Good Morning Everyone: It looks like everyone was out and about yesterday. There wasnt hardley anyone on the boards at all. Which I understand weekends usually mean family time. I hope you all had a good weekend. But now it's Monday and back to the grind stone. And before you know it. Friday will be here once again. Didnt do awhole lot yesterday it dawned on me that a week from yesterday I will be headed to Columbia, MO for surgery. Where did the time go?? I can remember when I went up for my consult and how disappointed I was that it was put off for 3 months. But now it is litterly around the cornor. Just putting my worry in the Lord's hands. Have a busy week planned to hopefully keep my mind off of it. Dannielle: CONGRATS!!! I am so very happy for you. Before you know it you will be on the losers bench also. Cant wait to dust off a spot for you!!! Everyone have a gret day. Pass around a smile it is contagious!! God Bless Melissa A lesson here that many never get! Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening, but then she looked at the envelope again. There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter: Dear Ruth: I`m going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit. Love Always, Jesus Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. Why would the Lord want to visit me? I'm nobody special. I don't have anything to offer." With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets. "Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner." She reached for her purse and counted out its contents. Five dollars and forty cents. Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least." She threw on her coat and hurried out the door. A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk...leaving Ruth with grand total twelve cents to last her until Monday. Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm. "Hey lady, can you help us,lady?" Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn't even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway. A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags. "Look lady, I ain't got a job, ya know, and my wife and I have been living out here on the street, and, well, now it's getting cold and we're getting kinda hungry and, well, if you could help us. Lady, we'd really appreciate it." Ruth looked at them both. They were dirty, they smelled bad and frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to. "Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself. All I have is a few cold cuts and some bread, and I'm having an important guest for dinner tonight and I was planning on serving that to Him." "Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway." The man put his arm around the woman's shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley. As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart. "Sir, wait!" The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them. "Look, why don't you take this food. I'll figure out something else to serve my guest." She handed the man her grocery bag. "Thank you lady. Thank you very much!" "Yes, thank you!" It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that she was shivering. "You know, I've got another coat at home. Here, why don't you take this one." Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders. Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her coat and with nothing to serve her guest. "Thank you lady! Thank you very much!" Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door, and worried too. The Lord was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him. She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox. "That's odd. The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day." Dear Ruth: It was so good to see you again. Thank you for the lovely meal. And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat. Love Always, Jesus The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed. If you love Jesus, share this with other people. Do not keep this message

Hello room.... Had a busy and full weekend, went thru all the stuff in my workshop (storage) and found my Holiday decoratins... I could only find 2 of my 3 Xmas trees, and drug in a bunch of ornaments..... Went to plug up my really nice fiber optic tree, and the hallogen is DEAD in it... But, I have a 3/4 tree...it's made specifically for use in a corner...I LOVE IT....I put it in my formal dining room, and it's decorated with Silver, White and Chambray Denim colors.... It's sooooo nice.... Now, to repair my fiber optic one...it will be MAGENTA PINK, Gold and Crystal colors....it is going right in front of the main enterance... And when I find my last one, it's going to be in the Den with traditional type ornaments, reds, navys, santas etc..... I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR.... I am down to 227 today. WOOT WOOT.... S 278/227/170

Good Day To All, Melissa thanks for saying hey to me even when I'm not on board! Your just to sweet!!!!!! I had a great day yesterday at church and then in service again last night, I always enjoy being in the Lord's house. Melissa I liked the story, I would like to use it in our church bulletin, if that's OK? It has been raining here all day, I don't know if I will get my walk in or not. Congrats Dannielle, and good luck to all the up-coming surgery people! Everybody take care and have a great day! Brenda

I all. I have decided to join in all of this fun and the daily posts. I don't normally because I don't have much to say, but today is different. Yesterday was my 23rd wedding anniversary and today is my birthday. I think everyone has forgotten except my parents and best friend. No acknowledgement from my husband or children and sister, those that are closest to me. I usually prepare snacks for those at work on their birthday so no one pays any attention to those things. So, why does it bother me? I need a dose of happiness on this dreary day. ~Diana~

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary! How awesome to be able to celebrate 23 years together. We just celebrated our 12th in Sept and that seems amazing. My birthday is this month too, one week after my surgery. This will certainly be a "different" birthday for me...lol. HUGS...hope your day got better. And Congratulations on your anniversary Barb S

OH Diana, I know you had to be sad, but please know that you can come here, for love and support. My own family did not come to the hospital at all during my surgery and it made me really sad...but, the loving people here, prayed for me, lifted me up, and I even had Mel Mel (Melissa) as my angel and she checked on me every day.... Thank goodness you have your parents and best friend....My thoughts on all the men I know is that they always "Forget" everything that takes an effort... NOW, I don't mean everyones hubby on here, because to have a man that went thu the whole WLS journey with you speaks volumes but I have been alone my whole life except for a brief and bad marriage in my early 20s, My dad always forgets mom...I ride his behind like a used bike tho, and he at least will pony up a big wad of cash... Come here and vent, we'll "Leave the light on for ya!" Sherr
