How long did it take YOUR ....
How long did it take your shrink, psych, whatever to get the results of your psch eval. over to your Dr's Office? My shrink said it would be 2 to 3 weeks.
I went to the Coventry website to see if they had anything on their files about my wls and it showed that my shrink had billed them $270.00, the same amount that I had to pay and that was on the same day that I got seen.
I called Medicare to see about me being "approved" anytime soon and was told that Medicare doesn't do that. They wait until they get the bill after everything gets done and then they decide if their gonna pay.
I then called with Dena to see if she had heard anything from my shrink, she said no and that maybe I should call him...so I did!
He came to the phone and said he had been busy and hadn't had time to get to it yet but said he would as soon as he gets a chance, it's been almost 3 weeks!
Uggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Frustration is kicking in full time now!
well dont let up on him ...call him this thursday and see if he is working on getting it to Dr, H. didnt they recomend him to you . do you think Dena would or could call him to see if he had it available to send to them?
This isnt what medicare did with my case they approved it before surgery. or that is what i was told that the doctor sent them all the paper work and they then approved it and approved the hospital that is what took about a week and a half to get done. I have found that you call medicare two different days at two different times and you get two different answers. lol I know it is flustrating but hang in there kid you are getting close. Jan
Hi Debbie,
Sounds like BS to me how your shrink is doin things, mine did it right then and there, was on the computer typing everything up and when we were done he faxed it right then and there over to them they got it that day,hes out of Independence,Mo.and it was about a fithteen min session too lol. And for medicare, cause thats all i have, approved me within a week after dina and them sent it in,yup i found out a week later. So dont let them BS you around, talk to their supervisor if you have to but dont give up,well got my essement in a few hours so wish me luck as i wish you the best of luck as well,Godbless hun

medicare only takes about a week to approve but Dena cant send it in until she gets that paper from the psych doc. and there isnt any sence in him taking that long no matter how busy he is. all it takes is a few lines from him saying that you are of sound mind and understand the surgery and the rules and such. lol Any way the psych doc is the one holding it all up . like i said maybe Dena could give him a call too and ask when he will be able to fax it to them. Jan
medicare approved mine before, I go for surgery in Jan.. maybe they have changed the rules since then, sounds like the psych is the one holding it up,I had my psych to give me a copy and I took it to D.H when I went for my appointment. just hang in there and I pray it will start happening for you...God bless.....vesta
Thanks for being there for me guys! I can't believe it's taking this long either. Maybe my mistake was paying him in full, upfront. I was told by both him and his receptionist that I would have to have the total amount paid off before they would send in the report. So what's keeping them?
Hmmm, Dena just called me......I was sooooooooo excited I thought the end of my toes were gonna blow off...lol It wasn't what I thought it would be! Seems, that there is another person on the board that went to this shrink and they are having problems getting there report too! The plot thickens! Don't wann **** him off though, he might get me denied!
I'm thinking about calling the shrink back today and telling them that Dena called me needing my psych eval so she can scehdule me for surgery! According to her, THATS ALL I NEED! That Dr don't know who's way he's in, but he's gonna find out soon enough!!
Love & Prayers for all...Deb M
