5 days post-op

I am home and feeling better. I had lap-band Wednesday. I did have to stay in the hospital overnight but I will be the first to admit I am not big on pain tolerance. Basically slept for three days after that. Today I started feeling hungry so I think waiting 5-6 weeks for a fill will be tough..but I'm ready! Have been having lots of back pain and shoulder pain, I read this is from the gas they fill you with. Am almost out of my pain killer but I point out again- LOW PAIN tolerance. LOL Spent about 2 hours today reading the boards because I have also been somewhat depressed today and not sure why. I think it is funny to get exactly what I have been wanting and now am sad. Anyone else experience this?

congradulations on your getting the lap band surgery. I cant help you any with the depression problem but will pray that the feeling lifts and your sprits will be on track again. Jan

I read in the book I bought and the Drs seminar, that there might come a time when we would say "what have I done" but it passes, just hang in there, I havent had my surgery yet but I have thought what to do when I get there, the hollidays are coming up just get in the spirit of it and keep your mind busy...they said it would pass soon...praying for you....vesta
