Sisters surgery
Hello
Just a note. My sister had surgery today at Sedalia/Dr. Hornbostal.I rec'd word that everything went well. In addition to doing the RNY he also fixed a hernia. We were a little more concerned than usual because she has had a coronary bypass in the past. The Cardiologist is the one that had recomended the surgery for her. He told her the risks of not having the surgery were worse than the risks of having the surgery. I am going to see her tomorrow. We will leave springfield about noon. Her son said that everyone was super at the Hospital and no problems. I had surgery August 2004 and I have lost 225 pounds and I am so excited that my sister was able to get the surgery too. I have another sister(the baby) that is planning on having the surgery too. Hopefully in the the next few months. I think she will have to go to Sedalia too due to having Medicaid as insurance.
My Older sister, kathy, the one that had surgery today would like to get a support group started in the Hermitage Mo. area. If you know anyone that is from that area and would be interested let me know. I plan on going and helping them get started. I am not an expert but I have over two years of experience as a bariatric patient and I have read the OH missouri board for quite some time and have recomended that they participate in the OH forum too. I am hoping they can have an open forum like the cirlcle of friends was last monday night. That was an awesome meeting. Thanks for all the info. I have not made the nobake cookies yet but I finally remembered to pick up all the ingredients at the store today. so maybe when I get back from visiting my sister I will make some tomorrow.
Remember my sisters in prayer.
