Hi Lana! Thanks so much for the reply! You are right! Non-judgemental support in essential in this journey we've undertaken, and I guarantee that you will get just that at our new support group. Yippee........................... I am so excited about the new support group in Springfield. I can not wait until the first meeting. It sounds like it will be just what I have been looking for. Actually it sounds more like an answer to prayer. I am so glad you are going to be the leader Claudette .I absolutely loved the new protein shake. I tried the vanilla ice cream shake you recommended and it is great. I have not done very much playing around with the shakes. I found the one I liked(Isopure)(by the way you recomended it to me 2 years ago and I still love it. )I have tried a few protein shakes but I have not been able to tolerate them. But I love this new stuff and am going to get some for me and my sister.I also like the price. You get 2 times as much as Isopure at 2/3 the price. And it taste just as good. I am trying to stock up on a few things and give her a pre-surgery gift of everything she will need for the first month in her cabinet.Her surgery is scheduled for December 3 at Sedalia.Dr. Hornbostal is going to be her surgeon. I am going to let her know about the new support group too. I am hoping she will come too. I think a good support group is very important for anyone thinking of having bariatric surgery,anyone planning on having bariatric surgery and post ops Again I am so glad that you are going to lead the group. You taught me so much before and after my surgery in 2004.I don't think I would have been as successful had you not been so helpful at the support meetings.I read the books.I read everything I could get my hands on. I wanted to know the good, the bad, and the ugly before I had surgery. You were truthful and real with me and explained it just like it is. Thank you so much.I am so proud to be a member of the circle of friends bariatric support group. My husband ,Bob, is planning on coming with me. He has really been a wonderful support person for me. And as Glenna says"Our spouses/support persons are bariatric experts. They are there with us through it all. They live with a bariatric patient 24 hours a day/7 days a week. "My husband can recognize that I am having a problem with a food or something, some times before I even realize it. Sorry to go on and on but I am so excited and I am really needing this group. I just love you and Bob and the group would not be complete without you. Yeah Tami...it's Lisa the one with the baby...he's 7 months old now!! the later start time will help her a lot...she works until 5:00 and has almost an hour drive back to Springfield.
