Ambling for Alan

Our friend Alan Hartman is doing great thus far with his weight loss after his surgery. He's already lost nearly 50 pounds which is a tremendous accomplishment! As many of you may have learned though - Alan is fighting a rather serious infection in his right leg and has made multiple visits to the hospital and going to wound clinic in order to get his infection under control. On the positive side, Alan addressed the issue early and got to the hospital keeping it from being even more serious. On the negative side, if the infection worsens, there are serious consequences. While it's apparent through his posts and email - Alan is optimistic and excited about his future, he is disappointed that he's unable to exercise. One of the things he's looking forward to is getting back into the gym - starting to walk on a regular basis and then move into lifting weights and other activities. So, the walking unfortunately is something he's going to have to wait on for awhile. Alan, in an email to you, I pledged to do your walking for you while you're healing. So I've added 2-mile walk/runs each workout day and I'm dedicating those miles to you! This week so far I've logged 10 miles for you - and I'm just getting started. Alan, your experiences and journey that brought you where you are today, your drive to get this surgery, and your hopes for the future are truly an inspiration. While you're dealing with the obstacles thrown in your path, I know that many are praying for you! My contribution will be these dedicated miles in hopes they can help speed you're healing in addition to all of the prayers! Get well soon and hope to see you on the track at the fitness center in the not too distant future. Cards Fan Springfield, MO STEP OFF THE SIDELINES AND GET IN THE GAME!
