2 week check up
Went to Dr. Edwards yesterday for my two week check up. Guess Dr Hodges was still on vacation. He removed my drain, what a relief to get that thing out, it must of been wrapped around my toes or something from as much of it as he pull out. I didn't even feel it coming out at all. He said everything was looking good. When the nurse weighted me she hit the reset button 3 times on the scale. Guess she couldn't beleve that since the last time I was weighted in the office I lost 36 pounds. Since I have been home I have lost 26 pounds. I can't tell that I have lost that much but my wife says she can tell I have lost. I don't have to go back for my next appointment for a month. Also it was great to see everyone last night at the COF meeting. Another great meeting I learned a lot again. Alan
Alan that is fantastic. How are you doing with the liquids? I am struggling so much. I am much hungrier than I thought I would be. I am practically salivating thinking about starting soft solids on Friday. (I had my surgery 3 days after you). I am not doing as well as you on the weight loss though, 16.5 but I am still happy about that. I just wish I wasn't always feeling so hungry.
Anyway, congratulations on everything. I had my drain out last wednesday (just 5 days post op). It was quite a wonderful feeling, I have to agree.
Take care
