SATURDAY WHATS HAPPENING
Well it didn't get nearly as cold last night as they said it would did it? Right now it is 42 and my computer says the lowest it got was 41. That is ok ,Im glad. It is too early for those kinds of temps.
Well the working on the greenhouse is coming along well. My brother came down yesterday and we got all the post set and squared . That was a job making sure it was all perfectly squared up . But I finally found a way to do it that anyone can learn to do . I have never been able to figure out how to do it till now.
I worked right along with them all day yesterday , I was so tired last night I thought I was going to die but feel very good about myself and the fact that I could do it. 2 months ago I couldn't have done anything. Felt wonderful that I could do all that walking back and forth and running and getting things and stuff without feeling like I was going to pass out.
Today we are going to get the framing done and I am going to run into town and get the wiring so they can string the wire up to where they want it too. Then I can get busy digging a trench for the underground wire to the pole. While they do the heavy stuff. Lol
Just call me hard hat Jan.
Brenda: so good to hear from you , Oh I bet you so enjoyed your grandson. I know it is hard to only see them once in a while. Maybe when you get all your weight off you will feel more like going to visit them once in a while. Im sorry you are having so much trouble with dumping. My pouch is very picky too seems like. I mainly have to stick with really soft things too. Not sure about the corn chips .but I have found that I can eat shrimp ,which I love dearly, so I have a bag of frozen ones in the freezer and have about 4 of them a day. Lol good for me too.
Melissa: I know you are in Arkansas with your family and cant read this but hope you are having a really good time.
See you when you get back.
Claudette: do as the doctor says and take those antibiotics and by Monday you should be feeling lots better. Most people that think they have a cold this time of year it really is sinuses instead.
They can really make you feel miserable, I think it is worse than a cold. And can go into more things if you don't get it stopped . So glad that you got on that quickly.
Shrinking Patty: wish you wouldn't be such a lurker and would join us more often. Nice to hear from you again. Enjoy your week end off.
I will keep Stoney Dilts in my prayers and hope his surgery turns out great. Bothwell told me they were working on getting larger equipment so that one day soon they will be able to handle the larger patients .But of course that doesn't help the ones now.
Sherr: keep up with your blood sugars and that medicine. With eating no more than you are and losing weight you may need to really keep an eye on it. Ok? S.f. Popsicles where my very best friend the first 2 weeks after surgery. I also found some frozen 100% juice Popsicles that have no sugar and are really good and give you a little more taste . I probably went thru a box of those about every 3 days those two weeks lol
Well how did your date go? Lol Tell us all .
Lana. Hope your week end is great. I noticed yesterday that a lot of the trees around here are really turning colors.
Andrew: moving is really the pits isn't it? No body ever does what they say they will do at the time they say they will do it. Lol don't fret too much it will all get done eventually.
Im like you about the shows I love all the reality shows.
Great about you losing some more weight. That is fantastic, and yeah it isn't long until your surgery date . And will continue to go fast , just keep yourself occupied. I guess if you just sat and looked at the calendar it would go slow but I know with the moving you have plenty to do.
Have you talked to Dena about the psych eval and the guy up in Sedalia? I know it is a long way to go but if he will accept Medicare then it would be worth it.
If nothing else you could come over here and get an appointment with the one I used. Like I said it is a long way to go but would still save lots of money.
Colette: great to hear from you and isn't it neat that your one year is the same day as Andrews day? I watch you and say that if Colette can do it surely I can too. You're my idol.
How is your husband doing? I keep him in my prayers.
Wow wasn't that a snow and a half that the upper east coast had ? Glad it wasn't here. I like snow but not ready for it.
Well I need to get breakfast fixed and coffee on for the guys and get my protein shake drank so we can start in a little while working again. And I have to run to town to get the wiring and stuff. And get the siding we are going to put on the bottom 2 ft of the green house.
Im putting cedar on the bottom and the rest will be this clear stuff that is stronger than glass and reflects more light. I will have water inside and elect inside wow. Really uptown. I wont know what to think.
Everyone have a great day and great week end.
Looks like I am going to be really busy this week end. Love all of you.
LOVE AND JOY AND PEACE ABOUNDS

The time for surgery is swiftly approaching, a week for this coming thursday I go for my pre-op consult and blood work, then the following thursday it is rebirth day. I sure hope I can stay healthy till it's over, cause I think I am coming down with the stomach flu. My grandson is so sharing..........

Hi everybody! Haven't been on for awhile -- I was out of town for a bit and got back Tuesday evening, and was really busy at work the rest of the week. I read through what I missed last night and caught up with everybody -- it's like needing to see what your family has been up to while you were gone!
Jan, your greenhouse sounds great! You are a workhorse, as my dad would have said. Don't overdo. And can't wait to talk to Sherr to catch up -- I'll try to call today -- almost called you last night but after I got on website and saw that you may have been entertaining a male companion in the privacy of your own home I was glad I hadn't called -- didn't want to be accused of interrupting anything! Andrew is getting settled in new digs, Craig is on the go, lots of surgeries coming up -- busy place!
My husband had business in the Northeast last week, so I met him in New Hampshire on Thursday and then we drove up the coast of Maine to Camden. We really had a fun time -- going through New Hampshire and inland Maine the trees were gorgeous, and once we got to the coast I wasted no time in getting my fill of lobster! Went down with no problems, and even had about quarter cup of clam chowder a couple of times as well.
I think I've been really fortunate -- I've had no problems in keeping things down. My only issue is a time or two when I've eaten something too fast that I immediately knew that was a mistake, but haven't thrown up or had any issues with dumping (poor Brenda!). Based on Dr. Scott's guidelines, I am at the point where I can have ground beef, so last night I cooked hamburger (93% lean) on George Forman and had with sugar free applesauce. Let me say that between the leanness of the meat and cooking it on the George, no fat on that burger -- it tasted really good though, and as much as anything just to have a new texture. That's been interesting to me is now being so cognizant of the texture of different foods -- never gave it a thought before!
Our beloved Sheltie is having some gastrointestinal issues herself yesterday and today, so I'm off to take her to the vet and then coming home to steam the carpet -- who says city life isn't exciting?
Take care, all!
Dear Jan and all,
We took our ride, drove on old US 66 from Marshfield to Halltown. It was fun but we really had to be on the lookout to find things that looked as if they'd been there before I-44 was built. We identified some old gas stations that, of course, had no pumps. However, if you look at them creatively you can figure out what they used to be. I am so sad about Exotic Animal Park closing. I worry about the animals in their new homes. Hope and pray they got safe healthy places to go. I am a die-hard animal lover, can't help it, always been that way. I have a problem with my cat, Emily. She kills birds. It is terrible. I have seven bells on her collar and she still manages to catch them. I have ordered an item called a CatBib, supposed to hang from her collar and interfere with her pouncing. I'll let you know how it works as soon as I get it. My daughter and grandson and John's two sons and daughter have confirmed for Christmas so I'm excited. Going to have a big Christmas.
Hugs and love to all of you.
Lana
Jan & Company:
Late I know, but I wanted to come and tell you Gals (((and guys if ya care))) about last night....
Well, I should say yesterday AFTERNOON.... Brock was working in the next county over from me at their hospital ((((he works for a sleep lab company, and they are just setting up their lab in this hospital's facilities))))
SO, he calls at 4:00 p.m. yesterday and says, "I am 15 minutes away, and finished for the day, so what say I come on over NOW..."
Now, see, I hadn't had my shower or made dinner yet, so I freaked....
Yes, I can take a shower, apply make up, get dressed and at least blow out my hair in 15 minutes.......lol.....FOR A FACT!
He came over, and the puppies LOVE him.... So he got the "tour" of my home, and like a typical guy, was most impressed with the workshop I have, and my privacy fence LOL....
We went out and tried to rent "Click", but it was all gone, so we rented a couple of movies, and he says, "If it's okay with you, I will just pick up a pizza, so you won't have to cook"......
GREAAAATTTT, can you even imagine HOW GOOD IT SMELLED?????
There I sat, looking at pizza, eating my egg
DAMN IT....
At around 10:00 my 16 year old ((((who had "swapped" vehicles with mom for the night)))) came home in time to meet Brock, and pick up his truck, so he could take his best buddy home......
They got to meet, Dylan (son) says, he's a big dude mom....his hand shake was firm, so I had to "give it back to him"....GOOD LORD...MEN....GEEESSSHHHH.....
So that's it....it was nice, weird, but nice....
I still hurt a lot, and the naseau, is about to get the best of me. My mom is going to test my blood sugar tomorrow, to see if I am in a good range, they told me, I could very well end up not needing my Diabetes Meds soon, and that might be why I feel so darn ill, because I am taking it still......
He has invited me to his town tomorrow, but, I don't know....I was still so worn out all day today from just a few hours of entertaining yesterday that I don't know if I will feel like it or not....
Sad isn't it? LOL
Tried to eat some Protein fortified jello from "Meta Health" a company in Columbia....and GOD was it nasty.....
Nothing tastes good to me now...what IS THAT about???
Love you all
Sherr
