MONDAY WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!!!

The green house is almost completed ,well almost. We ran out of channel to put the polycarbonate panels in so I have to call the company this morning to order 8 more pieces and another 100 screws. Then we have the elect to get completely run into there and it will be done. Yea!!!! When it is done I will take a picture and put it on my web site so you can all go see what I have been spending so much time doing lol Wasn't it a beautiful day yesterday , suppose to be that way again today but Tuesday it is back cold and rainy . I guess it is to be expected after all it is almost November . Something was said about Christmas and I told Joe that I already have my Christmas and birthday and wedding anniversary present all in one. That is something I have always wanted and it is so neat .... I wore size 18 zip up jeans all day long today. I felt so sexy lol Wont be long before I am passing them on to someone else because they weren't that tight on me right now. Andrew: yes would be wonderful to meet you and Susan. In fact if you can get your one month appointment for that same date I will stay longer or come early what ever to meet you . Ok? Will be great to meet some more of my good friends on here. So when is your psych test? Tell them you really need the results fast. You didn't have to have that before Medicare approved it? Colette: so good to see you on here again. don't work so hard this next week. Melissa : Hello girl always so good to see your smiling face when I turn on the computer. Yes I have some really great neighbors. Tell Janet that we will be cheering her on ,on Dec 5th.Hoping the best for her. What happened to Kelli she hasn't posted much lately? Vesta: yeah I know exactly how you feel. I guess most of us that are post op felt that way before surgery. I just knew that my Doctor would get sick , or the hospital would burn down , or something else like that would happen. Yes Dena is a wonderful person and anytime you want to talk to her she is available and you can email her too and she will answer you right away. Anyway as Melissa said all of us have felt that way at one time or the other before surgery. And then after surgery most everyone thinks they are going to be the one person that the surgery doesn't work on. But it will work. Lana: so sorry you have been being so stiff and sore. Me too with all that rain. It is miserable isn't it. Do you use muscle rubs at all. They really do help some. Especially if you don't want to take as much oral pain meds. I still have the arthritis even tho I have lost so much weight . But I do think it is less and Im able to move a little better. So hang in there it wont be long Huera: wow wont be long now will it? Just keep busy and the time will fly by. And the last week after you have your pre op testing it will be so busy you wont realize it that it surgery day. Debbie : do you have a psych eval scheduled now? Yes I heard that you have to have that done and turned in now to be able to get a date for surgery. Oh Debbie you just don't know how good I am feeling. I was beginning to wonder when I was only about a month out and still didn't feel really great. But now I am up to doing just about anything. I was carrying boards and stuff all day today. Washed all the windows that I am having put into my green house. Did some more of the elect boxes where I want them. It is just so much fun to be able to bend , stoop and almost can squat lol. Not quite on that but almost. That is right your time is coming I cant wait for some of you to be able to do all of this stuff. It is so great. Kathleen : don't know if I have said welcome to you before but if not welcome. Did you not have your picture up there and just now do that? I think sometimes I have a touch of Alzheimer's lol I know what you mean about the surgery and being cold. It was 77 today and I was out most of the day in a long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. Finally put on a short sleeved shirt but use to I would have had on shorts in that temp. and the thinnest shirt I could find. So how much weight have you lost all together. Are you close to goal? Julia: well just jump in the car and drive down to see me , would probably be cheaper than mailing yourself. Lol Lets hope you don't back out this time for surgery. Lol Andrew on the 14th will probably have to be in the hospital around 6 am to get ready for surgery. And wont be out of surgery till around noon . You can go by and see him before the meeting but I doubt if you will be able to see him on the 14th in the early morning unless you get up really early. Lol LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Good Morning all..... Jan, I don't have my shrink appt yet. I have a call into one of them in town but they said it would take about 2 weeks to get me an appt??? I'm not waiting around, Julia gave me the name of hers, in Sedalia. I will be calling them later today! It's only a little after 6am now so I think I better wait a litle bit...lol If they can't get me in soon I will go somewhere else but Julia got an appt right away so I'm praying the same will happen for me. Craig?? WOW!!!!!!!!!!! on the picture!! WLS has made a new man out of you...CONGRATS!! I am sooooo proud of you and you gotta know that Jesus is smiling down at you as well!! You've polished up the temple!! Keep up the great work! Also, thanks for the words of encouragement.....they really do help!! ...and I will never give up!! Full steam ahead!! I'm getting pretty good at jumping these hurdles! Andrew, glad to see your ready for your wls, get that shrink appt over with and you'll be on your way to the loser's bench!! I hope I'm right there with ya but if not I will be soon enough. I have learned through the years that things don't always come easy for me but I'm use to being a hard worker and I will overcome (I have God on my side)!! Marilyn....wow girl, 3 weeks? You ready? Glad everyone is doing well. My wife and I went shopping yesterday. We bought halloween costumes and some new jogging pants. Our old jogging pants are just so big on us anymore. I can wear large or medium size and my wife fits into small size. For all you new people our weight has been stable for a while. It is so nice to not have a huge regain of weight. My fat clothes are gone forever. I am three years post op and before surgery who knew you could keep all this weight off so easily. I eat what I want to eat just small portions. I have learned as long as I get some exercise in and am active the weight will stay off. I cant just sit on my butt though I have to walk or do something physical. It is so much fun to shop now and buy clothes that are in fashion and look nice. I wear really bright colors now as I dont like like a beached whale anymore and I look okay in bright clothes.

Good Morning Everyone, Jan & Andrew - My appointment is Dec 19 to see Dr. H. Hopefully we can make some kind of arrangements to meet up. I need help archiving my old posts, I would like to save all my old posts and not sure if I can, any help would be appreciated. I am like everyone else as for as being on the cold side. I had female surgery when I was 36, you know the type where they take out everything. I haven't been cold since then. I haven't bought a winter coat in many, many years. I've only wore jackets, but know I'm freezing all the time. It's really weird for me and my dh. He's used to me freezing him out all the time and now he says I'm burning him up always asking for the heat to be turned up in the car or asking him to build a fire in the stove. I'm like you Jan I have always wore shorts and t-shirts in the house all winter but now I'm putting on flannel and sweats and 2 shirts at a time. If I'm this way after losing 56 pounds I wonder if it gets worse after losing 100 pounds? When I used to get so hot and sweating buckets I used to tell the people that were complaining they were cold that they could put on more clothes but they didn't want me to take mine off. But now I don't know if I will be able to get enough clothes on sometimes to stay warm, it's really weird for me. Craig you are looking great. Good Afternoon Ya'll, What a wonderful day it is out, a bit windy tho but still really nice. Been spending the day finishing up getting settled in here. I finally got the all the pictures hung and lil nick nacks arranged. The cable guy just left from finally burying the cable wire, now if we can get the phone company out here to bury there's we'll be all set. Jan you asked when my eval appt was, well it's this Saturday. She just couldnt fit me in all week so is what she is gonna do is come to my house on Saturday, yes I said she is coming to the house here on Saturday LoL She'll do her eval and stuff, said it would take about 90mins or so. The Lord really worked that one out for me. She also said she'd make sure her findings and all were complete and she'll have it faxed to Dr. Hornbostels by the following Monday Nov. 6, thats when I go for my pre-op testing, so that will be great!!! No I didnt have to have the eval before I was approved. Actually at the seminar Dr. H said a letter from our pastor would most likely be sufficent but I guess things changed, you know how medicare is. I know Andrew, it's frustrating to say the least but it will work out in the end. I think God's gonna put His foot wheres it needed, THEN we will see something get done! But I do appreciate the thought...trust me!! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger? Also, it's just confirmation on something that God has already laid on my heart! What I feel is....spiritual healing and spiritual growth!! Trust me...God's in control!! Two crazies on the loose at Bothwell, at the same time...say it isn't so? .....lol I may not be in a wheelchair for the races but I can still run pretty good...that is... if I have something to lean on...um, you don't mine if I lean against the back of YOUR wheelchair??.....YEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They'll be looking to put me in a straight jacket and they may not have enough nerve pills to help you!! You may go from to with me driving!! Remember, I drove a Metro Bus in downtown KCMO for 10 years!! Ever hear of Howling Mad Murdock?? Well, it didn't start with the series the ATeam....LOL!!
