good morning Claudette, Thank you for doing this in absence of Jan. I do wish I could come to your support group meeting but the distance is too far. I talk to all the people from that way. Someday maybe we will do an overnite and come and visit. Prayers continue for Melissa and the new ones having surgery on Monday. (I think Marilyn and Patricia). I am on my way to work so just stopped in for a quick visit. Welcome home to Alan, and also Andrew. It is so neat to get to know these folks. Good Morning All: Going in late to work today so I have a chance to post early. Usually I'm reading at 11 pm and it is only a few hours until Jan posts the next day so I usually just read. I am so thrilled that Alan and Andrew came through with flying colors. It will be encouraging to hear about how the pounds melt off in the days to come! Continuing in my prayers for Melissa - it will be a relief when they can move her from ICU. Barb S - we will be praying for you today as you begin you journey to the loser's bench! Hey hey Missouri!!! Claudette your such a trooper for doing Jans posts while she's gone Thanks for all the support you've given me also!! Im doing really well. I havnt taken any pain meds but one time, that was the night we got home (Wednsday Night) I was sore from the long long ride, other then that I havnt really had any pain, just a bit of discomfort and today the discomfort is alot better. I got out yesturday and walked down to the end of my drive and back twice, thats about 100ft down to the mailbox, and when my dogs needed to go out I also walked around our deck a couple times, it's 12x12, it really helped just to step outside every couple hours. Im still doing my breathing excersises a few times a day and of course sip sip sip sip. I even had a popcycle real slow last night, SF Banana, it was a nice treat. I just can't believe how well I am feeling, it's so amazing. My sugar is staying steady around 100 - 120 so far yay!!! I do get tired pretty easy tho, yesturday it seemed I still had wooblie legs a bit, today they are better. Im gonna try and walk a bit further today. Colette Im sippin and sippin lol cant seem to get all I need to get down but I'm sure it'll get better each day. I'm like you I wish I could get to the Support group up there. One day we're gonna do an overnight trip and attend tho, we'd love to meet the bunch of ya there!! Well Im gonna go get my day going a bit. We're still praying for Melissa. Good morning Claudette and Mo Board, Claudette I know what you mean about your sides hurting from all the laughter last night. I had a wonderful time. You girls are crrraaazzzy! Of course, I mean that in the nicest of ways. tee hee I love each of you and am blessed by your friendships. I could have stayed and talked for hours, but it was getting late. Still thinking so much about Melissa. Isn't it amazing how close we can feel to people we haven't even met yet. I join in prayer with the rest of you till she gets through this. We know those prayers are being heard. So glad Alan and Andrew are doing so good. When I hear them talk about how they are feeling and all the sipping, and walking etc.....sure brings back memories for us that have been post-op awhile. I'm off for a Wal-Mart run.
