Missouri WLS Family TRIED HEALTHY RECIPE EXCHANGE....
Thought it would be great to start recipes that we have TRIED and loved, with each other, since we are ALL on some version of our WLS journey...
All of us should be eating healthfully, whethere we are still pre-op, or way out into Post Op land.
You can tell what you loved about your recipe, serving suggestions, what you would change if you made it again....
I think this will be fun...and each of you on the Missouri Board is so close to my heart this is like a family recipe swap

Old Fashioned Hot Cocoa
1 Tablespoon unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder (like Hershey's)
1 Tablespoon + 2 teaspoons Splenda
2 Tablespoons Half & Half
1 cup milk (I use skim)
Lid full of Vanilla extract
Sugar Free Cool Whip (optional)
Cinnamon for sprinkling on Cool Whip (optional)
Place the cocoa powder, Splenda, vanilla, ½ & ½, and Milk into a sauce pan. USING MEDIUM HEAT. Continuing to stir stir so it doesn't not scorch or boil....until hot.
Pour into favorite mug, and top w/ Cool Whip & Cinnamon if you wish....
Makes 1 serving
