Went to Dr. Edwards yesterday for my two week check up. Guess Dr Hodges was still on vacation. He removed my drain, what a relief to get that thing out, it must of been wrapped around my toes or something from as much of it as he pull out. I didn't even feel it coming out at all. He said everything was looking good. When the nurse weighted me she hit the reset button 3 times on the scale. Guess she couldn't beleve that since the last time I was weighted in the office I lost 36 pounds. Since I have been home I have lost 26 pounds. I can't tell that I have lost that much but my wife says she can tell I have lost. I don't have to go back for my next appointment for a month. Also it was great to see everyone last night at the COF meeting. Another great meeting I learned a lot again. Alan

I could see it in your face that you had lost some Alan. so good to see you and talk to you. My sister said she really enjoyed talking to you too. Cant wait till you are about 3 months out and see the amazing transformation you will have gone thru by then. Jan

Alan that is fantastic. How are you doing with the liquids? I am struggling so much. I am much hungrier than I thought I would be. I am practically salivating thinking about starting soft solids on Friday. (I had my surgery 3 days after you). I am not doing as well as you on the weight loss though, 16.5 but I am still happy about that. I just wish I wasn't always feeling so hungry. Anyway, congratulations on everything. I had my drain out last wednesday (just 5 days post op). It was quite a wonderful feeling, I have to agree. Take care Barb Studt

Alan, I know you, i have taken care of you in Angio in the Radiology Dept at the John. i am one of the nurses that used to work there. So glad to hear you are doing well after surgery. I am thinking of having a gastric bypass, I hope Dr Edwards can do it. Goog luck and good health. Tara
