WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY??

Well I went shopping yesterday. Wow did I ever. I started my day out at my PCP's getting lab work done so I can see how well I am doing for my appointment next Tuesday with Dr. Hornbostel. Hope everything is going ok. Since I have started losing hair I hope I'm not low on something. We will see I will go by Friday and pick up the results. After that I drove on into Springfield and met up with my sister, Sugar. She always has such good ideas for gifts. So I wanted to rack her brain too. Sometimes I get too bogged down into the practical to come up with anything cool. I think I got everyone's gifts. Even got Joe something even though we said we weren't going to get anything after the greenhouse. I got a good deal on massages at the Soma massage place in Nixa so I got those for us really because I intend to use some of them too. Lol I got a lot of food gift cards for several of the kids. Like Joes crab shack and Olive Garden. and Applebee's, so they can go out to eat and enjoy themselves. They none get to do that real often. Wasn't it one of the prettiest days you have seen in a while yesterday? Can't believe that a couple of weeks ago we had ice and snow. Lol Craig: lol yeah that was me. Glad to see you got on the board, you didn't stay long enough but nice to see you anyway. Can't wait to see you Tuesday night. Rachael: hummm sounds like sometimes you have a job where they don't need any one. Lol I guess when you are busy you are swamped though. Right? Every one should learn how to play cards really well there. Melissa: hey great to see you on here. Don't guess you got hold of Benny's aunt today? Sorry about the UTI. Those things cause a lot of unnecessary pain doesn't they? Hope everyone gave you their addresses now. Did you get mine? You take it easy with all you have been thru you need to rest. Andrew: Yeah that is what I was thinking on the weather but like you I am taking advantage of every bit of it. I am going to rake back the straw on my cannas and elephant ears today and make sure they look ok. Oh how big of a spot do you have or going to fix for the mums? I can bring you enough to probably go down one whole side of your house. That will give you an idea about how many I can bring you. Not that you have to put them there. Lol. They like sun too. Sounds like your plans are sort of ambitions for the next couple of days. I am excited that you all may get a support group started over there for you. That would be awesome. Did you get all your honeydos done? Glenna: yeah I got most of my shopping done. Still have to do a couple little things but most of it is done. Your chicken sounds really good. Especially over spag squash and sauce. I have done it with some Alfredo sauce too. Debbie M: Oh so very sorry that you wont be coming to the get to gether. I really was looking forward to meeting you and David. So sorry. I know others will be disappointed too. I hope your day today is better since you said you were having a bad day yesterday. We all have those once in awhile don't we. Seems like no matter how much we trust God the Devil worms his way in. We will continue to pray for Jason and Wendy. Sherr: I love Big Lots too. Anyplace that I can find a bargain is a good place for me lol. I hope Dylan and your dad are better and really not getting the flu, but like so many people that are sick right not it isn't the flu but allergies and sinus problems. I love this weather wish we could have it all winter. Brenda: I see you went to your PCP for lab work too. I didn't have to have a pap smear though. Not yet, not time. Wow you and Melissa both having UTI. Try to up your water intake to help flush. Do you have an air filter in your house? Maybe like the ones that Sharper Image sells. I think Wal-Mart online sells them now. They are about 170 dollars I think but that would be well worth it if it helped your allergies. I had a friend that had so many allergies that she was constantly sick. She had to do away with all of her carpets, curtains and even bought leather furniture. Then also bought one of the air filters and she got lots better. She said she wished she had tried the air filter first. Lol Don't envy you the thought of back surgery. That is one surgery that I would have to think really long and hard about and would probably be my very last resort. Anxious to see you on Tuesday too. Wow on the new sizes. I know how that makes you feel. I bet you look great in them too. Well I think most of my day today is going to be spent, cleaning up the guest house and putting in some wall décor to make it look better over there. My youngest daughter and her husband will be here the night of the 23rd to spend a couple of nights. They are the ones that live in Holiday Island close to Eureka Springs. It is about a 2 hour drive to here so when they come over to not be having to drive over and back in the same day they like to stay over night. Use this beautiful weather wisely. In a couple of weeks we may not have anything like it is for the next few days. So get outside and walk, or what ever you like to do when the weather is nice. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good morning Missouri..... Yes Jan you are right when we are busy we are swamped......Our first group of new recruits after the holidays is suppose to be almost 300 soldiers.....Today I don't have much to do....but I have to take my dad for a follow up from his cataract surgery yesterday..... Well I hope that everyone has a blessed day....time to get ready I have to finalize some soldiers so they can get shipped to various places.... God bless Rachael

Good morning Momma Jan. I plan to get up and make a big thing of chili soon and let it simmer all day. I am being a teenager and watching MTV this morning...lol I'd love a cup of coffee right now...that's the bad part of not having a hubby, I've got no one to send in there for a hot cup... lol.... Hope everyone is doing better today....Our little group just keeps taking hits. Did you guys see the post that Antonio started and his wife finished? OMG, apparently he had a heart attack after surgery.....she said a "small" one...but ANY is quite scary. He's home now thank god. He wasn't in the hospital very long was he? ???? Sherr

Just popping in to say hello. I am very tired today . Spent a lot of time getting my friend situated and home from hospital. She has no family to speak of and needs us three friends. She does have a daughter in Texas but we wont go there. I still pray for her that God would change her heart and find some love for her Mom. Anyway, I took the day off and plan to run like Jan did yesterday. Got groceries to get and gifts to get. \I was shocked that Tony came home!!! Keep him in your prayers guys. It seems to me that pretty soon they will have a drive thu window like at McDonalds for gastric bypass. Colette

Good morning Jan and Everyone Just wanted to say "HELLO" to you all this great day. I've been busy the last couple of days and when I thought to post it was really late. I went December 12th for my post -op visit with Dr. Hornbostel and he said I'm doing great My regular PCP said she didn't want me to lose weight too fast and Dr. H. informed me that I was doing execellent for my age so now I can stop biting my nails because the weight does not seem to be dropping with every step I take but it is coming off. And Jan I took my lab work with me too from what my pcp had done on 11-29-06 and my labs are execellent, Thank you Jesus! My BP is still just a little high but there is hope there too that it will eventually come down, I not really concerned about it though. I don't have to see Dr. H. for six months now. He is such a wonderful doctor and a man of get integrity and compassion, again I thank God for choosing Dr. H. for me. Anyway I just wanted to check in this morning and see how everyone is doing glad to see Tony is home, that Melissa is getting better, keeping everyone in my prayers and asking you all to keep me in yours. Since I cooked Thanksgiving dinner my children want to know if I'm going to cook Christmas dinner (I don't THINK so ) Well everybody please have a wonderful day, today it is suppose to be another beautiful one. Jan Good Morning Everyone: I got the address email or mail thro OH this morning. I only have one person and cant seem to find who they are. Please forgive me Connie Floray I have been off the boards for almost a month. But I do have your list so if you will email me I will get this list to you. Gosh I feel bad not remembering everyone. I got some thing done yesterday then took a 2 hour nap cause I was so tired. Got up barley ate supper but felt a little better and turned around and made 2 pans of 7 layer cookies. Today I am doing my Christmas Cards and getting them all ready to get mailed off. Going thro some of the junk we brought home from the hospital and stuff from home health and what not that has been pileing up around the house. Today is day 2 on my antoibtics so hopefully real soon I will be feeling better. I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!! God Bless Melissa

tks Jan...as many as you want too, make it easy on your self, I love mums, I got a beautiful one in Florida I had never saw one like it before, it is doing good, in the spring when it comes up I will bring you some, I havent had it in the ground long so I will wait until it gets a good start it is still green even after the cold and snow, it is brown and yellow and the leaves are so different....vesta

Afternoon ya'll, My goodness I wish this weather would stay like this all winter, it's just so niceee out. We left early this morning to run a few errands again, then stopped my the nursing home to see the FIL a min and weighed in, I wanted to weigh so I could see how close that scale is to Dr. Hornbostels on tuesday. As of now I weigh 408 lbs, thats 30 lbs gone forever since surgery and 107 lbs total, woot woot!! I still thought I'd lose more then I have after surgery, oh well tho. I'm one month out today. It's really coming off slow. I'm trying to work it out where I can join a gym here in town and get a good work out, hopefully it'll work, if not i'll keep increasing my walking. I've definetly lost inches tho, I've lost 10 inches just on my waist, thats sure a plus!! Jan I got the spot ready for some mums. We are planting them at the front of the trailer around the tongue, it's 14ft wide, its really gonna be a niceeee spot for them, they'll get the morning sun and early afternoon sun. Well I wanna get some other things done before tonight, tonight is a weight group I go to once a week. It's a fairly nice group, just none have had WLS but it's still good to go. Next week is the meeting in sedalia, my one month check up and all, Im really excited about meeting everyone. Deb I sure wish ya'll were able to come too, I know its hard tho esp this time of year, maybe next time!! Ya'll have a great day. Hugs and Prayers Andrew
