First step of my journey s tomorrow

Well tomorrow I will be going to Tulsa for Dr. Gorospe's seminar. From that seminar list they will call the next week or so to set up my consultation. Needless to say I am pretty freakin' excited !! It's been such a long long battle. I hope the wait isn't too long as I am anxious to start my new life. I will still be fighting to get the bill passed that would mandate coverage for treatment of obesity. It still amazes me that the country has recognized that obesity is an epedemic but that most states allow insurance companies to refuse treatment coverage. It is still ok to discriminate against the obese. We must fight . There are so many still unable to have surgery simply because of the exclusions. I will let everyone know when the hearing is and the bill number when it is filed so that we can start emailing ,writing and calling our senators!! We will be heard !! Thanks for everyone's support! Dannielle I am so proud and happy for you. Have a safe trip to Tulsa and back. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted on how your doing. We need to get together and see about going to the meeting in Springfield on the 27th of this month. Take Care Melissa
