Missouri Board, It's time for Checkpoint #1 of the November 50 Mile Challenge! WE'VE ONLY HEARD FROM TWO CONFIRMED PARTICIPANTS! COME ON MISSOURI BOARD - THIS IS THE SHO-ME STATE! DON'T BE SHY - LET'S HEAR WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO GET UP, GET OUT, GET MOVING!!!!! Remember, it's never too late to begin the challenge or too late to make a commitment to a regular exercise program. Regular exercise in addition to proper nutrition is the BEST way to maximize your weight loss and maintain a healthy weight once you reach goal. So how have you done since the beginning of the month? Below is the information for walking/running/biking etc: Last Month Total Miles: Miles Through November 5th (Checkpoint #1): Total Miles (November): Personal Monthly Goal: Percent of Month Elapsed: Percent of 50 Mile Goal Achieved: Percent of Personal Goal Achieved: Also remember - we do not discriminate with your choice of fitness. So walk, run, bike, swim, stationary bike, eliptical, treadmill, etc, etc. What's important here is that we make a commitment to fitness and stick to it. Just remember to keep track so you can establish a baseline and measure your progress. Let's hear it Missouri Board....how did you do???? There is an excel spreadsheet that I've made up that many on the other boards are using to track their progress. If you'd like a copy of this spreadsheet, please send me an email address and I will gladly forward it to you! Cards Fan Springfield, MO STEP OFF THE SIDELINES AND GET IN THE GAME!

I got 18 miles in. Not as good as I would have like, but it is better than before. Kathleen

Kathleen, 18 miles is a terrific start to the month...at this pace you're on-track to exceed 70+ miles for the month. Take each day, each workout at a time. Just make sure you set a goal and break it down so you know what you've got to accomplish each week. Thanks for participating! We need more folks out there getting involved! Exercise is absolutely critical to long term success and we don't see enough on the boards as to what people are doing from a fitness standpoint - discussion centers mostly on life in general and sometimes on nutrition but that's limited. We need more focus on all aspects of this "journey" on this board....it's a piece we're sorely missing. Thanks again and look forward to hearing from you next week! Happy Walking! Cards Fan

Well you can count me in the walking. Im walking about 1/2 a day right now but hopefully soon that will increase as I have my surgery this next tuesday Nov. 14. I can't wait to really get into walking. Also I'd sure like a copy of that spread sheet if possible, [email protected] is my email addy. Thanks so much, Andrew
