Sunday Morning Whats Happening:

Wow yesterday was a beautiful day wasn't it. And today is suppose to be so too. Wanted to tell you of my cheering section I have. Lol Where we live the only people that live out here are older people that have retired ,saying that to say this. Each morning that I go for a walk most of them are sitting on their sun porches drinking their coffee or eating breakfast. And each morning most of them always say something encouraging to me. Like there she goes the shrinking woman, or way to go your walking spry this morning. Or How much you lost now. They are all so interested in the surgery that I had to stop the first few days and explain it all to all of them. Lol. I get a smile every morning from all of them and a wave and it makes me want to walk farther and farther. This morning I got down past this one house that I havent gotten down to before and the little man that lives there said to me. Well you finally made it down my way too huh? He said you keep walking honey it is paying off for you isn't it.? They all make my walk so pleasant that even if I am really tired by the time I get to one of their houses their happy faces and smiles perk me right back up. Craig that is the greatest new in the world about you going to get the trac out. I cant wait for that to happen for you. Wonderful great news. Vesta: yesterday was a great day and today is suppose to be another one. Hope you have a good day today too. Brenda : yes I love your hair. You look like a young girl in the new pictures. Oh Andrew wanted to know if your appointment with Dr. H is the 19th too. If so he wants us to all get together after appointments. If he can get his first month appointment then. It would be fun. Tami: that was so funny about your Daughter and wanting all of her teeth back. Lol Kids they can sure be silly cant they Melissa: did your fil take the driving part of his test yet? Yeah I love walking in the leaves. But it sure will take a few days for them to dry out now wont it? Glad your hubby had a good birthday yesterday. I tell you this wls sure makes you feel lots colder. I wore a heavy sweat shirt all day yesterday outside working. Use to I would have been down to a light t-shirt by noon anyway. Andrew: well thank good ness you have got your psych eval covered. And since you know her maybe she can and will get the paperwork done up for you quickly and fax it to Dr. H. . Hey I think that would be great if you can get your one month appointment on the 19th that would be cool. Yeah that would be neat. Maybe we could all go have coffee or water or something. That is Joe and my wedding anniversary too, that date. We may stay all night in Sedalia that night and do something there don't know. Huera: I love the fact that you got your psych eval done early so you could get a second opinion lol funny girl. Oh yeah Andrew all of Dr. Hs. Surgerys are all early. He only does one a day and does that early in the morning I guess. At least that is what they told me when I was up there last. Unless an emergency happens he is a one person doctor. Lol Barbara T: When you have something to say you have something to say. Go on Girl. Talk away. I love it when some of you get excited about something and tell us all about it. Seems as tho God is blessing all of us a lot. The weight coming off , tracs comeing out, clothes getting too large and falling off. Lol Appointments made, consults done, surgery appointments made, pre ops done. All of it is in God time and all is well with everyone. So happy for everyone . Debbie M: so glad to see you back on line . Hope you stay with us now. And I hope that you get an surgery appointment soon. What is the hold up on your surgery ? Is it your insurance or what? LOL about not being room for the kids to move back home that is cool lol Colette: wow really good to see you this morning when I open this up. You are working way to much. I thought this was suppose to be a part time job.lol. That is the way nursing always is . You tell them you want to only work 2 days a week you work 7 if you don't say NO. Wonderful tho that you feel like doing it. Come back more often. REMBEMBER TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK I have got to run to Lowes early this morning to pick up more screws for the panels and for the right size nails for the cedar siding being put on the bottom part of the green house. Also need to stop at the grocery store and get a few things. I wish I could find something really good to eat that I would like. I am back to eating mostly soups and oatmeal and my protein shakes . Wowzers, what a day it was yesturday, such a wonderful day outside. I didnt get as much accomplished as I wanted too but it was so nice seeing the sun shine down upon us Jan that would really be fun to meet you all in December, I know my wife would love it. I keep talking to her about the people on here to her and she's always like "are you sure your not dreaming all them up" LoL It's such a wonderful blessing to have made such friendships with the Missouri family here Jan thats great about getting into surgery early, hopefully I'll be awake then when Colette and Huera come by that afternoon. Huera now I see why you went and got your eval so soon, hopefully the Dr wont discover that your too crazy LoL I dunno if the hospital can handle all us crazies at one time LoL Craig again congrats on all the weightloss, you just keep inspiring me so much and now getting your trach out, thats the best news ever Deb M. hope you post more often, we sure miss your smiling face when your not around, glad to see you back!!! Andrew, My appt with Dr. H is at 3:30 so I wont get there to see you till around 5. You should be wide awake by then. But no popsicles that day. Only the next day. The time is going fast and before you know it you will be on the losers side. Colette

Rachael: How is your daughter feeling?? Brenda: You look so great!!! Love the hair color!! Sherr: Where are you???? I havent heard from you in over a week. Did you get my message I left you?? Craig: That is the best news I have heard on here in long time!!!!! CONGRATS!!! Extra Extra read all about it!!!!! Janet C from the MO board has offically got her surgery date. It will be on Dec 5th at 8am in Columbia, MO. So Andrew your cant get to comfy on that bench okay?? You will have to make room for Janet because she is coming in right after you. CONGRATS Janet!!!!! Also please remember Kelli McCollum from here on the MO board has her surgery scheduled for Nov 2nd. good morning all, when you were pre opp. did you have times when you thought time would never get here for your date to be set, and afraid something will happen befor you can get it done? It will be 2 weeks wed. since I had my appointment, I called Dena fri. afternoon, she hadnt heard anything yet ,I guess the hospitol checks with medicare and sets the date then lets her know. I guess I am impatient, and I dont mean to be, Dena said they hadnt had any problems with medicare so far. Dena is a very nice person. I didnt even get around for church this am, my hubby had to go without me. I have been doing alot of praying, and I need your prayers..tks for listening to me complain, I dont bare my thoughts easily. but didnt have any problems doing it here here. love ya all Vesta

Vesta Sweetie I saw your post and wanted to reply. I believe that at one point we have all felt like our surgery date would never get here. Or that something would happen and we wouldnt get a date. Please dont ever give up!!!! The devil will do everything he can to discourge you and make you feel like your defeated. But your NOT!!! Your God's child and he wants you happy and healthy. So dont listen to the devil throw him under your feet where he belongs and claim that VICTORY in Jesus name!!!! Your in my thoughts and prayers sweetie. And please dont think your complaining. That is why we come here is because altho alot of us have family and support people in our lives. They sometimes just dont understand cause they themself are no going thro what we are are going thro. And thats why we can share so easyly with our extended family here on the board cause we do truely understand. God Bless You!!! Melissa

Good morning to Jan and all the Missouri OH brothers and sisters, I haven't been on for a couple of days because I've not been feeling well. Friday AM I could barely make it out of bed, arthritis was soooooo bad. Hands, shoulders and knees mostly but achy everywhere. Thank you Jesus, I'm feeling some better today. My best friend forever, Carol, and her hubby and another couple stopped by last night. They are in Branson for a few days but came over to our house and then we all went to Lamberts for dinner. They were going to a show but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to sit that long and John agreed that we shouldn't try it. I get so stiff during the night. Takes a couple of hours for me to loosen up in the AM and then along toward evening it starts to hurt again. I know I'm taking too much medicine right now but I just hurt so bad. I know this is just from the cold wet weather and my system just has to get used to it but it is a downer for sure. I don't like to not be able to do what I want to when I want to. I'm so proud of all of you losing and doing so well. Time is coming soon when I'll be joining you on the bench. What a glorious day that will be. Gotta stop this typing, hurts my hands, but wanted you all to know I"m thinking of you and keeping you, as always in my heart and prayers. Lana

Lovely Lana, I'm so sorry to hear that you're in such pain. I do know how it feels, I've suffered with arthritis for years. And I know how you can stiffen up at night. OUCH! I had double knee replacements 3 years ago and the bones don't rub together now but the muscles still get stiff if I don't keep them loose. Well, I'm counting down now........3 more weeks and I will transition to the LOSERS BENCH. Move over peeps, the big dog is moving in. I sure hope you are feeling better now that the sun is out! Morning All...thanks all for the welcome back! I hated not being able to get on here! Jan, I really don't know why it's taking so long...all I can figure is that Medicare changed their policy about needing a psych eval (MMPI) before being scheduled for wls before I got my surgery date. It's okay....there could be a number of reasons but I know when it's my turn, it will be in God's Time! Craig...sooooooooo proud of you! You inspire so many of us. Keep up the good work! Andrew, thank you, it's good to be back! Lots of newbies, I see...the more, the merrier! Deb D ...there are good and bad to all surgeries. Read and learn all you can before you make your decision. None of us can make that decision for you. I have told you about what I have heard, read or seen and Jan has told you how she will feels about the differences. There are others on here that have been through it....ask all, Pray and then make your own decision. Jan....man, are you getting around good or what? Seems like you haven't had anything done. I figured you wouldn't be up doing this strenuous kinda wor****il later. I'm proud of all of you post surgeries....all of you are doing so good! Pre-surgeries...get ready, our time is coming...sooner than we think! Love & Prayers for All Deb
