Wednesday Whats Happening

Can you believe this is already the 4th of October? Yesterday I went down into Arkansas and picked up some iris that this lady had listed on Freecycle. She said they were all just normal colors but I will put them up the driveway in clumps so it doesn't matter what the colors are they will be pretty. Joe worked on the painting in the guest house. We actually will get done with this place one of these days. We need to have someone that knows how to hang a door to come and help him hang the back door. It is in there but not good . I hope everyone in this area plans on coming to the Springfield support group meeting next Monday. I have another shot into my knees next Monday in the afternoon so then after that I will just go onto the support meeting. I cant believe this weather can you? Of course the weather has been really screwy all year. So I don't know why I would expect this fall to be any different. Craig : it was so neat for you to call me yesterday afternoon. I was in the grocery store and reaching for the laundry soap and my phone rang and it was my old buddy Craig. Was so good to talk to you. Im so proud of you with all you have been doing and he is going like crazy. It is sort of like being let out of jail and have all this new freedom isn't it? I cant wait to see the new pictures of you that you have promised. Debra: thanks for the compliments on the daily posting. I hope things are going well for you now and you are doing great with your weight loss. Keep it up and do all the things you know you should do. Rachael: That is great that you have gotten a new doctor to help you find out what is wrong with you. I will continue to pray that God will give him the wisdom to find the answer. Claudette: yes Joes crab shack was great. The staff did a dance to At the Car wash... was really cute. There was this little baby boy in there in a high chair and he was trying to do all the same things they were doing. He was so cute. Would be loads of fun to meet down there sometime. I really like the place. And if you get tired you just pop into the Brookstone store and sit in one of their massage chairs. Oh My God that is pure heaven. Massages you from top to bottom. Even your legs and feet ,most fantastic 15 minutes I have spend in a long time. Lol. I felt taller and refreshed when I got up. Sherr: you aren't a wimp getting tired this week. WE all did the first week and I still do some. Most days I take a nap in the afternoon if I can. I decided that if that makes me feel better so what. I will take a nap. No matter when you drive home you need to remember to stop about every hour and get out and walk around your car at least once .twice would be better but once will do really. Sounds like you are doing really great with the walking keep it up it will help you get some of the weight off. Right now you have two orders. Drink and walk. That is what you need to concentrate on. Good luck. Melissa: I know what you mean about the pool and I knew when I took it down we would have this weather. I just knew it. I know what you mean about the news. It is getting to where I don't really want to watch it anymore either. I don't know if that is like sticking your head in the sand and hiding but it is so sad. To hear of some insane person killing a pregnant mother and cutting out the baby. Or a deranged person going into schools and killing babies. Now in the large cities there is another thing going on . Teenagers are thinking it cool to find homeless people and beating them up and killing some of them. I know it has been said by other generations but I don't know how much longer God will allow this awful stuff to go on. Hey when do you go to see your surgeon again . About repairing your hernia? Isn't it this month? I hope the problem with your fil and his lic. Is resolved before too much longer. Have you seen him drive and does he drive ok? Does he seem confused? Or was that just a one time thing? Your party the other night sounds like you all had a really good time. Lana: Sounds like your daughter is a very patient young lady. I would be like you , going nuts because they were staying longer than they were suppose to. Didn't they have an agreement about when they would move when he bought the house? Your husband sounds like mine. Since I had surgery and only cooking for one basically Joe has been eating less and he is doing like I do about chewing really well and laying his spoon or fork down in between bites. He has lost a little bit of weight and is proud of it. It will probably make his back feel better if he got a little more off. Barbara: I know what you mean about not being able to stand up to do things before. Isn't it great? Never thought I would say that it is even making me happy that I can do some of the housework too now. Yesterday morning I got up and cleaned the bathroom really well then dusted all the furniture. Wow I must be feeling good to do housework lol I hate housework. I would rather be digging in the dirt. I too use to cry about all that I couldn't do anymore. Just walking , or cleaning my own house lots of things would make me weepy but now I have more strength and stamina is getting better and better. The more I do the more I can do. Everyday when I take my walk I add more distance to the walk. In the country here we have no corners or such to mark our progress but I go to the next house or the next mailbox , those are my markers. I am up to a mile and will go for more in the morning. Just bought 150 assorted tulip bulbs yesterday to plant in the front flower beds .reds, yellows, pink, whites, purples. They will be nice next spring. I am planning on the entrance to our driveway. Have grafted it out on paper and trying to decide what I want to plant on each side of the drive. I think I am going to go for evergreen and texture. Maybe plant some color in the spring there but mainly greenery . Maybe some pampas grasses too. Anyway another plan in the works. As Joe says another one of those "we" projects. Good Morning all, Phew what a busy day yesturday. We started out early having some errands to get done and ended up late. I don't think I got home til after 8pm, gosh I was so tired. I cant wait to get this weight off so I can get around better. We fought with Ameren all day trying to get a main line hooked up so we can get power to the place. They have a few things to do to the place yet before we can move in but need power to do them, ugh. Finally yesturday afternoon we got ahold of the construction supervisor for ameren in this area. We told him our desperate situation that I need to be out of my apartment cuz of other people already wanting to move in but cant move til we get power and that I need power for my cpap machine and stuff. He said well lemme call ya back. The wife and I prayed and asked God for favor with him, then he calls back and says well he'll send the crew out friday to fix all that, woohoo. The owners have been trying to get them to commit for 2 weeks, thank the good Lord for favor. So it looks as if we'll finally be moving this weekend. We spent the rest of the day getting all the other things transfered, phone and cable. We'll have cable and internet on wednsday so I wont be but a couple days without the net, yay!! We ordered a wooden storage shed about 3 weeks ago, it was built in Kentucky, it was delievered yesturday afternoon, woot woot. So we can at least start moving a few things into that, it's an 8 x 10, sounds small but it really has quite a bit of room. WooHooo Craig, sounds like your just doing so well, sponge bob would be so proud of ya LoL Thats awesome tho, I cant wait to be on that side of the bench with ya, gosh I cant believe how soon it will be, next month woot woot.. Actually it's 1month, 9days and 14 hours from now LOL. Well I better get going, we gotta run to fredericktown this morning to see my wifes dad, we usally try to spend one day a week with him visiting, he so looks forward to it. Good Morning MO Peeps: Wow can you believe that it is Wednesday already??? Time really does fly I guess. lol... Today I need to go to Wal Mart and get a phone line for DH laptop and some effervesent (sp) for his sinus's. This weather is play havoc on his sinus and maken him miserable. Looks like another beatiful day were going to have. Were going to my parents house for the weekend. I havent seen my parents in almost 2 months now. So I am looking foward to the visit. My mother called me yesterday she went to see her cancer Dr. She has to have 20 sessions of radation back to back. So for 4 weeks 5 days a week she will go in for radation. So please keep her in your prayers. She is getting so discouraged and wants to give up. Jan: That place Joe's crab shack sounds like a great place. Is it in Branson? DH has a birthday coming up at the end of this month and that gives me an idea. lol As far as my F-I-L goes NO he has no bussiness driveing at all!!! I have rode with him a couple of years ago and said then I would never ride with him again. He is sharp as a tack when it comes to money. But how to make good judgement call when it comes to driving have left the building. And I understand alot of it is him feeling like he is looseing his independence. And I am sure I will feel the same way if and when it happens to me. lol No I go back and see Dr.S for my 6 month follow up at the end of this month. My surgery for my hernia repair is in November. I will leave to go up on the 12th, see Dr. R on the 13th and do my post -op. Then surgery is on the 14th. And I dont know how long I will be in?? Dr. R said anywhere from 4 to 8 days. So it looks like were going out for Thanksgiving dinner with his father cause I doubt I will wanna cook. Of course I say that now but you know me I will change my mind. lol I hope you all have a great day!!!! God Bless Melissa
