The middle of the week again. Everyone who works is always glad for this day to come. Lol Yesterday finally got pretty by afternoon. Sure was gloomy in the morning tho. Today is weight and measure day. I have lost another 3 pounds total of 40 pounds and have lost a total of 471/4 inches. Wow that is a lot . I look at myself and I still see me like I was. I know Im not but when I look in the mirror I still see the old me. Weird what the mind does huh. This has been the very best thing I have ever done for myself in my life. Better than any cosmetic make over, better than any amount of anything. I have had a few problems but nothing life threaten in the least. I am finally able to get most of the water in that I need for a day. That alone is starting to make me feel better and it has quit tasting so awful too. I can take bigger drinks now so it makes it go down easier too. Still have a problem with constipation and I eat a bowl of weigh****chers oatmeal every day. Still have to take a Correctol to be able to go. I keep thinking I will find some prunes or something that isn't loaded with sugar but cant. I guess I could start making my protein shake in the morning with regular milk since I have severe diarrhea when I drink it. Lol Well TMI. SKY: Hey really, really great that you came on the board today. Wow 100 pounds huh. That is fantastic. Cant wait until I get to there. I bet your daughter and you are competing for clothing now aren't you? What size have you gotten in. Hope you are doing as well as you sound. Have really missed you. Claudette: thanks for the info on the meeting on Monday again. Really anxious to meet you all. Sounds like your sinus infection is well on its way to going somewhere. Rachael: hopefully the new doctor can figure out what is wrong with you. I bet your sister is beginning to get excited for Friday to get here so she can join everyone else on the losers bench. Melissa: Hey there! Glad to have you back home and glad you had such a good visit with your folks. Those kiddos sure have a way of growing up fast don't they? Yeah Im not real sure I like all the changes that OH made . Especially the profiles. I still havent figured that all out. don't know that I will or even want too. Going to the car wash today? Sherr: Your soup sounds really good, was it? Does your son Dylan live as much at grandmas as he does at your house? When I was growing up we always lived next door to my moms, mom. Myself and one of my brothers was always at grandmas house almost every night. It was just almost where we lived lol. Well another over night stay in Columbia huh? That is what we pay for having had this surgery so far away from home. But better than not having it at all isn't it. Did you call about the diabetic meds yet? Take care about eating too much toast. Remember it is protein first not toast first. Lol Tami: hi girl will see you next Monday at the new meeting in Springfield. Brenda: LOL well if you are going to make a mistake that is the kind to make. Wow 50 pounds great. I have lost 40 and thought that was good. But it is ok isn't a contest between us is it. We both are losing what we need to lose for us at this moment. Oh my you do have allergies bad don't you? Take care of yourself and yeah the rain probably did clear the air a lot. Hopefully for you and others that suffer so badly. So many of the persimmon trees, and black walnut trees are almost leafless now aren't they? Cloudy and rainy and those trees looks cold already even if it isn't. Oh my Im sure all of us said an extra prayer for your DIL last night after reading about her pregnancy and miscarriages. I pray that God allows this little one to be brought to full term if that is his plan. So hard to understand the miscarriages and things of that nature but is all in Gods hands. Lana: tell your daughter and grandson hello for all of us. Im so glad that you will be able to drive up to see her almost any week end you want to. LOL 12 year olds can be pretty demanding at times cant they? But then so cant 10 year old and 11 year olds and 2 year old lol well you get the idea huh? Is hubby driving up with you ? Be careful and have a good time and we will see you Monday night for sure . Or at least I plan on that happening. You know as they say ,the best of plans of mice and men. Colette: wow your trip out to see the stealth bombers sounds like a really neat trip. And to be able to actually sit in the ****pit. Well just wow!!! I bet that was exciting. Glad you all made it home ok from your trip. I bet you do look really good . The last time I saw you was when I had surgery in August and I was a little out of it so don't remember how much you had lost from the first time I saw you. I remember that you looked good tho. Elizabeth: Glad you got all the drains out and are beginning to feel better. You know you may not need the blood pressure meds at all anymore since you got so much taken out. I more or less took myself off mine. I didn't take it of course while I was in the hospital and when I got home I took my b/p every morning and it was ok so I wouldn't take it and would take it later in the day and it would still be fine. So it just went from one day to next not taking it and now I don't at all. And anytime I check my b/p it is really very good. Usually about 118/68 or so. Anytime you lose a lot of weight it usually makes it a lot better. I hope by Monday you really feel like going back to work. Take it easy and rest. I was just thinking about how I write this everyday in hope that everyone we know will post and let us know how they are doing. Some are so good and faithful and others seem to drop our of sight after awhile. I really miss them and wish I could figure out why but I know a lot of the post ops just get busy and don't have time. Some their computers mess up on them or something but just want you all to know I miss you a lot. Barbara , Lucky, Craig, Benny, Pixielf, Debbie, Linda, so many more that Im forgetting. That is the problem with getting old , we forget things lol. But just know that I love and miss all of you . Each day that you don't post it is like a child hasn't checked in with me . Love and hugs to all and remember that someone does love you . LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS JAN

Jan and all my Missouri friends, What a wierd day. Cool this morning, warmer in the middle of the day and now blustery and cold this evening. We're having leftover chili for dinner and that sounds so good since it cooled off. I'm driving up to North Missouri by myself. DH will take care of the animals and the house. I have been having killer heartburn but PCP told me to get Prevacid OTC and after the second day of taking it it really kicked in and now I'm fine. Good to know that it works for after surgery. I sure plan to be at the Circle of Friends meeting Monday. I'll be tired but I don't want to miss it. Hope everyone turns out. All of you have a warm and toasty evening. Love and hugs, Lana

Well I never have much time to post earlier in the day but here goes..... I have a new position at work which has been very straining on my eyes. Went for an eye exam last week, picked up my new glasses this evening! Finally I hope to find I don't get a headache from eye strain everyday. My girls and I just did a photo shoot! lol Posed for some silly pics for each other, hoping I could get a new mug for my posts. We'll see if that turned out. We had fun being silly though. Went to parent/teacher conference for my 7yr old....getting A's but trying to go see the school nurse EVERY day! lol STINKER! Stopped at the book fair and got some new books. One is "Ramona Quimby 8" so what did I do, got home with teh new school photos we got at the conference tonight, cut apart the ones to give classmates and she wrote her name then I wrote "age 8" on each one. SHe looks down and says "mom I'm not 8!" I said, "how old are you?" She said, "I'm 7!" LOL That book messed me up!!! oh well! So we've had plenty of laughs, now I'm about to go freeze my A$$ off walking 3 miles through the neighborhood! And FYI this WLS is STILL the best thing I've ever done for myself as well!!! Tami
