Protein-powders, shakes, juices-whatever
Ok, this may sound stupid, and if so I am sorry, but here goes, how do you decide which ones you liked and dis liked, other than just buying a variety and throwing away what you did not like. I wish there was a way of getting like a ton of samples of them so we could figure out what we like before spending alot of money on them and then not liking all the ones we bought. Oh, and requarding vitamins. I believe I was told the only ones I will need every day is a good multivitamin, b-12 and calcium. Does that sound right to you guys... Looking for some major input guys- help, help. thanks,
susan
Susan i know i was at a loss too before i finally was recommended by Melissa to try the protein powder made by ON it is 100% whey protein comes in a big black jug and has lots of flavors. You can get it at Food 4 Less in Springfield and i think most GNCs sell it now too. If you like Rocky Road flavor that is great. I am on Vanilla Ice Cream flavor now and putting in different s.f. syrups and a little fruit. to change it around. Most of the web sites for protein do have samples but you have to pay for them. I sent off for a sample of profect that is advertised on this website and i dont know about everyone else but i could barely keep it down. So it is just a matter of trying. Maybe you could have at your support group everyone to bring a sample of what they are using for everyone to try. that might be interesting.

Susan,
Im pre-op and Since I've had 6 weeks to try some out I have found that the Met-RX berry blast is the best for me. I have also tried the pure plus and its equally as good. I have had a hard time cause I cant stand the taste of the Whey protein cause of the smell and after taste. So, I have gotten the orange and vanilla and berry blast in Met-Rx and the Pure plus mango, strawberry bannana, and grape...Boy those are really good. My son and Husband like them to. GNC has given me samples of some but not to thrilled with them. I figured that the Vanilla I can blend in some fruit to make it have a different taste. Good Luck.
