Wednesday Whats Happening

The middle of another week. That really doesn't mean a lot to me since I don't work anymore but I remember when I did. Of course working as a nurse you don't work m-f like ordinary people so Wed might be the start of your work week or the end. Just know it was hard work. When I get enough weight off I am thinking about seeing if I can find a easy part time job. But sure don't want to go back to nursing. It has taken me awhile to get all of the resentment about how nurses are treated out of my head and heart and don't want to go back to that. I loved being a nurse just the treatment of nurses is awful. By the other people they work with, by their supervisions, by the state. Is a thankless job. And a job that doesn't pay nearly as well as it should , with no benefits, no health care , no retirement, no nothing. Anyway I guess some of that resentment is still there. Lol didn't mean to get started on any of that. My brother is suppose to come down today and help us get started on the green house for sure. And then we will see how much polycarbonate we need to order too. I put all of my plants into the trailer for now since it is suppose to start getting cold tomorrow night. Tomorrow I will pick all of my tomatoes off the vines so I can either give them to my daughter to fry or maybe they will ripen on the window sill. Also will cut a bouquet of the last roses of summer. Claudette: hopefully the shots will help my knees . I am praying that they will anyway. Dr. McClain told me to not be walking like I have been for the next two weeks till the shots are all in there. So will make the walks shorter. And try to stay on the most level ground. That is sort of hard around here. Lol The frozen peaches in the van ice cream shake was pretty good. It was thick enough that I had to eat it with a spoon. Lol Would have been better if I had , had some peach flavor to add to it I think. Looking forward to seeing you on the 23rd too. Sherr: we are never too old to have a date. My husband is or was a red neck when I met him and let me tell you he is the best man in the world. Would give me anything in this world if he had the money to do it. Has always treated me like a princess. Hey be careful about what you try to eat right now. That little pouch has to heal. Take care and eat your protein and sip your water and walk and rest. You cant start off doing everything like a full fledged racer. Just take it easy and heal. Tressia: well how come your daughter and kids decided to move back in with you for awhile. Did you have a hint of that before she came down. Surprise surprise huh? The art show sounds wonderful and at 10 days post op you should feel well enough to enjoy the day. Just don't try to over do. Let others do it for you for awhile. Would love to come but I don't even have any idea where Pevely is. LOL Why are they going to have to do an open rny on you? You will be ok Im sure and I will pray for you as will others. Yes going on any liquid protein diet will reduce the size of your liver and make the surgery easier plus will stock your body up on protein with will make the healing time less. You need lots of protein to heal well. Melissa. Did you get your rain yesterday. We didn't until last night about 9pm then only for about 10 minutes but it poured for that 10minutes. Yes I love liver and onions if it is cooked right. I don't like it hard and tough but smothered and tender. Do you soak yours in milk before you ever start cooking it? I hope you have a great weekend with your folks. Is always fun going home like that isn't it? Lana: yeah the exercise girl was a bundle of info. I am calling her today to get the handout that she talked about Monday night. Maybe it would be a good idea to get a copy of what she did for denial to send in the first time and maybe you wont get denied. Does that make since? Save a little time? Am anxious for you to have the surgery. With being in the exercise mode already you will do really well. Alan: lol sorry some of the info got a little too much for men there. We sometimes forget that this isn't just a woman thing. But at least you are married and understand how we women are. Or I guess you do. Lol. Did you get the Rocky Road flavor of protein drink? How do you like it. If your having trouble finding it if you will email me I can send you a picture of a container that I took a picture . So many were wanting to know what it was , was easier to send a picture than try and explain. Huera: Hey I know about where you live. My parents owned a resort out of Mt Home for several years. Fish and Fiddle Resort. Have you ever heard of it? Anxious to see you on the 23rd . So you will be able to make that meeting most months. That will be great. Jan & Co.: Goooood Morning, & Happy Hump Day! My Mom is going to come over and help me hang all of my pictures. I've known WHERE I wanted them since I bought the house, just haven't felt the need to hang any, until now Pain in my left side was worse than normal yesterday, guess it's a "healing" pain...still hate it, tho. The doc says it's where the camera was....must have been a BIG camera Good to see everyone posting! I need to look at the weather, as I had no idea it was getting as cold as Jan is saying, holy cow....I don't have any "FAT GIRL WARM CLOTHING"...lol..... XOXO S

Good morning. Glad to see everyone is doing well. Special prayers out to Craig. I know what you mean Jan about nursing. I see it where I work. But I continue to hang around as the money is really good and it is close to home/ On Social security it really helps. We are seeing a big decline in nurses and more people are leaving the field. We are doing ok. Seems like I am having a hard time finding time to exercise. That is my intention to find time this week. Well, gotta go. Yes, I am working 5 days this week. Colette

Goood Morning Ya'll Well Im finally moved, not settled tho lol Ai yi yi, someone remind me NOT to do this again lol. We got everything over here safe and sound without breaking one thing yay! God really blessed us with help on saturday, I orignally had two people coming over to help move, we ended up with 4 guys plus myself, you talkin about movin fast, sheeeh lol we had everything over here in two loads (using a pickup and a large trailer) and it was all over here in TWO hours man these guys were movin lol. I told them I'd be sure to let everyone know how fast they can move people they said NO NO LoL Anyway, were over here now still putting stuff away and all. Had the phone hooked up on monday, the cable was spose to be hooked up on monday too but they never showed up. About noon I went and called them and they said they couldnt find the place and we had no phone at the time so they cancelled us..ugh :| I was so mad. Now they are not coming out until friday It's not all that bad really its just our internet is with the cable so I wasnt able to write until now, Im at the library. The part the makes me mad is im missing all my reality shows LoL Yeah Im a reality tv junkie lol. I esp like The Biggest Loser and Survivor and a few others. So hopefully friday they'll be out here like they said. I've read a few back posts and seems everyone is busy busy and doin ok. Craig I'll keep you in my prayers bud. Im so glad David is going good, was thinkin about him over the weekend wondering how he was Well I gotta get going, the phone company is spose to be out this morning to bury the phone cable they left strung across our yard, over the driveway into the neighbors yard. I had to call and ask them to come bury it before something starts to chew or break it and then we have no phone, yikes! It'll prolly be friday or the weekend before I post again. tks Melissa, yes I have lived in west plains all my life. my family is all here and in Branson.. we just built a log house near pomona about 3 years ago what do they call it "A hobby farm" lol 5 acres. I am just a county girl and love it. but sure would like to be able to walk and do more in the yard. It was cold last night. I hope my flowers are ok a little longer, just keep me in your prayers and I will do the same for you all....venita

Good Brrrrrrrr Morning Everyone: I believe someone left the freezer door open last night when we all went to bed. It's a little *****illy out this morning. I am cleaning my back bedroom/porch and getting it ready for all the plants to come inside today. They say the temp in my area tonight is going to be in the low 40's and Thursday night the 30's. So my babies are coming in for awhile anyways. DH is at Sear's getting new tires on our car this morning. So the house is all quite. We turned the heat back on in the house last night. Today is my DH & I 8 yrs engagement anniversary. Yes, I know I am silly but its a female thing. lol Jan: I cant really say how I decided. I just look for flavors that sounded really good to me. I used the Egg Nog flavor yesterday. If you enjoy egg nog around the holidays that is one to choose. Mmmmmmmmmmmm I had DH try it to see what he thought and I ended up having to go back inside to make another one cause he drank it all. lol Sherr: Dont push yourself for this weekend!!! Collette: So glad to see you around. How is your DH doing?? Andrew: I glad to see that your back. I think I would rather have dental work then to move. Been there done that all my life!!! First of there is never a question that is too silly only the ones you dont ask. And second that is what we are all here for. There was a time that I didnt know nothing about Protein, BMI, Fats, Exercise, ect. Please come out and post more. We are always so glad to see some new faces on the board. Hi Jan and All: Well I believe I had a feeling they (daughter kids, and the other half) were going to ask to move back home but was hoping not. They are having financial difficulty young kids you know not knowing how to budget monies, not to mention a dead beat for a spouse that doesn't want to work they just want to live off the system. (well I better not get on my soap box). Anyway, Jan they have to do an open RNY on me because of my body mass. My bmi is 76.4 Not good I'm ashamed to mention. I am excited about the art show and I am sure I'll be fine, John has so much talent. if you should like to look at any of his work, he has some of it displayed on web gallery. Just go to Yessy.com and in the search bar type in his name, John Mathews. That is only a sample of his work. He has some work on display at the military base in White Sands NM. He's done some art work for the military. Anyway I could go on for ever about his art. By the way Pevely Mo is south of St. Louis down 55 hwy about 23 miles. Hello Jan & all My wife went to Walmart to see if they had the protein drink but she couldn't find the brand you use, so she got me another brand to try. It is still 100% whey, she got me chocolate but I have not tried it yet. If I don't like this I will go to food 4 less and get the other brand. Also found out today Dr Hodges office sent in my paper work to my insurance co for approval. Do not know how long until I hear anything back from them, now I am really getting nervous.
