MONDAY WHATS HAPPENING!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone. Wow when I opened up the forum here this morning and saw 19 post under Sunday I said Good Grief. But then I saw that a lot were repeats and answers lol. So maybe this wont be too long.. We put a computer on our truck yesterday and it said either the spark plugs or something else I forgot what it is called. so we started with the simplest and cheapest first the plugs. (which weren't too cheap) I remember when you could buy spark plugs for 30 cents apiece lol these boogers were 8dollars and something apiece . That just doesn't seem right to me. Anyway that fixed the missing. I sure am glad but if it had been the other thing they would have been 100 dollars apiece . Went to my nieces baby shower yesterday and I have never been to a shower that big in my life. There was at least 50 to 60 people there. She said that everyone she invited turned up. I never saw so many gifts and money in my life . She is really blessed to have so many friends Debbie M. So glad to see you back on line. Yes I was very worried about you and when I didn't get any answers to my emails I realized I didn't know how to get hold of you . Sorry you have been sick. Take care of your self. Glad there was nothing wrong other than infection with your husband. Stay with us girl. Andrew: hey quit passing this cold, flu, what ever around the board. Lol Yeah you better hurry and get a psychologist because they don't get in any hurry to get your report to the doctor believe me. It took mine almost 2 weeks to get it to Dr. H. and then only after I called him twice. Melissa: Im afraid you are in for another cold morning this morning. Lol Right now here it is 36. Now that is cold in anyone's book. Well did Terry and his friend get anything hunting? What were they hunting for? Deer? We sure are going to be busy praying for all the surgeries on the 14th aren't we? Tressia surgery is the 2nd of November too we don't want to forget that one. There is someone on here that is this month yet isn't there. I don't have it written down. It may be on the other board that I am one that there is one . Good luck Janet. You need to come post with us too. Claudette: thanks for the recipe for the mocha. I am going to try it as soon as I go to the store and get some s.f. choc. Praise God I think we got the truck fixed and my hubby agreed to come to this first meeting with me anyway. I hope he will have a good enough time to want to come back to another one. My sister is also suppose to be coming. She hasn't had surgery yet but is getting all of her ducks in a row to do so. Yes Claudette I too agree that it really does free you in everyway possible to forgive . I have had people say to me how can you do that when what was done is so wrong and evil? I said it doesn't mean that you have to go and allow them to do it to you again but to forgive is wonderful. Because if you don't then they still control you. If you are always thinking about how they did you and how bad it is then you are still giving them control over you. I have a little saying on my frig. He who angers you controls you. And wow is that ever true. Oh yeah I can now see your profile. I havent gotten started changing mine over at all . I don't know that I will , I cant get long enough time to ever figure it out. When I sign in and try to go to it , the thing keeps sending me back to sign in again and again. I get real impatient with things I guess when they don't work right. Lol Tami I need you to work on mine or have you sitting right here with me for awhile lol. Sherr: lol I had to laugh about your description of your little doctor. He sounds adorable. Hey way to go girl on the weight loss. Keep it up. 22 pounds in three weeks is great. I battled wacky taste buds for about 7 weeks and I didn't have a sore throat. I don't know if it is the anisettes or what but everything had a metal taste to me. Especially water. And the only flavoring that tasted good to me was crystal lite peach tea. All the rest tasted too sweet or too something. All of a sudden that all changed and now I am able to get in more water and it taste good plain now. Your first newborn thanksgiving will be nice to spend it with your family . Be careful on your trip to Columbia next week end. Vesta: you should be getting a call this week sometime I would think. If not it will be the first of the next one. I hope it is soon for you. Tami: I need you to come hold my hand for about an hour and show me how to work this new forum site for our profile. I just cant get it figured out too well. I have all the tutorials printed out and in front of me and they still don't help that much. Yes Faith is just that , giving thanks in advance for what we know that God will be doing for us in the future. He always has and always will come thru. Will see you tonight. Patty: great to see you posting too. Hey yes Chili is a good thing and a good source of protein and will be something that you can eat fairly early on. The beans and meat together have lots of good protein in them. I made a really big pot of it the other day and bought a supply of small cups and lids and put most of it in the freezer so I can pop one in the microwave for a meal . and homemade is so much better than those little cans of it you can buy. Have you heard when you will have surgery yet? Or are you just in the beginning stages ? Good luck and stay with us here on this board. Hopefully you will find some great friends. Good Morning Everyone: Okay I am half tempted to jump back into bed under the covers it is so cold this morning. My tepm says 31 but it feels like 26. I believe that it is a hot apple cider morning. DH has to go give blood work this morning. I need to go pick up hangers (a friend has approx 100 hangers that she is giving me for my parents) They run a community center from their church that gives away free clothing and household items. Gotta stop by the hospital and pick up Dr.'s notes on a past operation and fax to Dr. R. Go to the libarary. Hopefully I will get to make it over to my F-I-L's house today to drop off some food to him and straighten his house. Jan: No they didnt get anything they were scooping the place out. Gooood Mo mo morning ya'll bbbbrrrrr it's cold this morning. My temp gauge on my porch said it was 31 here too, man oh man what we gonna do when it gets COLD LoL I woke up this morning about 6:30am and could not breathe.....dang power had just gone off and I had my C-Pap machine on (no power no air) lol Dunno why the power was out it didnt come back on until about 11am this morning. The wife and I went over to the Fort Cafe where she works and sat and drank hot cocoa (sf) and had a bowl of cream of wheat, that warmed us up!! I got a call into the local Pychologist here, hopefully he'll call back today so I can see about getting my crazy eval. Melissa I got the tape today Thank ya soooooooooooooo much. I got my cable now so I should be good to go thanks again for being such a blessing!!! Deb M. it's so good to see your ok, we was all fixin to send the possi out after ya!!! Jan and all my Missouri Friends, Home from North Missouri last night. Got to enjoy time with my DD and Grandson. We went out and looked at her new house. I can't wait for her to get into it. It is so roomy and warm, but they are doing fine staying with my dear cousin Patty who is so generous to have them move in until their house is available. I had my flu shot on Thursday afternoon and last night driving home (four hours alone) I felt like a sore throat coming on. However, it is fine this AM so I think it might have been a tiny reaction to the shot. My hands and wrists were so sore by the time I got home last night. I guess just from gripping the wheel for so long. I drove from Union Star, where they live, to Kansas City and shopped for a list of stuff at Costco, cause we don't have Costco in Springfield, then drove straight on home and my hands were tight and hurting but I got into bed and put the heating pad on my hands and they are much better. Praise the Lord for healing. I need to be able to use my hands and fingers to work. See you tonight at the meeting. Lana

Hey! I thought I'd post this morning! I wanted so badly to go back to bed after I put my daughter on the bus, but I did not! I put my warm sweats on and walked my black lab for 20 minutes at a walk then run a little pace. It was freezing! I'm origionally from Michigan so really I've just turned into a wimp living in Kansas City! HA! Anyway, after that I went to our little fitness center at our apartments. I used some upper body weights( Only 10 pounds, 15 reps but it's a start.) Then I walked on the tread mill for 27 minutes. I would have walked a little longer, but the stupid machine just stopped! Oh well. I was sweating anyway. I am 2 + years out from Lap band surgery. I have lost 100 pounds and am just stuck on 279 pounds since July. I am trying to stay motivated with the excersise because I know that is really key! With Lap band it is a much slower weigfht loss so it may take me 3-5 years to get down to my goal of 154. Please send me motivational thoughts! I need it so badly! In other words, just kick my butt! Thanks all! Janet in KC I'm a different Janet then the one who usually posts here.
