My husband is not being supportive

My family is not being very supportive. I keep saying to my husband "dont you want a hot skinny young wife" and he replies with How hot can you be if your dead. I think that is why I am so nervous about having the surgery. I just wish he would realize how hard it is to be heavy.

He is probably scared too. It isn't uncommon for people to have fears, it is what you do with those fears that make a difference. Let him meet some people who have gone through the surgery. Let him see how much more healthy they are and how that is your desire. He doesn't want a "hot skinny young wife"! He wants you which says a lot about his love for you. I can't speak for him but just tell him that prayer changes things! If this is God's will for your life all the right doors will be opened to you and your family. Yeah I think that meeting some of the ppl would be a good idea. I was just joking about the young hot wife. I just try to make a joke about it so he will relax about it. He doesnt but I still have my surgery date. He he Gretta

Gretta, My husband wasn't very supportive of me having the surgery either. But now I have his full support. I believe it is just fear of losing you. I am sure he will come around when he see the differences in your great new body, and will he can really notice the difference. It took about 4 months for my to come around, but now he even watches what I eat, and tells his parents what I can and cannot have. He is really good now. Just give him time.
