Hi Everyone, Im new and waiting for approval

Hi everyone...Im Ruthie from Saint Louis. My Dr submitted by request on the 6th of Dec..Im so excited..I hope UHC approves. Im looking forward to hear from you all. I will need all the support I can get..Im going through this all alone.

No Ruthie you arent alone you have us on this board and there are a lot of really good people on here. Welcome and come on in and stay awhile. The request you speak of is that from your surgeon to the insurance company? I dont know anything about the ins. company so i cant tell you anything there but can give you plenty of support while you wait. Jan

Thanks Jan. Im excited however scared. I called the Insurance co. today. Dr. Mekin faxed the request on the 6th, well they told me today they havent received anything. That was 10 days ago. On Monday I will call the Dr. and asked for another fax to be sent in. I will be so upset if they dont approve it.Tell me about yours. ruthie

Well Ruthie let me say that you found the right board. This Missouri board is the most supportive and loving,caring group of people around. We are happy to have you join us and feel free to ask questions or make comments. We are a "more the merrier "bunch. I too am waiting for UHC to send my approval so we can sit in this boat together ! Hi Lana...thank you for the warm welcome. I will take every inch of support you wonderful people want to give me. Right now I feel like I have hit the bottom of my life. This weight is really getting to me. I just pray that my insurance UHC come through for me. I called them and was told my employer does carry it. Now just waiting is the hard part. I have already done all my test. ruthie
