Kellie, I pray that you'll have a peace in your heart prior to your surgery. I know that when it was my turn, I had not much support from friends and family, and it was through prayer that I KNEW without a doubt what I needed to do. I hope you'll find that same strength again. : ) Hugs, Tami

Kel, Welcome to the board. I know our dear Marilyn would have been the first to encourage you to grab onto life and live it boldly and not fearfully. She knew the risks she faced and chose to try to make her life healthier and longer. As far as I can find out the surgery didn't cause her heart attack. Her heart just wore out.
