Saturday Whats Happening.

Well now that the World Series is over and the Cardinals won. How about that game? Pretty good one huh? Way to go Cardinals!! I think the rain is over with for a while now. At least they say for a few days. I don't mind the rain except when it is for days and days. And you cant get out to do anything. We are suppose to get restarted again, on the green house today. Hopefully we can get it all done in the next 2 to 3 days. I did my exercise tape yesterday and it always just kicks my butt. I will be glad when these bones that have almost cemented themselves ,will get a little more flexible. Of course part of it is muscles that have gotten so tight I guess. I keep stretching and stretching and hope that one day I will be like I use to be , or at least like I was 30 years ago physically. wouldn't that we wonderful? I intend to keep exercising and walking until I am close to that anyway. I know I cant really look like I am 30 again but if I can move and get around like I am that will be the greatest thing in the world to me. Brenda: wow I love your new picture. Talk about someone decreasing in size and age. You look 20 years younger. Love it. No you are right I didn't sleep late. My late is about 7am anyway. Lol Walking in the rain when it is so windy and cold like it was yesterday doesn't make for a very pleasant experience does it. Hey do you go back to see Dr. H on the 19th of December this time? I do and didn't realize it when I was making the appointment but that is our wedding anniversary. Will be 19 years married to this great guy. I thank God for him everyday. Julia: as much as I like your little avatar I surely would like to see a picture of your smiling face on your post. That is so nice of you to be willing to go visit any one in the Sedalia hospital. Have you met Colette yet? Or any of the other ladies that live close to Sedalia? Hopefully you will meet some of them when you go to the support meeting. Sherr: hey anytime you are over in this area or going to be let me know the guest quarters will be open for business. Yes I would imagine breakfast will come with it ..but for my weight loss friends that will consist of either a bowl of oatmeal or a protein shake lol Yeah you said your first date was a dud. Oh he thought you should fall for him right away huh? That should have sent up red flags like crazy. Don't worry your man radar will get better as long as you keep your head and know what you want in a man. Just don't settle for someone to have anyone in your life. There are a lot worse things than being by yourself. Did you happen to see any of 20/20 last night? That would explain a lot of what I am talking about . That poor woman . Hey I think your recipe idea is a good one. There are a lot of good recipes out there that are low in carbs and fats and very good eating. Are you going to make it a daily thing or what? How ever you do it , it will be fun and great to get some new ideas on good healthy food. As everyone knows that has had the surgery it is a life style change and you need to totally rethink your way of cooking . My husband is enjoying the food I am cooking a lot better now than before and has lost a few pounds already, and not even trying. Vesta: good to see your pretty face. As you can see no I don't ever sleep in. Like I said before to me 7am is sleeping in for me. Lol Melissa: Did your hubby have a good birthday yesterday. Tell him we all wish him a good one even if it is a day late now. That weather yesterday was just so very cold that I didn't get out much yesterday, didn't even go for my walk. I did an exercise tape inside. I went to go get the mail yesterday and put on a jacket , walked out the door and that wind was blowing so hard I about froze , I came back in and got on a heavy coat that I havent wore for about 5 years , it about feel off of me but was warm anyway. Suppose to be a car coat and came all the way to my knees lol. I buttoned it all the way up and then could pull my arms out of the sleeves into the coat . was really funny looking. So I guess I will need to look for a coat for this winter at the thrift shop too. I have never needed one really before but yesterday made me realize that I will have to have one since I get so cold so easy. Loved the joke. Claudette: loved the picture on your post now. Yes I did check out your pictures on your profile . Pretty baby. And your before and after pictures are quite a difference girl. I wouldn't know it was the same person that is for sure. No you don't sound Vain. Barbara T. Hey great to see you again. The August babies don't come on the board too much anymore. I don't know why but seems like they all just got so busy and it has only been 2 months since surgery. I guess we all were so still before that now that we have new mobility we don't want to sit still long enough to say hi on the board. Glad your book is coming along well. So glad your hubby is doing well and that he came thru the surgery good. Sounds like you have another wonderful hubby there. Arent they a blessing from God when you have a good one? Yes this wls was the best thing I have even done for myself ,how about you? Do you ever regret in at all ? Sure does change your attitude about a lot of things doesn't it? So wonderful to hear from you and keep posting. I miss all my August buddies. You hear that Linda, and Sky. Does anyone know what happened to Sweet Honey? Craig where are you? Seems there are a lot of people that come on here for a short time and then they leave . I don't think I will ever leave but then who knows , we never know what life holds for us do we? God may have something else planned for me to do next. Right now I feel this is where he wants me to be. For what reason I don't know but it isn't for me to question but to do. I learned a while ago ,that is a hard lesson to finally learn. To just do what God leads you to do. Don't worry about how or why or where or when. Just be open and God will show you what to say and when to say it. He doesn't call the best equipped just the ones that are willing to be. Good Morning Missouri, I pray everyone has a wonderful day in the Lord. Not much going on here just going to be a lazy Saturday I think. I would like to thank everyone for your special compliments on my weight loss and pictures. It's hard for me to see it yet, I look in the mirror and still see a fat person but hopefully I will see the difference soon. Also my hair has changed, it's back to my natural color, light auburn. All my life I always wanted to have anything but red hair, but as I get older I've started liking it more. Everyone have a great day. Talk to you all Monday. Love Brenda

Morning Jan, Well I DID sleep in today! Felt GREAT! only been up bout 30 mins and getting ready to do my palates. Plan to go on a hike later (or long walk, whichever) just to enjoy the SUN for a change! My 7yr old daughter got up screeming she wants her tooth back. She's decided suddenly that mom and dad are the toothfairy and wants to give the $ back for her tooth, and while were at it, she wants all the old teeth back too. KIDS!!!!! I came downstairs and told her she is being a turd! lol Watched the movie, "this hill have eyes" last night.....then couldn't go to sleep, kept seeing the faces of people from the movie! Didn't like it. Had to turn on tv for a while. I'm not one to usually have that problem either. Well you all have a great weekend!!!!! I'm striving to keep my snacking DOWN, stay away from the cashews, and be ACTIVE! : ) Tami

Good Morning Everyone: Wow the rain has left our area!!! Walked outside this morning and talk about a beatiful fall day. It will take several days for all those leaves to dry out and be crispy when you walk thro them. I think if I was 10 yrs younger I would be jumping in a pile of them (if they were dry). DH & I are going to veggitate at the house today. We went out to lunch yesterday with his best friend and his (bf) family. Watched acouple of movies and ate a very light supper. Today were going to hang out together head over to his fathers house later this afternoon. To check on him and go pick up some meds for him. Got the candy all ready for the lil ghost and gobblins on Tuesday. That is if I can keep DH out of it. Told him he cant have any cause he didnt say trick or treat. lol Well I hope you all have a wonderful day. Good Morning Everyone well afternoon lol Like everyone else, it's such a beautiful day out today. Kind of breezy but the sun is shining so bright out and it's actually nice out. We just got back from visiting the FIL in the nursing home. He always gets a huge smile on his face when we go see him, he's such a whoot lol. That man has all the nurses and staff there wrapped around his lil finger and he knows it lol. It's such a blessing to see how happy he is, I can still remember the day we took him there to live, it didnt seem he understood what was going on and it was so hard on my wife esp, we both cried when we left him there, he had lived with us for over 5 yrs or so but anyway, we had a great time with him. Just so ya'll know, I have my psych eval covered now Friday I was kind of in a panic, I called Dena and she helped me out with some idea's and things then later in the afternoon I finally got ahold of one in Fredericktown, turns out she buys Angelfood from the church each month. She's gonna fit me in next week and take care of the eval. She's totally booked up but said she'd be more the glad to sqeeze me in, yay!! So Jan you and Huera dont have to scold me anymore LOL Huera I'll sure be there to check in on ya after my 1 week check up!! Julia if we dont get to meet up with ya on Nov. 6th I'll be there on Nov. 14th, thats my surgery day and also thats the support meeting night if you attend that. Doubt I will feel up to attending the meeting but it'd be awesome of ya stopped by afterwards Colette is also gonna be in Sedalia on Nov 14, she has her 1 yr check up, she suppose to stop by too, we can all have a big ole hospital party LoL Jan I was talkin to my wife the other day, I was remembering that you and Brenda both have your 3 month appts on Dec. 19, I was thinking maybe if it's possibe I could make my 1 month appt a couple days late, make it for Dec. 19 and I could possibly meet up with ya'll for a few mins, that'd be a whoot lol Dunno if that'd work out or not but it sure a thought. Deb M. are ya any closer to getting a date??? Seems like it's been forever, we're gonna have to get onto them to hurry it up lol. Hope your doing better and get ya puter all hooked by up soon. Well Im gonna go outside and straighten up the shed. When we moved we just kind of shoved things in there and now I cant find a thing lol You know how it is when ya move lol. Yeah Andrew! I'm glad to hear you are getting something done. Now we just have to worry if the psych doctor is going to find you too crazy to have the surgery. See, I had my eval done early enough so I could get a second opinion if the first psych didn't pass me. And if we hadn't rode you about it you would probably still be procrastinating. I hope you have your surgery early enough in the day so you will be awake when I come to see you that afternoon. Huera

Nah ya silly nut lol I really was seeking counsel hard but just couldnt find one that i could afford or would take medicare but yeah I already know Im crazy so hopefully the doc wont find me too crazy lol I havnt been told a time yet on my surgery, I hope it's early too cuz I dont wanna miss the party LoL Andrew

Hi Jan Just to respond to your post this morning, yes I agree this is one of the best decisions I've made. I asked my pcp to discontinue my oxygen and cpap machine and of course she was fussing about how worried she is because she doesn't want me to think this is a cure all and since I have diabetes she is looking at the complications that I can go through, SO I took the time to explain this great miracle that God has given to me (us). I haven't used either one since surgery and I'm doing okay w/o them , she did what I asked but of course there was a discussion. Before surgery all four of my doctors said how great this would be for me and now their stories have changed but TOO LATE! my blood sugars have been wonderful so far the lowest has been 76 and the highest has been 123, I'm not taking insulin but being careful and watching what I eat. My blood pressure is going down the latest reading was 141/80 as opposed to being 198/100 or even 180/90 and I have hope that as I lose weight it will get lower and Dr. H. explained that as an African American woman my BP may not get to normal but not be quite as high, BUT GOD (in whom I believe) can take it back to normal look what He's done already (woot woot as Andrew says God has kept me on my feet when I was feeling like I was going to die, I better quit before I have to get my SHOUT ON See when you get me started I won't quit I know that now when I see anyone obese I stop and pray and ask God to help them find this great miracle tool for themselves and I testify to others about WLS and tell them to visit OH and get some facts. Man I am HIGH on this but I will quit for now. I would do before and after pics but I haven't figured out how to yet . you Jan you are a sweetheart and the board wouldn't be the same w/o YOU so God bless you and everyone also. Well....took long enough but I'm back!! I broke my desk while trying to move it. But now I'm here and set up in my new "office" room. All warm and toasty and I'm right off the front room so Hubby and I can hear each other. The best thing....theres not more room for the kids to move back in!.....lol Well, I don't have much to say today so I will sign off for now! God Bless to Everyone!!
