carrot cake
I dont always follow recipes. When I make carrot cake I follow a regular recipe but add splenda in place of sugar and sf applesauce in place of oil. I add crushed pineapple, pecans, grated carrots, self rising flour , sf applesauce, splenda and mix it up. I bake the cake in a 13 by 9 pan and frost the cake with a frosting of splenda, vanilla, a little butter and low fat cream cheese, I made this cake for a birthday party for an obesity help friend of mine and he had a regular chocolate cake too and mine cake went first. Even the skinny people liked it. If you take out the sugar and oil carrot cake is a fairly healthy food we can have fairly often. I forgot I add pumpkin pie spice and cinamon too. I recently bought a splenda cookbook as I try a recipe and like it I will share it with everyone.
great David actually a lot of receips can be used with us if you use your head about fixing them . and use other things instead of what it says. like spagetti and meat balls . use spat squash instead and you have reduced all of the carbs to almost nothing. and isbetter tasting too. thanks for sharing the receips.
