Please keep the prayers going!

We haven't heard anything about melissa yet and I'm praying that, thats a good thing! I'm sure you all know to keep praying until we find out how Melissa is but I just wanted to keep her held up! We all know all the tricks Satan can play and we aren't going to allow that to happen here! You all have sent up wonderful prayers...please keep em going! I am happy that Alan and Andrew are doing well! We need to be praying for Barb S. tomorrow and Marilyn on Monday! They both will be joining everyone on the LOSERS BENCH!! I just care and want people to know I do! I have a question for everyone. I have my shrink appt. on Monday! That should be the last of my hurdles until the pre-op. Should I call Dena tomorrow and let her know so she could maybe put a fire under the hospital about getting me a date or should I just wait until after they get the shrink's report and call me? Debbie, I think I would wait till after the psyche test. Then the office will have it all and if everything is in order they will call you with the date. I did not have to take that test a year ago. Colete

Hi everyone. I went over to the university and seen melissa today. She is still in ICU, as of 1pm today. Her hubby was there. And he said that she is having a better day than yesterday. And they are working on getting the tube out of her throat. She was alert. And I held her hand. And told everyone loves her and to get better. He also said they will probably not put the mesh in for about 4 months. Melissa held her hand up specifying 4 months, lol. She looked miserable. But who wouldn't be with a d-mn tube down your throat, huh? Just wanted to let you all know. Love you guys, patty

Deb, I had my Psych appointment on Wednesday and saw Dr. Hodges and asked them right then to give me a surgery date. I still have to do the NUT and Exercise Psyiology but they gave me my date at that time. Of course, Katie, the Psyche, works out of their office so they know about her finding right away. She said I was a perfect candidate for surgery, knew what I was getting into and all. It's all because of all you folks who so kindly share information on this board so thank you very much. To let everyone know, Mel had a heartattack after her surgery on Monday, and that is why she crashed.... She has the central line in and required 16 pints of blood during transfusions. She can only bear to eat ice chips. NO FOOD. She said she would be in the hostpital at least another week. AT LEAST..... The ICU nurse even shared with her that she honestly had not thought she'd see Mel come back from the 2nd crash she had...which just makes me ball my eyes out. This ICE Nurse has been very gentle and taking great care of her, and did not say it to make Mel angry or sad, she was just being honest... She has tubes through her nose down into her stomach.... She is out of Critical Care, but she is NOT out of the woods. Please continue to lift her up.
