I am so scared!!!!!

I would really love to have an angle to help me through this. My surgery is for January 11. 2007. I just really would like to talk to someone that has had the surgery and would love it if they had Dr. Horbostel. Thanks

Gretta, mine is Jan 9th with Dr. Hornbostel, I have had the same feeling, but I have also looked at all the people that has had good experience with it, I am going into this at 66 years old. there is some good people on here that will share their experience with you. I think we have a great Doctor, I have heard alot of good things about him. there is several on that has had him.....God Bless.....vesta

Well thank you for responding to me. I still feel so scared that something bad will happen to me or I will have complications. I dont know. I really want the surgery but my fear is starting to get to me. We should really keep in touch since our surgerys are so close together. Well god bless you and have a wonderful day Gretta

yes Greta we will keep in touch, you know I went through a really bad time little over a week ago, but everyone on here talked me through it and now I am better, so I think the worse part will pass a little, It is human to worry but turn it over to God and pray Gods will be done. i am doing that now and cant wait for my check up the 28 Dec. and if everything is go for the 9th of Jan then I will be ready, buttttt if there is any thing wrong with me that the doctor dont like I will wait until it is a go, so see we have to think in those terms and wait to worry until the time comes to worry...just say God it is in your hands, and I sure was relieved to hear Dr. Hornbostel is a christian and he prays befor each surgery..so lets just not worry until time ok? love ya....Vesta

So what was your really bad time? I hope all is well now. Do you think there will be something wrong so you cant get your surgery? Have you gone to any of the support groups? I am going to go to the one on the 12th of Dec. I figure if I can see people that have had the surgery then it will make me feel better. So are you from Sedalia? I am I live in the country of Sedalia. I am 32 years old with a wonderful husband and three kids. I worry that something will happen to me and my kids will grow up without a mom. That is what I keep worrying about. I am so mad at myself for letting myself get so heavy. I just dont know what to do Gretta

Gretta it is normal to be somewhat scared but if you believe in God that will help. I had Dr. Hornbostel in August of this year. I am 65 and came thru with flying colors. I have now lost 52 pounds and into a size 12 . Im thrilled. What do you need to know. Dr. H is a great Christian Doctor and prays before each surgery i have been told. I know he is very kind and very caring and his staff is always there for you. If you have any questions they will help you in anyway they can. Hi Gretta, I too am having surgery with DH on the 12th,And I am pretty nervous as well,But thats cause,I dont want nothin to get into the way of it.I waited too long for anything to go wrong now,Got to be there on the 5th for the essesment and thats my biggest fear is that they'll find something wrong and that will make me mad.But you said about being scared nawww,i would'nt worry at all about it.I got the upmost faith in our DH and of course our dear Lord and dont forget the lil,what can go wrong Maybe i'll see ya there Godbless and goodluck!!!

Please don't be afraid. I once read a quote from Les Brown that says "Fear does not have any special power unless you empower it by submitting to it!" I had surgery from Dr. Hornbostel on October 10, 2005. I've lost 200lbs and counting! Dr. Hornbostel is a fine Christian man. Him and his staff will take such good care of you. Don't worry about anything! Life is so great now. No matter what you go through always give the glory and thanks to the one who has created you!
