Good News...Bad News! Again!
Sorry, just starting to get an eeyore complex here! Good News, I found a shrink that can get me in Nov 20th. It's in Sedalia and the appt is at 8:30am...early morning here for that appt (an hour drive, one way). Bad news, the shrink that will be seeing me just lost his Medicare Cert. because of all the business he has been getting since Medicare all of a sudden needs psych evals on everyone! He hadn't been seeing many peeps on Medicare until this rush where everyone needs the evals. He had let the cert slide and bamm....he has to wait 5 or 6 weeks before he can get Medicare to pay for anything which means I have to come up with $180.00 or find another shrink. Dena, if your reading this...I'll be calling!

Gods gonna work out one way or another Deb, of course you already know that. It seems I kept hitting snag after snag there for a bit but now it all seems to be coming together. I'll for sure keep ya in my prayers that things work out quickly, I know how much you wanna get this over with and get on with what God has for your life

I don't know what insurance you have, I have United health Care and Medicare and the following psychologist got me in within a week. Janice McKeehan ,PhD, 400 East Red Bridge Rd., Kansas City, MO, 816-942-2766. Her office should be an easy commute if you can get an appointment sooner than what you already have. She faxed my info to Dr. Hornbostel's office, so if you get in, be sure to take his fax number with you. I basically explained that I needed to get in ASAP because my surgery was already scheduled. I know she takes Medicare and UHC but I don't know what her exact charge would be without the UHC part. But it's worth a shot and a lot closer than Sedalia. My sister lives in Harrisonville so I know the route well. Hope this helps. I'll be praying for you.
