THURSDAY WHATS HAPPENING
Well we got absolutely nothing done yesterday. Rain and more rain. The game was called because of rain and I mean the World series as well as my game plan for the day too. We went and got the cedar siding to put on the bottom part of the green house so we now have all the components to finish building it just need to have a break in the weather .
A good friend of mine that lives in Ark. Had her surgery today , finally she has had 3 cancellations for surgery before. So finally she is on the bench with us. So guys meet Jeannie. She is our newest wls sister.
I got some more spring flowering bulbs in the mail yesterday so I will get out in the morning and plant them while the ground is nice and soft if it isn't pouring down. Lol. I have 150 tulips also to plant but the bed where Im planting them is still filled with zinnias so that will have to wait until we have a frost and then I will pull them up and can plant the tulips.
We havent had any frost yet at all here.
I still need to find someplace to buy straw at. So far I havent found any. Neighbor told me about a place up in Kissee mills that has some and is really cheap. So will probably go up there tomorrow.
Melissa: so did your fil pass his driving test? No I don't think they should be allowed to take the written test over and over in one days time. I was told they only have 3 different test. I know that has to be bad to lose your independence like that . Well you know you just recently got yours back when you could drive again. But there comes a time in everyone's life that this is probably going to happen.
Congratulations on the 6 months out from surgery. How much weight have you lost total now? Im with you on the not following the rules after wls. Why have the surgery if you arent going to follow the rules. I understand it is harder for some than others but....
Tell your hubby happy birthday from all of us. Have fun on Friday.
Huera: Im so sorry that I didn't get to see you too on Monday.
You probably wont have your one week appointment from the date of surgery but from the date you got out of hospital. I am excited about your surgery date coming up soon. It will be here before you know it. Keep your self busy doing stuff and it will fly by.
No I wasn't scared and if you have a problem with that and about being put to sleep talk to the sleepy doc when you go for your pre ops the week before surgery. Im sure they can make you feel more at ease.
Claudette: glad that your week is going by fast at work. Would be nice if the work week went fast and the week ends were slow wouldn't it.
I look forward to meeting you next month also. It will be on the 27th right? I am really disappointed that I didn't get to come to the first one since everyone is so happy how it turned out.
Sherr: how are you feeling girl? Are you better now?
Are your taste buds still messed up. Like I said mine were for almost 2 months before stuff started tasting right again. And water was the worse.
Today wasn't a good day for me and my water or food intake. Maybe some of you older post ops can tell me why? Some days I have no problems at all with getting in all my water and protein . Then other days it is like my stomach says oh no you don't. Why? And it doesn't do any good to try and force it.
I drank one protein shake today and when at noon I tried to get in another one I threw up
I finally got about 32 oz of water in today but that isn't enough. I felt fine physically just couldn't stand anything in my pouch.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS
JAN
Hi Jan:
Read your post every morning. Just wanted to say that it takes a good three to four months for your pouch to heal inside and somedays you will have problems with getting in food and water. Just remember what you ate two days ago or yesterday could have agravated the new pouch and is just now letting you know. Even as far out as I am I still have those days. It is an all new way of life.
Hugs!
Good Morning Everyone:
Well we didnt get the rain like everyone eelse must of got yesterday. They say we have a 40% chance of strong storms today. I dont believe them. lol Yesterday was so dreary looking like it wanted to open up and pour but it never really did. I put on a pot of brown beans for supper. Man were they ever good I even sent some home for my F-I-L to have for his supper. And then froze a quart size baggie. Which is good for me because I plan on using those things I freeze for when I get out of hospital. And dont feel like cooking. he he he
Jan: Yes, My F-I-L ended up passing his written test yesterday. He took it 2 times on Tuesday and failed both times. And took it 2 times on Wed and passed the 2nd time. Now all he has to do it pass his driveing test.
No, I dont feel personally that he needs to drive. He just doesnt have the motor skills to operate a car any more. So were still at a hurry up and wait. The only good thing (not for the poor officer that has to ride with Dad) is that on the driven test he only get like 3 chances total. So we will see how it turns out.
I have lost a total of 128lbs since surgery and a total of 183lbs since Oct of last year.
And I would love to hit 2lander before my surgery. So I am going to try and kick butt for the next 2 1/2 weeks to see if I cant hit it. If not I am sure after I get out of the hospital I will be there. I cant remember when was the last time I was in the 200lbish range. But now that I am that close I am getting so excited I cant stands it. And I know my regular PCP is going to be so excited. Last time I went to him was on Spet 11 and I got to step on his scale for the first time in 9 years of being his patient. He even mentioned it and told me how proud he was of me and happy for me. Cant get to many Dr.'s that will say that to there patient.
Okay I need to be moving. DH is going back over to get his father. I am chilling at the house until he get back so I can go run some errands. I think I am going to take his outt o eat for lunch tommorow at El Vaquero they have the best Fajitas in Joplin!!! I hope you all have a great day.
Where was everyone yesterday??????
Andrew: What did you think of the Biggest Loser??? Wasnt the Blues weight loss wild??
God Bless
Melissa

Good Morning Ya'll,
My goodness is this rain ever gonna end?? It was such a dreary day yesturday and rained practically all day here. The phone company hasnt buried our phone line yet so we have no phone
I guess the rain has grounded out the wires or something, I dunno. Centurytel is spose to be out today to fix it but I'll believe it when I see it.
So far I havnt found a place to get a pysc. eval. the doc here in town seems to now want to be in his office. I drove by there several times yesturday and no one there. I've not found him there since I been trying. Family Services here recommended him to me, I dunno how people contact him tho. It's getting so close to my surgery date and now this, ugh!!
Melissa I was SOOO shocked at the weigh in on Biggest Loser. When the red team weighed in I thought, oh here we go again cuz they had some big numbers. But when the blue team weighed in I was like
holy smoke, esp Erik losing 15 lbs and not having a trainer for 72hrs, wowzers that was so good....I just love that show
Jan I may give the doc you went to a try, I just gotta figure out how to get there, things are running kinda tight cuz of the move but I'll see. Im gonna try a few other places again today and see what I can come up with quick.
Hope everyone stays dry today. GO CARDS! lol Hopefully they can play tonight.
Bless ya's
Andrew

Andrew,
Please don't procrastinate on this psych eval. It still takes at least a couple of weeks to get the letter after they see you and you are running out of time. I saw a Dr. Breuer in Springfield. She was very easy to talk to and that's all we did. And she takes Medicare assignment.
Come on fella, I'm depending on you to come see me when you come for your 1 week check-up!

Ok, going to stop being a lurker and participate more. Thanks Jan, you are so good for us.
Don't have much to say, probably why I don't post more...
I love the thought of a christmas card exchange, with or without pictures. I will do it.
Hey, if you have received one, check out the front cover of the Lane Bryant Gift Check mailer. I have decided that is going to be my holiday outfit. Not sure about filling out the top like she does, but I will get an air bra if I have to!!!!
Have a good day!
