Doing good
For the most part I am doing good, I still have this drain in and is a real pain in the @#$ or should I say my side. But with all the stuff that has come out of it I am kinda glad it is in because I would rather get it out of me than left inside. It dose hurt but not to the point that I have to keep taking pain med's. I did have one real bad day tho, yesterday morning I woke up in sever pain in my belly and felt weak, and dizzy.
So I spent the better part of the day in bed. Today tho so far I feel ok. I am going to have the drain removed Monday at 4:10. I am hoping to be able to make it to the meeting after that if it doesn't take to much out of me getting it removed. So if I don't make it to the meeting you know what happened. Alan

Hi Alan...I don't think we have been properly introduced but I'm Debbie or Deb M. Even though I didn't really get to talk to you much before your surgery, please know that you were included on my prayers! I am very pleased to see that your doing good. I hear you guys ( post surgs) have good days and bad, sorry about the bad.
I haven't had surgery yet but I have had a drain tube that wasn't a lot of fun. I had a cyst on my tailbone that had to be removed, it was about 4 inches long and after it was removed, they put a drain tube in it so I understand about the gunk coming out. Better out than in ,like they say! My hubby called it my tail...lol
I'm glad your doing better and I pray that all your days are better ones and that you heal quickly and start dropping that weight like your wanting. God Speed!
Deb M.
Alan so good to hear from ya, glad you doing better even tho you had a bad day. I know it will all be worth it in the end. I know for me I dont regret one bit having surgery, I'm feeling so much better then I have in years. I bet once ya get that drain out you'll feel like a new man.
Bless ya guy and keep in touch.
Andrew
Alan great to see you and glad you are doing well. yeah there are days like that when you dont feel well. After a couple of weeks they are less and less tho. so you are getting there and i assure you that once that drain is out you will feel a lot better.
hope you make it to the support group. anxious to see you . are you walking and sipping? Jan
Hey, Big Al,
Glad you're mostly doing well. I am having some slight bumps in the road to surgery but think it will happen 12/27 now with Dr. Edwards. I'll tell you when I see you. My DD and GS are here now so I've been pretty busy. Talk to you later, hope to see you Monday night. John is coming with me.
Hugs,
Lana
Alan,
I agree....the drain is a pain "in the side". lol I was sooo glad to get rid of that thing.
I was pretty concerned about it hurting when Dr. Hodges took it out, but when I got in his office, he was asking me questions about how I was doing etc, and I was answering him. Before I knew he was even ready to take the drain out, he had it pulled out!!!
I was surprised.....when I looked down and he already had it out. lol So, I hope yours comes out as easy as mine did.
We'll just plan on seeing you Monday night at The Circle of Friends.
