weight gain
I am just writing to be accountable to my new support out there. I have taken Claudettes advise and cut out the refined carbs. This past week I was pretty good. I would not put the side of pasta or potatoe, or that half biscuit on my plate. If it was killing me too much, I reached over and just grabbed a little bite off my boyfriends plate. I only had meat and vegetables on my plate. I did break down and eat some crackers with chili the other night, and my 4 year old wanted pop corn, so we shared some. No milk dud or candy has crossed my lips! Just the three new recipes I made that Claudette gave. Now I am addicted to those no bake cookies! I have switched to half and half on coffee to make it half regular and half decaf. I will go completely decaf soon. We shall see if all this makes a difference. Please let me know if you have other suggestions for me.
Monique,
It was so nice to meet you at the meeting COF meeting last week.
I appreciate the effort you are making in changing your eating habits. It's so easy to ease back into the "old ways"....before surgery.
Sometimes I have to just stop and realize what I'm doing and make an effort to get myself back on track.
A lot of people don't realize at first that this is a tool and that we will have to keep ourselves in check the rest of our lives......but without this tool, I would still be where I was before surgery.
Hang in there, you've got all of us pulling for you. We support each other.
