SUNDAY WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!
Well i guess i will start this again. I had most of it done and went to save it for posting later and (clik) hit the wrong button and erased it all .lol can tell i have been off the computer too long. gheeze.....I think i am home for awhile now . And pray nothing will go wrong with the computer either.
Finally got to watch the shows that i had to record while i was gone and i am very upset ...lol didnt think that Emmett Smith should have won the dancing with the stars show, and sure didnt think that Marty should have been voted off. but wow did you see how he looks now .that is amazing.
Had a great trip with my sister to St. Louis we laughed and giggled all the way there and back. It rained on us all the way up on Wednesday and there was a prediction of snow up there for Wednesday night but it didnt happen. We went to a support meeting on Wednesday night and then thursday she had to go to a nut. consult and then to a seminar of this doctors. But Thursday morning we went shopping . Found some great stuff. I found me an outfit to wear to my granddaughters wedding the last day of December . I bought a size 12/14 i can get into it but is a little snug in places. I am hoping that by then i will have lost at least another 10 pounds so it will fit just right. I have been losing about 12 pounds a month so with 6 weeks left i should lose enough.
I cant believe a size 12/14 it is just almost more than my poor little mind can comprehend.
I and my sister may do a drive around Missouri this coming spring. just start driving and go to towns that all of you live in and visit you. If you want to be included in the visits. let me know the towns. I bought a huge big Missouri map and am going to put push pins in where everyone lives. then we will plan our route from that. If there are several in one area we will just all meet at a park or something and have a picnic all day.
Oh forgot to say that at the support meeting on Wednesday night i got to meet Betty . A really good friend of Pixielfs. She posts on the Missouri board sometimes , not nearly often enought.
So Miss Betty come out , come out where ever you are. There were a lot of people there but as far as i know none of them post on here. Wish they would.
Marilyn and Patty. Good luck tomorrow. God is with you both and know that we will be praying for you.
Melissa, everyone continue to pray that she gets to come home on Monday and that she will get strong and healthy.
Craig: How are you doing.Havent heard from you in a while. How is the bronchitis? i hope it is finally getting out of your system.
Sherr: how are you? Are you getting your feet under you from your surgery?
It takes a little while doesnt it?
Marilyn B: did you pick out the bike you want? We use to have a Honda Gold Wing until my husband was injured and couldnt handle it. We would like to have another one but same still holds true but we are thinking about a trike. Not quite the same but close.
Claudette: i wanted to thank you so very very much. You did an excellent job. Everyone says so. and I agree. Thanks so very much.
Debbie: you will decide for yourself what can be and will be done as far as whether the rny or lap band but dont understand why your doctor says he cant operate on your back if you have rny? LOL that would be great about the majic pills but that may be possible some years down the road. I have several discs in my back that are messed up but noone said anything about not having the rny for any reason. Any way like i said you will decide what is best for you. cant wait for you to be better and when enough weight if off the body the back doesnt hurt quite as bad.
Andrew: so glad you are feeling good since your surgery. Yeah i am really glad that Dr. Hornbostel doesnt use the drains. Dont know why some doctors do and some dont but sure glad that Dr. H. doesnt arent you?
Alan: Hope you are feeling better real soon. Does Dr. Hodges say why he uses the drain on his patients? sure glad i didnt have one. You two guys will be looking pretty buff once you can get back to the gymn.
wont it be neat?
Lana: so so happy for you about your surgery ...that is fantastic. I cant believe you are getting your surgery so fast too. We are hoping that Sugars will be quick too. Yours is Dec, the 28? is that what i read? all the work you have done will pay off for you in a quick turn around since you are stronger and healther than you were.
Colette: Hi there woman. How you doing? Boy i bet your poor mother really got confused when she was upset at you and your sister Claudette when you all were little. lol
Im really going to get this posted early so Claudette will know i am home.lol
So very grateful that she did go ahead and do the one for Saturday since i didnt land on my feet till about noon Saturday.
Hubby made me two new flower beds while i was gone. so they are ready to go with some new flowers this spring. He also finished up a pathway that he had started before i left.
I have 10 new flowering trees from Arbor foundation to get planted in the next day or so. They are small but if you water them often all winter and then about every other day in this first summer they will grow like crazy. they are all fast growers. I have some that i planted last winter that are already about 15 feet tall. So if you ordered those dont fret about how tiny they are they really will grow well if you water, a lot. lol
God is such a miracle worker isnt he? I think that is why i love gardening so very much, I plant a seed and sit back and watch the miracle that God inserted into the gene of that seed at the beginning of his creation. Can you imagine that a God that would love us so much that he gave us such beauty to enjoy. What a loving and caring Father, to not only give us what we need but to give us such beauty to enjoy too. The flowers, the pretty colors of fall, the fresh blush of spring, the white pureity of a fresh snow. The colors of nature is more beautiful than anything man could ever dream of making. and God breathe that stuff into being with a touch and a thought.
Thank you Lord
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS.
JAN
Momma Jan,
How are you Lady-o...glad you made it back safe to us. Sounds like you had a blast. Thank you for also getting a calm response on Melissa, I am getting everything thru Janet C. and she is an emotional wreck. We made a plan that Janet would talk to Mel/Terry & I'd keep you guys updated once Janet called me with info.....
SO, I get stuff 2nd and 3rd hand. Yes, hard to believe but we've got 2 more coming to the luser's bench! WOOT WOOT...
Janet goes up Tuesday for Pre-Op and has her surgery on 11/29
I wanted to tell you Momma J, just like you said it would, I can drink Crystal Lite again, WOOT WOOT....thank god, because most everything else is till yucky, food included.
I am now at 219 today, which of course is still huge, but I started out at 278 so I don't think 219 is too shabby. LOL
Hey Jan;
Glad your back safe and sound! Please put my little town of Freeman on your agenda. We are about 8 miles straight west of Harrisonville, Mo. on State highway 2. Would love to visit and I am still planing on meeting with you all on the 19th of Dec. Just let me know what time and where. Hugs!
Just barely "Good Morning" from me as it is almost noon.
Jan - I have decided on a Kawasaki Vulcan Classic LT. I will wait until Spring though and save up some more money hopefully. My husband just bought the same bike a few months ago but not with the LT package which basically adds the sissy bar and saddle bags. I figure someone needs to carry the water along so I need the saddle bags.
How wonderful of your husband to complete some more beds while you were gone. I agree the miracles that come from tiny seeds are wonderful to watch unfold. Seeds of love, seeds of faith, and yes even natures seed that bring forth the wonderful beauty to excite our senses of sight and smell. Your gardens and grounds sound beautiful. I've often thought as you write about how you've been busy with your green house and gardens that God has blessed you with a special talent for caring for His creation. It has also blessed you back by giving you an outlet to exercise and work out-of-doors! GOD IS GOOD - ALL THE TIME!!
Marilyn B.

No Jan...I know my Dr can operate on my back with me having RNY, it was the tube down the throat that I was worried about...lol
Marilyn....my nice ride that I was referring to is my 2005 Grand Prix...lol The Harley is his, a 2002 Super Dyna Glide and I ride on the back. I could drive it but I choose to be behind my hubby on it. I do have my eye on a Harley Heritage Softtail Factory Custom Chopper with a metal-flake Black Cherry finish...a VERY nice ride
Andrew, we will catch up sooner or later if it's meant to be...lol Besides, we have already met....at the seminar...Marilyn too, remember?? lol
Well, I off to Wally World, hubbys being a grump, he needs to be alone for awhile, I think. I think he's just in a lot of pain with his feet and legs. I noticed today that his feet have little red specks all over them...like tiny broken blood vessels or like they got choked off. They look like little freckles but I know it's blood. I will be on the phone with his Dr when I get home tomorrow. I wonder what could be causing that.
Love & Prayers, Deb M

Holy cow! I've been so wrapped up in my own stressful life that I haven't been to this board in quite some time. I had to go back a few pages just to read the story line on Melissa. I really hope that she is improving and can go home soon!
We've now had two IUI cycles that have failed, and we're just beginning cycle three. Hopefully we will have baby news by Christmas. Our daughter has e-coli in her urine, and while it is common, it can be dangerous. Also, though she's only 8, she is filled with so much anger that she is now saying she wants to kill herself. I know that when she says it, it's when she's angry and doesn't know what else to say or do. She starts seeing a therapist in December. Work is quite stressful...2nd quarter is the worst of the school year, I think! The kids are burned out, and the teachers are trying to cram in too much information before MAP testing in the spring. I think we're all going nuts! The scale isn't moving anymore, but that's my own doing. With everything else going on, healthy eating and exercise haven't been a priority.
On a positive note, I finished painting my living room. We've finally gotten a handle on our debt. DH has petitioned to legally adopt our daughter (not his biological) and have her last name changed. And the holidays are here. It's not ALL bad!
I will keep Melissa in my thoughts...

Jan:
It was great to meet you. Don't know if I told you at the support group meeting that the Doctor that did the presentation was my surgeon that did my large volume liposuction. Also forgot to tell you that as of that day; I have lost a total of 30 1/2 inches from the procedure and that was just from my upper trunk and arms....absolutely unbelievable.
I am house sitting this meeting and the only place there is a computer here is down in their office in the basement; so because it is just like a basement cold and damp; I'm not down here much but I will try to post a little more often.
It was great to meet you Wednesday night and your sister too. Does your sister have a surgery date yet?
