield, isn't that right Claudette? We would love to meet you so please come. Hey another lady that likes to do remodeling jobs? I love them. Hope you post often. I have been so sleepy all day long even though I was out working I think I could have laid down at any time and went back to sleep and I slept well just up and down but no more than usual. I may go to bed early and if so I am going to finish this up because I will wake up some time during the night and then I just check and see if anyone posted anymore that I need to respond to and put it on here too and then post . That is why sometimes you see that I have posted at like 2 or 3 in the morning. After I post the Whets Happening then I go back to bed lol and sleep another 3 or 4 hours. Andrew forgot to ask what do you like for breakfast. I usually have oatmeal or scrambled eggs then I fix Joe bacon or sausage to go with it Hey a bed and breakfast for wls patients lol wouldn't have to cook much would you lol LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning all, Well Jan I see why you take naps. You are up late like me My grandaughters had a dance Saturday nite. The first for the 13 year old. She said it was more fun talking with her girlfriends about how bad boys are. I should have known. Of course the 15 y/o has a boyfriend from Ecuador, Javier is his name, he is really sweet and she had a good time. I finally got my poor lil BOOBOO a bath. I know I will have to do that before surgery now because she feels like she weighs a ton and I won't be able to lift her. Last time I weighed her she was 19 1/2#.But I swear she feels like 50# dead weight when I try to groom her. She is carin terrier, 9 y/o, and my big baby. I have been trying to keep up with all the protein recipes. Most sound really good. I hope to get some UNJURY ordered soon.I want to try something that is easy mixed and tasteless so I can put it in everything. I have only a few presents left to buy, but all to wrap. I am not in the mood yet. But I am glad to at least be that far. Andrew, I too love cauliflower and it will probally be a frequent visitor to my plate. How do you do with brocoli, or cooked cabbage. Are we allowed to have those? As long as it ain't liver I will probally eat it. I am praying for good weather Tuesday so no one will have travel problems. I am excited it is only 3 days away.I only wish more would be able to come. I like the idea of a summer meeting or picnic. Julia

Gooooooooood Morning Missssssssouri!! I tell ya, this weather is just so goofy anymore lol it's in the 50's this morning and yet it's december lol Im sure not gonna complain about it tho, I love it!! Today the nursing home where the FIL is at are having their annual christmas party. It's always fun, they bring in a Santa Clause and have presents for all the residents. Each employee adopts a resident and buys them a prezzie, last year the looks on all the faces were just priceless. Susan made a bunch of homemade cookies for her dad, he just loves em when she makes cookies. We're gonna go spend the afternoon with em before she has to go to work this evening. I guess thats why Im thinking about nursing, I just love spending time at the nursing home, maybe it's like a calling. Jan dont ya dare go to much trouble with ya guest house, I sure cant wait to see your place either, all your flowers and greenhouse, thats gotta be so neat. We so cant wait to meetcha's and go to the meeting and all, it's gonna be like a lil mini vacation for us. As for the angelfood, we have people that ask us all the time is it just for the poor, we tell em heavens no, the local sheriff and police chief plus the circuit judge here in town all buy it lol right now we have like 60-70 families buying it, alot just like to save money. It's to bad a local church in your area doesnt do it, I bet they'd get alot of people wanting it. Barbara put up the angelfood ministries website, I bet if ya gave that to a couple churches they'd sure check into it. Jan as for breakfast I usually have a protein shake, after that Im usually not hungry til lunch time or so. Im low on protein powder so I thought I'd look up the food4less in springfield and buy a container of rocky road or whatever they have since all i can get here is the chocolate and vanilla or strawberry. Susan is gonna pack us some oatmeal packets so we'll have that too, she usally eats that and a slice of microwaved bacon or piece of toast most the time, she's lost about 15 lbs since i've had surgery, this surgery has not only helped me but her too. Julia i've pretty much replaced potatoes for califlower, as far as brocoli and cabbage, Susan made some soup last week and put some cabbage in it and my lil tummy liked it, I havnt had brocoli yet tho, thats next on the list. Now that I'm on stage 3 I been tryin a bite or two of something new to make sure my tummy will take it, so far I havnt found anything that my tummy rejects, i dunno if thats a good thing or bad, tho just after a few bites Im full. Well I bettter get up from here and get my protein shake then get ready for church. Ya'll have a great sunday!!!! Andrew

Jan and all Muggy and damp here in Nixa again this AM. Hard to get the joints moving but I'm still better than last week. Hope you all have a blessed Sunday. About the Unjury. You heat your soup, but not hotter than 130 degrees and I use a candy thermometer to be sure because it says it will change the texture if the soup is hotter than that, and then just stir in the scoop of powder. I cannot taste anything and I'm kinda picky about tastes. About puppy chow. You melt butter, choc chips, butterscotch chips and pour over rice chex and mix well. Then dump the whole bowl into a grocery bag with a box of powdered sugar and shake it up. Definitely not a WLS recipe but the kids will enjoy. Hugs and love and see you tomorrow night. Lana

Hey Jan and Everyone Good day to you that would be a good idea to meet on June 19th but my husband and I wouldn't be able to stay in Sedalia over night that is why I try to get a early appointment as is available for the day of my visit. By June though things could change, so we will see. Service was very good today and very uplifting and just what I needed, so I'm going to rest and watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition, well have a good evening. God bless you! Barbara T.
