Saturdays What's Happening???

Good Morning Everyone: Yes, I know I am not Jan but she called me on Friday and said her computer crashed. And asked me if I would do her What's Happening until her computer was up and running again. So I thought I would post before I crawled into bed. To get a jump start on the day. DH & I went to my F-I-L's house and mowed his yard yesterday. Got him all shaved and cleaned up and took him to his Doctors appt. Found out he has C.O.P.D. and sugar problems. So we talked with him about DH & I moving in with him to help him out. We will proabley be moving into his house around the first of the year if not sooner. Please keep him in your prayers. Alot of things are hitting him all at once. He is the one that just lost his drivers licenses this week and now all of this. Antonio: Welcome Back. You have been missed on the board while you was gone. Marilyn B: Trust me time will fly before you know it your date will be just around the cornor!! Andrew: How did your test go?? Did they keep you busy taken order for the Angel Ministries?? Barbara T: How is your husband doing?? I know what you mean about looking at myself and still seeing the same person before surgery. But trust me your not the same person. Alan: How do you like that protein shakes?? I usually get the Vanilla Ice Cream and add the DaVinci SF syrup to it. My favorite is the Egg Nog. Totally Yummy!!!! Huera: Are you counting down the days now??? Sherr: How is your head feeling??? Dont be going and getting sick now you hear me??? Kim: How are you feeling sweetie??? I know those falls sure can hurt more 2 and 3 days later then when they first happen. Take care of yourself. Lana: I am hoping that I will be able to come to the meeting on the 27th also. Just depends on when I get out of the hospital from surgery. I cant wait to see everyone again. And so excited about the new meetings. Tamara: I just love the of you and DH having a date night. That is so great!!! Elizabeth: Welcome to the Missouri Board (Family) Please feel free to post anytime. We (expecially Momma Jan) just love to see new members posting. Brenda: How are you doing sweeite?? Linda S: I havent seen you posting in awhile. I hope everything is okay with you. Dannielle: Where are you at girl??? Come out from hiding!!! Good morning Melissa and the rest of Missouri.... I am off to work today for some overtime....We have alot of shots to give to the trainees.....If some of you don't know I am a nurse and work at Fort Leonard Wood...It has been a very busy week...We have had two different groups of soldiers come home from Iraq this week and tomorrow one of the groups has a husband of one of my co-workers in it so my two children and I and possibly my husband are going to welcome him home.....Hope everyone has a blessed day and I will post some more once I get home.... Good morning everyone, Sorry to hear about Jan's computer. One feels lost when it crashes. I am writing early as we are off to Pennsylvania for a death in the family. This death was totally unexpected 6 weeks ago(that is when our sister in law even knew she was sick of bone cancer. So I will be absent for a while. busy getting everything in order to leave. Sorry to hear of you F-I-L problems Melissa. I deal with the old folks at work all the time and it is so sad when they lose their independence. Will you just close your house or move everything. Well, everyones surgeries are coming closer. Time does fly fast. I can hardly believe it is almost a year since I had my surgery. In Fact you will be having your surgery and Andrew on my anniversary. By the way, I will keep all of you in my prayers even if I am absent from here. I will be back in about 5 days so I will be in time to see Andrew at the hospital. Good morning Melissa Just a quick hello this morning to you and the Board, sorry to hear about Jan's computer. My prayers today is that everyone will had a blessed and wonderful day. My husband is getting better thank you for asking and praying for him. Colette: Sorry to hear of your family's loss and just know we will be keeping you and your family before the Lord in prayer. Praying for comfort in this time of bereavement. Well off to get my day started this week has been very tiring and have I ever got the exercise "whew" but I love taking care of my DH for a change, it's usually me who is sick, I'll know when he's completely well because Melissa he's a jokester too and he hasn't crack one yet, but he's coming alone. Hello Missouri!!! Just a quick check in to say hope everyone has a great weekend. Still having lots of joint pain but Drs are working on it. Have a rheumatologist appointment the first of the week. I have many errands to do today and it is rainy and that makes the old joints creak louder but gotta keep on keepin on. Starting to think about Thanksgiving and DD and DGS being here. Told her yesterday that them moving closer was not supposed to make me miss her more but somehow I do. When they were in Michigan I knew it was too far to drive and see them but now that it's only four hours I feel like I could just run up there for a day. Except, gas is too high and I haven't felt that well lately. But it's less than three weeks til they'll be down here so I can count that off. I won't be at the New Beginnings this month but will be at Circle of Friends. Hope to see you. Love and hugs, Lana

Good Morning Ya'll, Colette Im so sorry to hear about the death in your family, we will keep you and your family in our prayers and be praying for safe trip up and back, I know thats not an easy drive up to PA. I can't believe how the time has flown by myself, here I was trying to push the time along a couple months ago and now I cant see where it went lol. Melissa your such a sweetie to post for Jan while her puter is on vacation. I sure hope she is able to get it fixed soon, I know how it is when your used to being able to get online and communicate to people and then all of a sudden your not, I went through withdrawls when I didnt have the net a few days LoL Today is when I get my crazy eval. She's suppose to be here at 11:30am so hopefully that will go ok, then Tuesday I'm off real early to Sedalia for my Pre-Op appointment, it was for monday but they changed it at the last min to Tuesday at 9am. Well I better get off here and start getting things ready, sure hope everyone has a good weekend. Andrew

Good Morning Melissa and Missouri Board, I know I don't get on here everyday, but I do read all the posts. I have DDD in my spine and it hurts everyday and I can usually tolerate it but, sometimes it gets really bad and the pain isn't easy do deal with. The last couple of days have been pretty bad. I woke up this morning and didn't know if I was going to be able to get out of bed. On these kind of days I just have to take it easy and not do much. I do pray everyone has a wonderful day. My POOR MISSOURI WLS FAMILY: I feel quite helpless, and sad for those of you going thru trying times..... Mel Mel, could your FIL come live with you? Are you attached to your house? I did have to leave my home of over 10+ last fall, and I have to tell you....it just about killed me... I know it sounds bratty, but while my friends were all out living life to it's fullest, dating, marrying, etc....I was a work-a-holic, and only had my beautiful home to show for all my hard work and time away from loved ones.... To have to sell it and leave my familiar surroundings made me want to die. AND LOOK AT ME KNOW....a year later...what a difference..... I am 5 weeks post op (& 1 Day) and I am at 230!!! I measured for the week, and am down SIX MORE INCHES...that's a total of 36.5 inches I believe... I have felt very poorly the last 2 weeks, due to flu, tonsilitus, PMS (sorry boyz) TOM, ((double sorry))) lol....and the degenerative arthritis is HURTING SOOOO BAD.... Now tell me if this is weird...the tops of my thighs ((( I know, weird spot))) just kill me all day, and worsen at night.... THANK GOD FOR MY ELECTRIC BLANKET, TYLENOL, MY PUPPIES and YOU GUYS...... My carrot cake that I posted is VERY tasty, and probably my best "HEALTHFUL" success story yet, so if you love carrot cake, this turns out BEAUTIFULLY, and would be fantastic for Thanksgiving or the Holiday season for your family!! For breakfast this morning, I am eating grilled shrimp and lettuce salad with low fat cheese shreds and Oriental Dressing....YES, I know...Bizzare...BUT you guys know me, and ya know I am weird anyway...lol XOXO S
