University Hospital - Columbia

I'm having my surgery this coming Monday and was wondering if anyone here has had their surgery here? Was it a good experience? How were the nurses and staff? Also, does anyone know if they allow you to bring your labtop?

Hello Crystal! I had my surgery there (RNY) on 9/29 and you will LOVE the ICU staff there. The Nurses are incredible. I took my laptop and never felt well enough to even open it. I do think it is possible to connect, but I don't think you are going to even feel like dealing with it. For me, it was more trouble than it was worth, because I had to figure out what to do with my stuff while I was in surgery. Good Luck to you, and please come back and tell us alllll about it. Sherr

I had my surgery there in June of '05 and think the world of their staff! It was a very good experience! I didn't have a laptop at the time, so can't answer that one for you.

I had surgery on July 27th at University. The nurses were wonderful.
