THURSDAY WHATS HAPPENING

It is 29 here this morning. What is the temp on your back porch? That is cold isn't it? And suppose to be colder tonight. The Ups Bus came yesterday and brought my channel for the green house so my brother is coming down this morning to help us fini**** up. Joe and I put in all the electrical yesterday now to just get someone to hook it to the big meter box on the pole. Im afraid to do that lol. Not ready to be fried. Our tags were due on our truck by the end of Oct and we totally forgot that so while they are working on the green house I will go to Forsyth and get inspection on the truck and get the new stickers for the lic. Plates. Also I have a beauty shop appointment to get beautified today lol Don't think there is much help in that dept. but will try once again. I have an unflagging determination to one day find the perfect haircut that will make me look beautiful lol Andrew: I have sent you an email with my cell phone number in it. I will love to be your Angel. Thank you very much for asking me . I consider it a great honor. When do you have your crazy test ? This Saturday? It isn't very long now till surgery date. Just rely on the Lord and he will take you thru all of it. I know you are a man of great faith so that part should be really easy for you. That is wonderful that one of your brothers will be with you during surgery. It is wonderful to have family that loves you. And your extended family loves you too. Did you get your motel room secured now for surgery and for Susan's stay while you are in the hospital? Be sure and take your favorite pillow for the hospital and you will need a couple for the ride home to cushion . Chap stick too is important. Other than that the only other thing that I can think of is your Bible. Debbie M: So sorry that David is having problems with his feet , That can really hurt .Since they take the weight of your whole body there is no way to do much of anything without pain . Tell him we are praying for healing . The talk with David is so important. Joe had the same feelings that I would go looking for someone else too. I think I have finally convinced him that I have no desire to look elsewhere. I am in love with him , always have been and it hasn't change or lessened ,if anything I love him more than ever for sticking by me when I was so fat that I couldn't do anything for myself, couldn't clean house, couldn't walk or anything else. Which yesterday by the way I swept all my floors and then mopped my own kitchen something I havent been able to do in years. Yea! I think a lot of spouses think something to the same effect. So David isn't alone in his thinking. You still need him just as much as before , will be in a different way once you are smaller but will still need him as much as ever. Pray that your marriage grows stronger and stronger each day. Barbara: so thankful that your hubby is getting better. Sometimes after surgery , and the reason is really unknown, because there was a catheter there during surgery when it is removed there will be swelling and causes the problems you describe. Is the teaching him to cauterize himself for in case or will he have to be doing this all the time. Your husband sounds a lot like mine, selfless , sweet and so caring that I sometimes feel so undeserving of his love and concern for me. He tries to live up to the commands of God that husbands love your wives as Christ loved the Church and he comes really close to that. Wow on going down from a 32 to a 24. Good going girl. You are going to be a sexy mamma before long . Wish your appointment with Dr. H was on the 19th would love to see you again. Melissa: well did the father in law pass the driving test? I know it is going to be a challenge no matter what. The pot of soup sounds wonderful . I am getting ready today to make a big pot of butternut squash soup. I still do better on soups than anything. Last week I made some homemade potato soup and it was sooooooo good. I will keep you in my prayers that you will be able to get off all shots and only be on pills and one day you wont have to have even them. Are you going to try and come to any of the support meetings this month. It seems like forever since I have seen you. What day is it you have hernia surgery ? I promise I will write it this time on the calendar. Lol Sherr: wonderful on the weight loss and also on the no more diabetes. Wonderful that is the best news yet more so than the weight loss really , that means you are getting back to being healthy . That sounds like fun to be in a brochure with the Doctor . Yeah the taste will come back soon . Mine is just now coming back a little at a time. And I will soon be 3 months out. Craig : good to see you are back on here. Did you get your dsl for the computer? You take care of yourself and get over this latest round of crud. Probably when you do get the trach out you wont have near as many infections hopefully. We are still praying that that will happen in the near future. Sure wish I could see you in person your picture you look so handsome. Way to go buddy. Rachael: So you are suppose to be on folic acid if you are taking B-12 injections? I wondered as I am giving myself injections once a month and I am not taking folic acid. Hope the new meds work well for you . I looked that up and it is used for fibromyalgia. Is that what he thinks you have? I know it can make you hurt really bad. How did you like the show Biggest loser last night. Im not sure that I like the idea of them bringing in new ones next week. Im still pulling for Marty of course. Lana: lol so glad that you are alive and kicking sorry you are still having joint pain. Are you on medication for arthritis? That is the only thing that I hate about the surgery is that the only thing we can take now for the pain is x-Tylenol. But thank God for some reason it now works . It didn't before surgery but now does. Must be something to do with the absorption Thing. Brenda : that sounds like a winner on the time. That way we can all meet and not have to any of us be late since it gets dark so dang blasted early now. And since the appointments don't take that long we will have plenty of time to visit after your appointment and before mine. Now if Andrew can get an appointment maybe earlier than yours or after mine lol. Are you in touch with Linda? I never hear from her anymore? I know she is working but sure wish she would stop in and say hi once in a while. Hey that elect blanket sounds great. Lol Marilyn : the green house is 10X 14 plenty big enough for me to plant all I want and still have room to move around in it. You don't have long to go now till surgery. Yea for you. You and Andrew are just about a week apart Colette: so sorry to hear about your sister in law. That is so sad that she now has bone cancer. And sad that he will have to go into the nursing home for care there now. Will pray for both of them and their family and also for your trip . Take care of yourself. You have been working an awfully lot lately need to rest some once in awhile. All of this stress isn't good for a person. Everyone remember Kelli and Tressia both today as they will both be in surgery today. If you havent already go to their profile pages and send them a note of encouragement. I know those were so wonderful to read after my surgery. To know that you are missed and loved is a nice thing. We have lot of new November babies this month. Anyone that has surgery this month let me know so we can be praying for you . I know we have Kelli and Tressia today then we have Andrew and Alan on the 14th and Marilyn on the 20th Anyone else? Did any of you see that beautiful moon last night? I love it when there is a full moon and it is clear out. LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS. JAN

It 29 here in Warrensburg too. BRRR - so glad that I can walk inside on the treadmill! Well I'm just in a holding pattern until the Nov 29th when I meet with Dr. Hornbostel. I have fully recovered from my gallbladder surgery and I ready to under again for the RNY. Waiting is the hardest part - seems like someone said that before. I'll be praying for Kelli today. Hope everyone has a blessed day! Stay warm, Marilyn

Good Morning Jan and Entire Board; Just wanted to help you understand the pain med question. The reason for not being allowed anything except Tylenol is not absorption but for prevention of ulcers. The other pain meds can cause ulcers. I have began using the new Tylenol Go Tabs. I had a headache for two days and took one Tab and the headache was gone in just a few minutes. No waiting for the tablet or cap to desolve. Hope this helps. By the way if the weather is really good on December I will try to make the trip to Sedalia to meet with you all. I would love to set a talk for a while. God willing I will be there. Keep me informed please on your plans to meet. Hugs! RNY 4/22/2003 Loss of 130lbs!!!

Bbbbrrrrrr it's 27 here this morning, quite COLD out!! Im sittin here at my desk drinking a cup of SF Hot Cocoa. The sun is shining bright tho so hopefully it'll warm up a bit. Woot Woot Jan thank ya so much, I almost forgot to ask about an angel lol I better not be forgetting stuff on saturday when I get my crazy test lol. I might have to pay her extra just to give me a good report LoL No I dont have a room secured yet, we're still working on it. We'll for sure stay in a motel monday night since having to be at the hospital so early on the 14th but the other nights for Susan we're not sure yet. I have a cousin that lives just outside of KC thats offered to let Susan stay with her, it's an 80mile drive tho so we'll see. Jan I think Melissa's hernia surgery is the same day as my surgery on Nov. 14, it's gonna be a really busy day with Alan, Melissa and Myself having surgery lol. I think thats the day she's having it done. Wow looks like there's gonna be a few peeps coming into Sedalia if things work out for Dec. 19th, thats really gggrrreeeaaatttt. I sure hope it works out that I can be there too, I'll get on my knee's and beg whoever makes the appointments LoL hopefully by that time I'll be able to get back up I couldnt believe it yesturday I came across a guy from Pilot Knob, MO here having surgery on Nov. 10th with Dr. Hornbostel. Roger H. I've sent him a messege so we'll see if he gets it or checks his messeges, what a small small world. Marilyn B hang in there, yeah the waiting seems to be the hardest part but if ya keep yourself busy and try not to think about it every min the time will fly. I recived my date around Aug 15th and I thought Dear Lord thats forever but it's here already, I just can't believe it lol Well Im gonna go get myself busy for the day. Not much going on here, I want to go get the oil changed in my car since we have to make 3 trips to Sedalia this month, 4 hrs or so one way but all worth it in the end Hope everyone has a great day!!!! WOW can we say it is cold outside??? This up and down weather is killing me. One day it is nice enough to turn heat down and open windows. The next day you dont dare step outside for fear of getting frost bite. lol Thank goodness for heavey clothes. Never thought I would hear myself saying those words. But yup I surely did say them and I will proabley repeat them several more time the colder it gets. lol *Please everyone REMEMBER Kelli in your prayers today. Her surgery with Dr. Hornbostel is scheduled for Noon today. I will post just as soon as I speak with her Mother. Jan: My hernia repair is on the 14th just like Andrew said. We are going to leave on the 12th. And check into a motel until my surgery date. Were going to be staying at Sherr favorite motel and in the room that she usually stay in. lol Taken the laptop with us so I can stay connected to everyone while in the hospital. Or at least DH can that is. NO, my F-I-L didnt pass his driver test yesterday. He volunteerly handed over his licenses yesterday that way it wont hurt his insurance. And there wont be any points on his driven record. Which to me is really silly why worry about his driving record now??? Outside of insurance reasons. But still he wont be driving. Needless to say he wasnt very talktive yesterday when he came over. My heart broke for him No, I dont want him to drive he is an unsafe driver. But I also hate to see him hurt like that also. Is it better for him and everyone on the road if he doesnt drive. Yes!!!! by all means. Well I got to make DH a quick bite to eat. He is going to help his friend today for awhile. I am hanging out at the house waiting to call Kelli's Mother to see how she did. I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!! God Bless Melissa

Sorry this was to cute to pass up!!!! A cabbie picks up a nun. She gets into the cab and notices that the very handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring. He replies,"I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you" She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive." "Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me." She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that. #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic." The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic." "Ok" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley." The nun fulfills the cab driver's fantasy with a kiss that would make a hooker blush. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying. "My dear child," said the nun. "Why are you crying?" "Forgive me but I have sinned. I lied and I must confess. I'm married and I'm Jewish" The nun says, "That's ok. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween Party.
