Claudette said I would lose 7 pounds, but I cannot remember if she said in a week or month.....anyways...I lost half a pound in 4 days of cutting out my sugar and carbs again. Now I know this is not much, but it jump started my confidence that I can do this! I have been used to getting on the scale and it reading a pound extra! So, this little half pound will give me the will power I needed. Thanks to all that are supporting me.

Hi Monique, my name is Debbie. I have been around awhile on this board even though I'm still pre-op. Just waiting on my psych eval to get sent to my surgeon and then I will have a date! Are you pre or post- op? I know Claudette from the board and whatever she told you I'm sure will work. Unfortunately, I wan't in on that conversation so i can't tell you whether it was a week or a month. I can tell you that every little pound or even half a pound helps. Kinda like the song says, one day at a time, we go a pound at a time. Hang in there and keep the faith! Deb M.

over 2 years post op. Lesson to learn is that you will always battle your weight! I was fat my whole life, and thought the surgery would be a cure. It is, but you have to learn to eat right, always follow the rules.

Work is right Jan! I made flaky biscuits with the meal last night, and only had a bite. But they called my name all night long!!! But I was strong girl, I stomped off to go to bed wanting that dang biscuit all night. Here is something that really gets my goat. I go to a restaurant, and they only offer potatoe or rice as a side, but not vegetables! I had to quit going to some places just for that reason. Okay, done complaining now. The no milk dud or caffeine thing is starting to make me cranky.

MO, Wishing I could have one of everything you just mentioned, especially the milk dud and coffee... Hang in there....I noticed the same thing when I went to look at frozen dinners...all have rice or pasta sides.....and I was looking for something that has a sauce, gravy or some kind of moisture so that I can actually keep veggies or meats on my stomach, which I have not been able to do that. Hang in there friend. Sherr

Monique, I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do it. Just think, by summer you'll be bikini-ready. WOO HOO. We'll all keep you in our thoughts and prayers and just tell those biscuits and mild duds to go to HECK!!! They won't miss you and you'll be so glad when those pounds start sliding off. Lana
