I would like to think of myself as Wonder Woman, but all I did was what I was told. I got up in the chair, walked, and walked, and walked, and walked. The longest time span I slept when I was in the hospital was only 3 hours. I couldn't lay still more than that. Poor hubby couldn't keep up with me. He didn't get any sleep at all the whole time. Andrew didn't have a long stay either. Just do what you're told. It is a piece of cake. It also depends on each person. If I am not mistaken, Jan said she felt wonderful but they still didn't let her go home until the 3rd day. Keep your head up hun, I will be there for you on the 11th. I will have my itty bitties with me too. I can not find a babysitter for them. Julie and I will both be there for you, unless (God forbid) another blizzard comes through!!!

most people stay for 2 nights and go home the third day. unless you have some special pull or something. lol I felt wonderful and could have gone home the day before i think but glad they kept me on really. that ride home was a booger. Jan

I hope we get to see each other in the hospital. Do you feel that since you are getting the surgery soon you have been eating all you can? It sure feels that way for me. My eating is so bad, thats why I know I need to get this surgery Gretta

Are you already on that diet? I thought we didnt have to go on it till a week before surgery. I guess I need to read the notebook again. I havnt read it since March. See I was scheduled for surgery in March and backed out. Now I am a little more sure that I want to do it. Still scared but really want to do it. WEll take care and I will pray for you Vesta Gretta

So you think I should plan on like three days just to be on the safe side. I have three kids and I am going to need to have my husbands mother stay with them and I need to know how long to tell her. I bet your ride home was a booger, that is a long drive. I am pretty lucky in that aspect I live just outside of Sedalia. Well take it easy and ttyl Gretta

Oh man I hope a blizzard doesnt come through, I not as brave as you I prob would have posponed it and gave up. I would have taken it as a sign since I am scared to death of having this surgery, but I am crazy like that.... Gretta

Heya Gretta, Like Kat I only stayed overnight too but I was prepared for a couple nights. I had no idea surgery would go so well for me. If you do everything Dr. H says, before surgery and after your surgery will go well also. I was up and outta bed just an hour or so after I got back to my room. I didnt get to wal****il the next day cuz my silly foot wouldnt didnt wanna wake up after surgery lol but the next day I was up and walkin around, by the time Dr. H came by he said your doin great, get outta here lol. Wont be long now gurl, you'll be a loser like the rest of us Andrew
