yesterday morning here started with fog, so thick that you could feel it. and so thick that you couldnt even see the rode in front of our house. but by 8 the sun was out and it got up to 42 yesterday ..most of the ice and snow is gone except for where the sun doesnt shine much. but it was dripping off the roof in a steady drip. The green house is staying at a nice balmy 70 degrees so it is a nice retreat when you are outside working and get a little chilly. we chipped the ice off the bird bath and the dogs watering tubs again this morning. I guess it will all be frozen again in the morning but maybe not quite as hard lol is suppose to get back down to around 17 tonight again. One thing about the winter weather we have here in the ozarks is that it doesnt last a long long time. within a few days it is melting . I imagine there will be a lot of people not going to church in the morning tho since it will be frozen over again still at that time probably. Wow Kat was in and out of the hospital for her surgery .She and Andrew didnt hardly get laid down in the bed till they had them up and doing th leak test and out the door they went lol. Hope Andrews elect is back on now. But i doubt it. he said they had crews there until they were told that St. louis needed them and they just left to work in St. Louis and left them with no elect yet. That doesnt seem too right does it? The greater good for the most people. hmmmmmm. Barbara Scott: i hope your hubby got some much needed rest yesterday. Did he have to get up and go right back out? Good thing this doesnt happen all the time he would either be a rich man or a very tired one , one or the other. lol Yes i am hoping that the weather is done for the time being too. at least until after the 19th also. Sherr: how did you know the poddles were saying Miami? did they have their surfboards and bathing suits packed ? Well watching the food network is sort of like torture isnt it? or are you like me and the fact that food doesnt seem to cause me to want or not want it. couldnt care less. Did Janet get to go home yet? Barb S: im sure you will have a new picture of you soon. when you start losing all that weight you will have a beautiful smile on that pretty face. Lana: sorry about your arthritis flare last night. I know that has to be painful What is your doctor giving you for it? shots? or what? I was hoping to hear from Melissa on the board today but i guess she needed more time to rest than she thought she would need. Im glad that Tom seems to be handleing the death of Marilyn so well. She said that they had talked about the possibilities of something happening . So im sure he is remembering her wishes. about buying clothes was how i felt before surgery. I was really needing some new winter things but i refused to buy anything until i could see a drop in size. i have such a small amount of stuff now that i wear that i dont have much choice for clothing. I have 2 everyday outfits and one dressy one lol dont see any sence in buying a lot if im not going to stay in this size long. Yeah everyone watch your spouse when it comes to cleaning the driveway . That can cause some serious heart attacks .

Good Morning Everyone, Well the snow has subsided but it is white everywhere. Had to go to KCI airport and pick up our truck last nite. Our son from Texas had to get to the airport for return trip and we told him to park our truck up there and we would come get it as soon as the roads were clear. It is one hour and 30 minutes round trip. So we did that last evening. Sure glad we were able to get it home. God left us have a safe trip. Not much on the agenda today except church and then this afternoon our choir is singing at the nursing home in Concordia, so I will be going there at 300 to participate. Everyone stay warm and have a great day. Jesus loves you!!!! Colette

Momma Jan & Co: Yes, Momma J, the poodles had their snorkles and goggles ready too...LOL Food just is not my friend any more.....I can eat crackers, granola, cold cereal, sometimes apple and that's about it. I don't think I have lost any more in the last week. But that is okay..... Janet C. is home.....the only contact that I've had with anyone in her family is calling and speaking to her step son that is about 10 years old. He is the only way I found about Janet. When I called she was asleep this morning. But safe at home, and that's what counts. I am glad to see Kat post too.... Who do we have on the schedule now? I know Vesta is coming up....who else? Sherr

Hi Jan and all, It is a lazy Sunday for me. Finally got a chance to get away last nite so I did. Got home late or should say early this am but did get to talk with some old friends. Yes I do temporary apatment management since June. It is a full 24/7 job though. Even had people here today giving me siding and guttering estimates. I am ready to relinquish the position tho because people who don't live her such a board members and others don't seem to have a vested interest in helping get things done. Just too much complaining from too many cheifs and no indians to help. I am having to do a lot of maintance labor my self that I am too old, too tired not qualified to do. I hope after surgery maybe the end of next year or so I can go back to nursing. My license are active in Mo. and Ks. I am going to try to get some protein powder and start experimenting with various combos. The ones Glenna gave today sound wonderful. Take care and if I could send you some of my snow I would. Just wanted to add my childrens greatgrandmother used to mark the first tracking snow of the season on the calendar. She always said what ever the number of the month it was on you would have that many more tracking snows, ex: Nov 30 would be 30 snows for the winter. She was always right back then so if it holds true we are in for it in this area. JULIA

I have a migrane that doesn't seem to want to go away! I pulled some muscles in my upper back and neck on the left side one day this was from sleeping wrong and just as it was getting better, I pulled the same muscles, on my right side while pulling my pants up...go figure! I had also went to my PCP for sinus problems again....he gave me an antibiotic and a decongestant and told me that I have chronic sinus problems and need to see an ENT. This was before the neck and upper back pain. I have tried every concoction for this pain and nothing is working! I will go back to see him tomorrow if it isn't gone. I just hope he isn't in the Phillipines helping out, he is phillipino (sp?) and goes down there to help, all the time! Doctors without borders! It's a very good thing...I just hate it when I need him too. I feel quilty because I know they need him more but what can ya do! Anyway, my point is, I sure could use some prayer over this issue...prayers for my hubby and kids would be welcomed as well too...Thanx Also, questions I see here and there on the board that people have called their insurance companies and found out if they approved or not. I would just like to call and find out how far along they are on my case. I have Medicare and Coventry. I know Coventry is a big NO but I'm trying to find just were we are. This waiting is getting old and so am I...looking for help now. If anyone has their phone numbers or know EXACTLY, what I am to be asking for please email me, I live in Harrisonville, just south of KC....Thanx Also, anyone hear from David W? He hasn't been on for awhile and I was wondering if he is okay! I will apologize for any bad grammer or spelling...I am heavily medicated in a lot of pain....Thanks for your help in advance guys! I pray that EVERYONE is doing great! The bird likes Wynonna Judd's music, especially when she sings Elvis's music. If I have any other music on she just sits and doesn't do anything but if I change it over to Wynonna's music, the bird dances and sings....it's funny as can be. I thought about naming her after Wynonna somehow but haven't come up with just the right name so if you guys come up with anything, let me know! Love you all....Deb M
