Kevin, Was wondering where you were today? Is there enough beer in the state of Michigan for you to cry in after our Cy Young winning pitcher Chris Carpenter put a thorough lashing on your beloved Tigers? There'a alot of baseball left to play but you have to admit time is running out on your boys from Detroit...two more in St. Louis with a 2-1 lead for the Cardinals is going to be tough to overcome. I'm not going to get too confident as those lethal Detroit bats are likely to come alive before it's all said and done. Pudge and Polanco are loooooong overdue. By the way....you have any extra pine tar sitting around that you could send me? My laptop is slippery and I need a sticky, dirt-like substance to put on my typing hand. Tell you what Kevin! If the Tigers win the series...I will buy and wear a Detroit Tigers hat and World Series Champion shirt for a day and will send pictures to the Michigan Board of the embarassing, crow-eating moment! Anyone that knows me will tell you that wearing anything other than my Cardinals colors is a punishment worse than dumping on a double-chocolate cake with buttercream icing!!! I thought life was Cardinal baseball..... I emailed Kevin from his post yesyerday.. I wrote - CARDINALS WON!!!! Way to go cardinals, way to go!!!!! And we won with out cheating.... Kevin's reply - We haven't determinied that yet? Someone smelled Pine Sol out there near third base. I wrote - It smelled like "Pine Sol" because we cleaned house! That wasn't pine tar. It was icing from a fudge brownie he ate just before coming out to play. After he cleaned it of he pitched better so tell Tony thanks for us. I was hiding as you had already guessed. They lost on my birthday. It mad me sad so I ate Krispy Kreme 6 to go to make me forget my troubles. The worst part was it was my wife's anniversary and it bummed her out too. The poor woman has been married 25 years and all she wanted was a quite dinner and a Tiger win but NOOOOOOOO. Calling for rain the next two days in St. Louis...it quite possibly could be Friday before Game 4 can be played....then when they'd head back to Detroit (if necessary) we're hearing that SNOW is in the forecast! Going to be interesting...if this weather continues to be a factor - pitching WILL dominate the rest of the series just as it has in the first 3 games. These delays could present some interesting scenarios in the pitching rotations! Let's get this thing played! Ready for the 10th World Series Title to be in the record books! Our weather is so nuts we just wait a minute and it will change. I have run my heat and air conditioning in the same day. I had snow in the am and cut the lawn that night. The good thing is that you you'll be able to wait for that title for whole 'nuther year being a thin man cause the hardware's commin' home with the Tigs. kp
