Saturday morning once again. Hope all is well with everyone. I feel really good. The scale moved once again. I hope it continues down like this. I was doing a half a pound a day and it just stopped about a week and a half ago. Now it is going down again. Yea!!!! I finally got all of my left over hospital bill paid yesterday. After Medicare I only had about 1000.00 left to pay. So finally got that done and over with. I hate owing anyone for anything. Joe got all my grow lights put up in the green house so it is all ready now. We are going to Lowe's tomorrow and may get another bigger heater for there doesn't seem like the two that we have are keeping the temps where it needs to be. Especially for the new seedlings that will be coming up soon. I'm anxious to get more of their bulbs too if they still have them. Probably won't have. I have geraniums and impatiens blooming also my tomato plant is blooming and growing well. Dannielle: oh you poor baby on forgetting your coat. Honey that isn't good for your health you know. We will keep everything crossed and pray that you get surgery approval soon. Your right that would be a great Christmas present. The Best. At least you have coverage now which is a blessing. Barbara T: Oh wow it is so great to see you posting again. I am so happy. So did you write on your book yesterday? It was a good day for it since it was too cold to get outside. I am so glad that your hubby is doing so much better. I know how it feels to have them so sick and not know what is going to happen. Hurts doesn't it? LOL you don't talk too much I love it when one of you really talks about all that is sweet or important to you. I love your story about how the heart snuggles up to where it knows it is suppose to be. Yes God made our bodies perfect so we should do all we can to keep them that way. I feel so bad now that I didn't take care of this body for so long. But I promise I will take care of it the very best I can now. Claudette: I know how you feel about all the emails and such sometimes I spend as much as 2 to 3 hours a day answering email which I don't mind at all. Since I am not working if I can help anyone I will. I don't always know the answer, well most of the time but I am pretty good about finding someone that can give them the answer. I'm looking forward to the support meeting on the 18th too. Support meetings are so important and wish everyone could have a good one that was close to them that they could attend. Of course the one I go to isn't right next door. I drive about an hour and a half to get to the meeting one way each time. Rachael: thank you sweetie for getting hold of Melissa. I was going to today but got tied up doing some other things. I really hope she is doing a turnaround on her health. Hope you are too. I know how pain can seem to affect everything about your life. Andrew: LOL I made Joe change sides of the bed with me because the heat vent is on that side of the room lol I freeze all the time anymore. I run around in sweaters and jackets. And this is from someone that use to never wear anything more than a sweater outside in winter before if that. Hey I found another veg to replace potatoes and is so good. Cauliflower. Cook it soft and ma**** looks like potatoes but only 6 grams of carbs, 1 sugar and 2 of protein in ¾ cup. Use real butter on it. Very good. And good for the digestion if you are having trouble with constipation. Yes I remember about a support group in cape or somewhere over there. Maybe put it out on a separate post about support group over in that area and see what you come up with. When you want to come over to one of our support meetings just let me know and you and Susan are more than welcome to stay in the guest house .ok? We can go after the meeting and visit with Claudette about maybe you starting a support group and what you need to do. Was it the Cape or was it Poplar Bluff that they had one going? No I think you are right it was the Cape. Tracey: I'm so sorry that you won't be at the meeting at St. Johns. Sure would love it if you could come to some of them. I know you would get lots of good stuff out of them. There is a new one that has started and it will meet this month on the 18 it is called The Circle of Friends. It is very good. Maybe you could get to that one. I will pray for you so you will get your book written on time. Diana: wow that must have really felt cold in there with the door open. Of all nights for it to come open lol It really was cold out side last night Thursday night. I bet you were glad to get to work after all of that. Lol I bet it didn't take too long to get ready in a cold house like that. None of your pipes froze or anything did they? Debbie M: Well all of that is as clear as mud lol I don't understand what Dena was talking about. I know that if you have other insurance and it will cover wls then they have them pay what it will and what isn't paid by them Medicare will pick up or maybe it is the other way around lol who knows. I'm glad I don't have to deal with Medicare. I know Medicare paid everything but 1000.00 of my hospital bills ad they would have willingly let me pay as little as 50.00 a month. That is what I did for a couple of months until I got the rest of the money together and I paid them off today. Hey I got you a ladder so you can get off the soapbox easier. Lol We old ladies shouldn't be climbing up there too often. Sure hope you get to come to Sedalia on the 19th Valerie H: Congratulations on the surgery date. And hang in there it will all go well and you will be wondering why you were so worried later on. Where are you having surgery at? Do you have anyone that will be with you when you have surgery to let us here on the board know how you are doing when you come out of surgery and all? Hang in there on the diet. It gets easier after about the 3rd day. You quit being so hungry then. Hey while you are waiting and stuff maybe you could fill in your profile page more and let all of us know more about you. Keep busy and time will fly. I am so proud of all of you on the board. Everyone is being true to their word and continuing to post and help each other out some. Keep up the good work everyone. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning to all My Friends: Sorry I haven't been on the board lately. I been battling the flu bug and not to mention the kids for the computer. But got up early this morning to get in a few minutes. I know I have missed alot. Hope everyone is doing well. Jan I see you are as always very faithful, thank goodness so all is kept up with what's happening. Hey Andrew, I too have the problem with the freezing now all the time. I have my chair when I sit and unfortunately still sleep in, with 2 comfy throws folded up next to it so I can cover up when sitting. Burrrrr. Well just wanted to say to all my friends, even though I am not online alot, you all are always on my mind. Jan, I think my daughter still has your #, I'll try to give you a call soon just to say hello. God Bless you All. Your friend Tressia

Good Morning Jan.......Good Morning All! Well, I'm up early today, woohoo! Feel a little lost this morning for some reason. I'll get a littlle food in me, take my meds. and do some praying and I'll be better, just don't like feeling like this! I hope it's my diabetes and is gone after my wls. LOL Jan on my soapbox post yesterday, after re-reading it I kinda sound like Popeye! Oh well, I mean no harm! I just don't like picking at a scab! I'm the type person that says, rip it off and get it over with! As for the bird, Wyno.....lol Your post where you referred to her as an old bar fly, I thought about changing her name to "fly" but........after a while I came back to Wyno, it just fits....my pastor will love it! Some others may look down their noses but if they feel that bad about it they can just go back to their ivory towers! Julia.....why are you waiting until March for your consult, if I may be so bold to ask. Did I mis-read something...is Hornbostel your Dr? Is he backed up THAT far? If he is...wow!! Missouri needs more Docs that take Medicare! I pray that everything go well with you and your journey down the wls path. Looks like we might be going throught this hand in hand...lol I have a HUGE need for prayer on my youngest boy! The one down in Springfield! I'm about 99.9% sure that he is trying to get another school loan, signing our name, without our knowledge! Can we say "felony!" I have posted about his good turned bad behavior here lately....satan has a hold of this boy and we, as prayer warriors need to hold him up and sever that bond!! He is a good boy at heart and I know God has BIG plans for him! He just can't see past this gf of his right now! It is at the altar, I talked with my pastor yesterday about it. We are pushing God's Will be done! I DO believe, thy will be done!! Love & Prayer for all, Deb M

Good morning Missouri..... It is bright and sunny here in good ole St Robert but I haven't dared to open the door and see how cold it is....Can't believe it another week gone and yet another week closer to Christmas.... Not much on the agenda today...Christmas cards need to get finished, so I need to pull my son away from his playstation and get them done so I can start getting them in the mail.....Hopefully Melissa will feel up to getting on the computer so we can get the addresses to everyone going....I have a couple that I will email her this morning.... Got my new cell phone in the mail yesterday so I am up and running with the phone.....It took me about an hour to get everything switched over to the new phone but guess what? It did not save my phonebook....so I am gradually putting all my numbers back in....It didn't save my ring tone either and tried to download it last night and it would not let me....Oh well.....I will just get use to a new ring tone.... Debbie M.- I will keep your son in my prayers.....Dear Lord, please make Satan get his hands off this young man....He is a child of God and needing some love from you....Keep him safe and help him to make the right decisions.....In God's name I pray, Amen.... Okay I have a challenge for everyone today.....Let's see how many people we can get to post, since we have all reintroduced ourselves we should try to communicate with each other.....We our here to support everyone whether you are pre-op or post-op....Without OH sometimes I don't know how I would have made it to where I am now....I have made some wonderful friends on here.....And I always know whenever I need prayer I can come to the board and ask and I will get all the prayer I need..... God is good and worthy to be praised....Thank you Lord for allowing me to have such great friends on here....They are a true blessing.... Well I have been a little long winded this morning but I am trying to get everything in....Hope that everyone has a wonderful day and a blessed one at that....I will be off and on today so let's see how many we can get to post.....even if it is just a hello....we like to hear from everyone..... God bless and may God keep each and everyone of you and your families in his arms today and always.... Rachael Medinger

Okay, thats cool but I have one question! Do we get bonus points for the extra posts? I have a question for all the post-ops! What is the one food you miss the most? Be honest! ..lol I'm still pre-op and I don't know much about the post-op diet but I think for me it would be....steak! Everyone brags on how good they are and I have to admit they melt in your mouth but I came by it honestly. I worked many years at a steakhouse in CA so I learned a lot from there but then at home I add my own touch. I hope with me having th Lap Band I might still be able to...at least one in awhile! Praise the Lord, let today and everyday, be HIS! ...Deb
