View of Dr.Hornbostel and office staff

the only words that can sum this up is Simply AWESOME bunch of people to deal with,first off i have never ever been put straight thru to a Dr. of any kind and talk directly to him and/or never had one call me back always had to relay things thru a nurse.Which is no big deal but at times you would like to talk to the Dr.Like he told me yesterday after the 2nd cancelation of surgery Dr.H cause of my Potassium Level being to Low he said he was more concerned about me and my health than doing the surgery,and i agreed to go see my Internist to get this issue under control before we even talk about another datemy 1st date was 10/30/06 canceled cause of same problem potassium was to low no big deal on that one i thought so up the potassium and do lab work every thing was a go so called Margie set a Date again it was 11/27/06 get to Bothwell do Lab Work again Pot. was still to low ggrrrrrr.I was thinking and talking to the wife well wheir do we do or go so we talk about it in the prep area till Dr.H comes in so we have some sort of game plan in mind so decided i should see my Internist ASAP which i did yesterday called at 11:00 from Sedilia had to be back in Columbia by 1:00 p.m. very tight,so after that appt.called back over there and got to Dr.H directly as he said do dang that is strange told him that i would keep him updated and hopefully plan the surgery for sometime after the new yr.so that is my up date for you nice folks out there sorry for the misspelled words and grammer LOL.oh yes before i forget the office staff has been great hearing my situation and head in me in the right direction hats off to you also. P.S maybe like they say the 3 rd.time is a charm LOL

Oh man i know that has to be disheartening John. but maybe like you said third time is charm. And yes all of us that have Dr. Hornbostel think he is the top of the line and suce a great guy besides being a great surgeon. He always has time for you and it is so easy to get hold of anyone there that you need to talk to. Did you find out why your pot. level is low , what is causing it? Hope it gets fixed soon. Will keep you in my prayers so you can get that going. Jan

well like him and my Internist said it may be a high blood pressure drug called Hyzarr which my Dr. said lets rule out the easy things first then go to the difficult stuff if we have to so he chanfed me back to Cozarr for this week and draw blood next Monday then go from their my Dr.said he would get it normalized before we set another date Dr.H said to keep him and Margie posted told him i would.Looks like it will be after Jan.1st.i'm just gonna enjoy the holidays and not worry about surgery for now.like Dr.Hayes said it is not a life or death type situation and i agreed all i wanted is to be on the other side of aall of this and starting with the new me.
