FIRST FOLLOW UP !!

Hello all my Dear Friends: Well I went to the Dr. this morning it was 2 days early because the fear of possible infection setting in. And I was right. I am on antibotics, but the Dr. thinks it will be just fine, caught in plenty of time. The staples were all removed and steri strips placed on, I have lost an additional 13 pounds since my surgery day Nov. 2nd. I felt like I may have lost more. Guess I still have alot of swelling I know I do in the stomach area. Other than that I am doing great. I have read the forum for today. Alot going on I see. Just know my prayers are with everyone. what sort of infrection do you have Tressia? in the wound or otherwise? will pray for your healing. and 13 pounds is great in such a short time you know. Jan

The infection is from the wound area, it is getting red inflammed and I had been running fever. It didn't get bad enough yet for a drainage tube, fortunately my hubby was a medic and new all the signs and made me call the doc. and they had me come in early. They went ahead and took out the staples and put on the steri strips. I am doing fine now, I am on the antibotics and am sure they will do the job. thanks for your concern Jan.
