Craig that's great that you are doing the day tie things on your own. What a huge accomplishment! I'm sure that does bring a good feelign! Have you been able to go to anymore of the local support meetings? My sis hasn't been going. I wish she would. It may not be exactly what she hoped for in a group at this point but by withdrawing it'll never be either. The eating issues change as we go. down 94 pounds is GREAT!!! Just be sure you still are getting the level of protein your body needs when it's tough to get food in. I'm sure you know but some don't soooooo, when you don't get enough protein, your body will start stealing it from your own muscles, including your heart. Which has led to a heart attack for some post-ops. Protein Protein protein.!!! : ) And then also we can only absorb like 25 grams (I think) of protein at a time so take a break in between those intakes, so that your body has enough time to REALLY use it properly, and be sure to drink plenty of liquid as well. Without the liquid to help process the protein, it doesn't do us much good either. I've always drank with my meals and I know some can't or won't, this is a thing that whatever works for YOU is what you should do. My pouch hasn't shrunk and I don't FEEL hunger due to drinking with my meals. But that's ME. I've started using the protein shakes again lately and hadn't used them at all in the first year. When you play around with recipes, try the sugar free syrups in them and ice in the blender......makes them a yummy treat huh?! : ) Hae a great day!! Tami
